I saw it happen to Cactus when I worked there in the late 70s. All of a sudden, Brazilians, Japanese, everyone from all over Oz and Africa etc.
The place isnt a secret. Its just not that good. A very very long mission to get to it. Remote and you really need to go in by boat and stay at the hut as there are a few spots around the coast. But if the swell increases you could get stuck. And the milluons of sandflies will drain your blood. And its cold with big sharks. Id take Indo any day
