One of the coolest hypnosis scenes I’ve seen tbh. The way he uses a simple sound to subconsciously condition and induce a hypnotic state upon the victim

I think he attempted briefly then it didn't work. She just commented they looked like cool beach balls then acted like a naggy overbearing "shrew" to make Satan regret trying this plot in a season four moment.

If it doesn't work on Luci and he's just for the trickery and amusement playing along here, it makes sense too why Bean's never hypnotized. Either she and Lucy are unaffected, because of supernatural abilities or just simply being strong willed/of clever intellect in contrast to most demons or other people or trolls, or; Satan, like Luci says, is just a poor sap who thinks he is great at hypnotism but is mostly bad at it.
