You've got the best of both worlds there. Sea and Land. Absolutely agree with you about natural beauty being replaced by las vegas in many parts of Australia actually.
We went to Port Douglas for Bettie's Mum's birthday a couple of years ago as a family getaway. Was really nice! We swam at a beach where everyone was swimming and later found out they get crocs at that beach.... now I don't' trust any beach north of Noosa LOL
I don't know any locals who swim on the coast. Out at the islands or reef yes. I am that used to not swimming near the coast that I feel uneasy when we go south and see people swimming in the rivers and on the coast. John
Sounds like you made good use of the down time. Your right about the BOM, better off looking out the window and tossing a coin. Look forward to seeing the boat. All the best.
I heard the other day they issued a general warning to be prepared for dryer and hotter weather in the coming months. We are not going out to buy big hats. John
We are coming to a bit of a crossroad's with our channel as we do less farming and more retirement type stuff we are not sure what to do I set the channel up to do video's primarily about life on a small farm. We are still going to be doing some farming stuff mixed with more variety of things and we now wonder if the channel name is appropriate. We don't really want to change the name. Bit of a quandary. John
Wow, over 121 mile boat trip (you stopped reporting lengths of legs). Plenty of time to get close and talk about life! Speaking of which, I saw a Human Interest story about Australia the other day. A bloke is setting up fan tents for the poor/elderly (I guess it's HOT there recently). The cute part was one bloke, didn't complain about the heat for himself, but went down to sit with his elderly, shaggy dog.
G’day John & Pat. How lovely you got the boat that you were looking for, fantastic 👍🏼. It must be pretty good to have sailed all that way back home to have many more adventures. Good to see you getting a bit of rain. We haven’t had any real good rain since September 23! All’s we have down here is just dust, at the moment. Thanks for sharing your lovely trip back home
Thanks Wayneberry. Sorry to hear you have not had rain I know what its like. I spend that much time when its dry walking around looking for clouds and not watching where I am going that I am a danger to myself. The boat trip was an adventure and it revived a lot of memories of sailing that bit of the coast. John
Hey John and Pat, great news on the boat. Can i ask what weather sauce you use instead of the "Bom"? Hope you have some dry days to get the chores done.

Thanks Gary Hope you are well. John
Glad all is well looking forward to some fishing.
We are too. John
So good to see you and Pat. I was worried about you both. ❤
Thanks for your concern. I started to make a video a couple of times and it rained both times and I got a bit disheartened. John
We've sold our yacht 3 years ago after buying a farm. There just wasn't enough time for both 😊
We found that after we started farming full time. We are getting ready to semi retire and hope to have more time for the boat. John

Yeah, I guess if they keep predicting the same thing they will get it right eventually. Like a roulette wheel, betting on black 21.

Wondered about ya'll,looks like a nice trip. I would enjoy that boating as long as I can see the shore, I could swim if needed.
Doesn't matter much to us if its more than a hundred yards, thats about how far we could both swim nowadays. John
you could do a walk through on the boat that would be a good vidio and im sure a lot of people would be interested

You will have some happy cows with all that grass
Happy wet cows at least they have a bellyful. John
Good to see you both again. Take care. Enjoy the rain.
Dave
We have and we will, don't have much choice Ha Ha. John
Could make a video of cutting the grass and then another one of the grass growing back .
That sounds like a winner. John
The area has similar looks to our coast tourist sites like diani in kenya except the sand is not white
Ok thats interesting. John
Looking forward to seeing some fishing trips 👍👍
Me to. We ran out of fish last week before we went away. We had a couple of feeds of fish on the trip back. John
