    This very much helped me out in choosing a lift-kit for my 2015 silverado 1500. Very few video creators do not show the public the suspension angles of their system after installing any level/lift-kit. Based on this video I will be choosing this kit for my truck, due to the spindles allowing much better ball joint angles, especially for the lower ball joint since a lot of people only think of the upper ball joint. The plus of not being able to chop up your pride and joy is a big positive when choosing smaller level/lift-kits, whether you own your truck or leasing it to then return the truck in the future. I am a mechanic for GM cars and trucks and having to keep the stock upper control arms for this kit is a big no-brainer. The stock upper control arms for these trucks are very reliable and for the years that I have been in the mechanic field, I have never replaced a single upper control arm on both (correctly) lifted or stock suspension angles for GM trucks. Thank you for the in-depth video of your very nice truck with a very underrated level-lift kit.

    I bought the same kit for my 2014 silverado w/the lifted struts.....worst ever!!! Right out of the box the ride was stiffer then the leveling kit I had prior. Also not even having the kit for a year the ball joints went out. No Cadillac ride for me. So I just changed my lift with a 4.5 maxtrax spindle lift with bilstien shocks and Wow what a difference!!! Looks better and the ride is night and day compared to rough country. I really wanted to like the rough country kit bit I had to move on.

    Hey it’s been 2 years u still got that truck and lift how’s it holding up lol

    • @1lilmagoo
      @1lilmagoo  Před 2 lety +1

      Still have the truck and same lift. It is holding up well. I am having a little bit of inside tire wear and have had it aligned 3 times since the lift kit. They informed me I need longer Cam bolts to get the Cam inline. I think it might go out over time which is causing the issue. I will say it is not the greatest ride, and if i were to do it again now that they came out with the 5" RC kit with the lifted knuckles (it was not available when i purchased this kit) They only had the 5" bracket lift and it was way to much cutting on a new truck for me. That is the lift I originally wanted but I am impatient and could not wait. Either way it is holding up well no issues besides the inside of tires wearing slightly premature. Here in NC I have put around 45K miles on these tires so far. Hope this helps. If anyone asked would you put this one your truck again. The answer is yes.

    How has your gas mileage changed since you put on the left and tires?

    • @1lilmagoo
      @1lilmagoo  Před 2 lety +1

      Honestly i only had the truck for 2K miles before adding the lift and tires. It has been a good kit but if you purchase buy the longer Cam bolts to help alignment.

      I wish i went with a "real" lift kit. like the 5" knuckle kit but when I bought this they only said that the 5" bracket lift was all that was available for an 2018 and I didnt want that kit. Either way it has been a fine kit and i have now been wanting to upgrade to a bigger lift.

    • @1lilmagoo
      @1lilmagoo  Před 2 lety

      A weird scalloping on the inside of the tires. Not sure but even having tires on the back and multiple rotations did not stop it. I have had about 3 alignments since having this lift installed which is a little over 2 years now. I do have 45K miles on these tires. let me get it washed up and I will do an overview of that lift for a follow up.
