Lovely video for International womens day. i adore the fact my absolute favourite Agnetha leadvocal and my Absolute favourite Frida leadvocal were both recorded in June 1980 and each has said publically they loved their friends performance on The Winner Takes It All and Our Last Summer, and wished if they could have chosen what song they'd have liked to have sung, it would've been those songs. I also appreciate the fact both women added to what Benny & Bjorn created in the studio. Agnetha practised hard and found the perfect way to perform 'Hasta Manana' which they had struggled to find the right way to sing, and that gloriously dramatic vocal obligato line in The Day Before You Came was Frida's idea. The song writters credit may almost always say Andersson & Ulvaeus but our ladies and those studio musicians came up with lots of ways to give the songs different ideas. I'm sure it would have been the same in their work as solo artists. I was really suprised to realise Agnetha and Frida first met for the first time in January 1968 when as solo artists they appeared on the same Swedish TV show while their future husbands had met each other two years earlier. The ABBA story is really some kind of miracle that it actually happened.
I remember getting aware of this story with the ''Hasta Manana" recording from a book titled ''Abba in their own words" compiled by R.York.They had desperaty tried several ways to make it sound satisfactory enough to their judgement but felt nothing could work.Suddenly Agnetha tried to sing it very very sensitively the 'Connie Francis way' who was also one of her teen idols.And bingo!Her delivery clicked perfectly and they kept it that way.
We are blessed to have two beautiful talented ladies in this world that has give us so much joy. Thank you Agnetha and Frida ❤❤

Agnetha and Frida have a very special bond and friendship between them and like they say they look out for each other especially when they were going through their divorces and also big life events. I love hearing Frida talking about Agnetha as her little sister and Agnetha saying about her dear friend Frida. Agnethas daughter Linda has a special relationship with Frida
Björn and Benny might have had the pen to write the songs, and the vision behind them, but Agnetha and Frida are the beating heart of ABBA. As simple as that. They really gave life to all those songs, from People Need Love to Ode to Freedom. I celebrate them every time I listen to their music.

When ABBA was in Benny's studio in 2021, and they were filming, they panned over to Frida and Agnetha sitting down, having a conversation, showing each other things on their phones. They looked happy to have the chance to be in the same room again. Just catching up like old friends do when they are together! Great video BB, you old softie!

For me they are for the last time together on stage is my best memory. I was in the audience on 26 may 2022 that moment i never forget. It gives me so much tears and after it i find myself so stupid that i did not film this special moment. All four together on stage i had hope so many years for this moment and than it happened in front of me. I know for sure all four are friends for live and i will always love them ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think there is no need to feel stupid about not filming *the moment*. First of all, the moment was heavily documented anyway. Secondly, I read comments from fans who filmed it, or took photographs, and they feel upset now, because they don't actually remember the moment at all, because they were distracted for their films and photographs. For you, it is the best memory, and that's the most precious think to keep!

What a heartwarming and perfectly timed pictorial tribute to two ladies who are the epitome of female beauty and grace together and standing alone.
There have been many female ensembles of all variety but in my opinion none of them were as stunningly potent as Frida and Agnetha.
The two of them on the boat sailing down on Södeström, with the wind in their hair in the SNC video is my absolute favorite moment of our two heroines. ❤
They were more than a band. Their music spoke to us in so many ways. They were special and always will be❤️
The blending of their voices have such an amazingly authentic exhuberance and inspiring energy. Bobby, I was 5 years old when Abba came to Australia in 1977 and it was my first ever concert. I remember vividly the girls playfully singing Get On The Carousel with blonde wigs and dancing around the stage.. It has remained to this day one of my very favourite songs and moments of my 45 year love affair with ABBA.
It's okay for people to not like Abba. Not everyone has good taste.
I remember the video clip Gimme, gimme, gimme. They are in the studio recording the song and we can see Frida whispering something to Agnetha and they both laugh. It's a pleasant moment of complicity that makes me feel love them even more.
I have felt their so special friendship in so many Songs they have sang together and in so many interviews. God bless Agnetha🌹 and Frida🌹 👩❤️👩🙏🏽 and my and Susans LOVE for them ❤️❤️

I remember when the press and fans constantly said they didn't get along and were very negative about their relationship. I always thought the opposite. So happy all that has finally stopped!

I think they have each been quite honest about their relationship down the years. They both admit they had little tiffs but it was short lived stuff that even siblings have. Especially out on tour or on the promotion trail, when they were homesick and cooped up in hotels, they probably needed to let off steam. But they also knew what the other was going through in those mad days of ABBA mania. Among all the thousands of photo's of them, one of my favourites is of the group singing 'Chiquitita' in Switzerland in early 1979. Not from the official video but the one filmed indoors on the same trip. Agnetha and Björn had recently announced their split and she was apparently quite down on this trip abroad. In the photo, it isn't immediately noticeable because they are sitting behind a table but Frida has her arms crossed on her lap and Agnetha has her hand resting on top of Frida's. It's such a small, unassuming but charming gesture that friends would do without even thinking about it. You know, they were very much in a male dominated environment. I like to think they were supporting each other, particularly as the marriages broke down.

First of all Bobby, I LOVE your presentation of my 2 favorite female singers of all times❤ As I saw watching and listening I could not hold back my tears and I can feel my heart swell up with sooo much happiness and love I have for ABBA but also for both Agnetha and Frida that I was left speechless ❤❤❤❤ There are a few moments I like. One where they were singing Fernando and the ladies held back from bursting out from laughing, another where Frida steps towards Agnetha and leans forward as if she was gonna bite Agnetha, another where Frida pats Agnetha on the head as they are facing each other. Another one where the 2 are slow dancing at a rehearsal in Tokyo....I think? Another one when they are singing Under Attack and Frida leans towards Agnetha as if Frida was whispering in Agnetha ear😅😅😅. There's another video where Agnetha was stand next to Frida, but in front of her, and they're singing, but it looks like Frida said something funny or maybe tickled Agnetha where Agnetha just broke up laughing hilariously. I have always wonder what happen as well as when they both were singing Fernando. Thought for sure that both ladies were gonna loose it, but surprisingly, they held it together. Those have always been special to me and I always thought of them has sisters right from the start. Not only could I see, but feel the love they have for each other and still do today. I admire and love them both so dearly and so much because of that ❤❤❤❤❤
Forgot.....when the ladies sing "Thank you for the Music", the Spanish version, Frida was wearing a blue one piece suit with a belt(???) I love how the 2 ladies stood close together, but at 1 point , the way Frida look at Agnetha and she(Frida) was stepping away from Agnetha.....just touch me so emotionally. I see not only the love, respect,, but the way Frida was "also" saying......Thank you to Agnetha as well. And there was an Interview with the 4 members towards the end of the "group area"....they played a game on a slot machine and then they sang "Thank you for the music " and the way Frida just kept looking at Agnetha was so so so touching and emotional for me. I saw the love, the respect, the friendship, and the sisterhood that had develope between the 2 ladies is unremarkable and unbreakable bond❤❤❤❤❤ I hope all this made sense. I love them so dearly and I have such a hard time putting my feelings into words😢❤❤❤

I think the number of views this video has, over 150K, in one day speaks to the Love and appreciation ABBA fans have for these amazing Ladies!! They captured our hearts and continue to keep us wanting more because we can’t get enough of the harmonies and music when A&F sing together…..no other voices compare, IMO. Yes, they were different in many ways but we know from them and hundreds of photos and videos the deep admiration and respect they had and have for each other and on stage at the Voyage Premiere we saw the Love they have for each other……bonded like Sisters

I saw Abba in Perth, Australia in 1977. I was 10 years old. It was one of the most precious and wonderful experiences I have ever had. I love them all😍
What a team. Together they are and were such a powerhouse. Life was so much better when Abba played regularly on the radio. And again when Dancing Queen was played at the end of the Celebration parade of the Las Vegas Golden Knights win Of the CUP! Made tears come to my eyes! ABBA best for EVER.
