Carlos flipping off the Canterbury crowd only showed half of it..the Blues had scored a length of the field try to steal the game and he had actually crossed the try line near the posts and deliberately run out to the corner to make the conversion harder and still nailed it. Next level trolling from KC.
True story. It was a great team try under pressure to turn over the ball and score to win away from home in what was the greatest inter provincial tournament ever witnessed.
The conversion also denied them a bonus point.
I don't know how things are in other countries, but in France, taunting is frowned upon. When Delon Armitage did it to Brock James (who is a much-loved player in France), he was whistled at in every Top14 stadium for at least 2 seasons, and the taunt of Gio Aplon who flattened just in front of him was due to the famous taunt against Clermont 2 or 3 years before 😂.
A lot of this I am fine with (even if Maro v Glasgow made me sad), but the two towards the end of Roos and JP Peterson pushing players heads into the ground are a bit too malicious for my liking.
As a South African, it made me cringe mate! Just stupid and embarrassing! The odd shit-housery from players can actually be entertaining, but there has to be a line.
Yeah and Mapimpi pushing Koribetes head in the ground is not appropriate
It's entertaining and adds character to the game as long as they dont push it too far
If there’s a part two we need Gary Halpin sticking both the middles up at the all blacks after scoring in 1995
You need Clavin Nash responding to the Manie Libbok taunt in the same game
A possible idea for part two, if there is one: Dane Coles openly laughs to Michael Hooper’s face after a tiny scrap between the two and Julian Savea’s try during the 3rd Bledisloe Cup game of 2016 at Eden Park. Brodie Retallick also joins in.
Incroyable ce qu’a fait Savea 😂
Sam underhills tackle got to be one of the best try saving tackle I’ve seen
Nothing wrong with a bit of psychological warfare in my eyes
Mixed bag, some of its funny, like the Wellington players grabbing Barrett into the celebration as he was a former teammate. Some of its dumb, George North, Zebo etc....but gesturing you're going to cut someone's head off seems a bit over the line. Ardie Savea is a brilliant player but let himself down by doing that....even admitted so himself.
Loved the way Barret handled it..class..
@@sakabula2357 Both Barrett and Cruden just resigned themselves to the fact it was happening 😂
I love it, makes the game more entertaining. Especially as a player
Really don' think Bundee Aki is taunting anyone. If you watched that QF vs Ulster, when the player profile pictures came up on TV before kick off, at the run through of the teams, Bundee was making that (sleeping) gesture in his picture. It's way more likely it's a private thing and he was doing it for someone he knew in the crowd (after waving to them).
Referees and the gov body trying to rid us of sledging and taunting. We still need this character in our game.
Either it’s a game that allows sledging and taunting or it’s a “gentleman’s game” you can’t have both.
Surprised the taunting by Sexton on O'Gara is not here.
czcams.com/video/3Mk3pVyFWrg/video.html
Or the taunting by Simon Hunter and Alex Woodhouse after they held Will Carling up over the try-line
czcams.com/video/03gpzFZadcQ/video.html
Or Owen Farrell's grin to the All Black Haka in the Rugby World Cup semi-final 2019.
Ah well maybe part 2 if it is to be
O Gara seems to have got his own back recently
@@thecuttingsark5094 yep. I would agree with that.
0:22 That wasn't taunting. Zebo originally intended to go where he was pointing, but then realised if he ran a different line he'd go straight towards those women.
4 more years boys remark by George Gregan and Owen Farrell's smirk against all blacks in my opinion were the best taunt
yet poor old owen never felt the cup in his hand so taunting is only great if followed by actions - all mouth and no action is OF
ETHAN DE GROOT🔥
"Rugby values" - the biggest myth in modern sport 😂
How does a number 8 let a winger do that to him😂😂😂
Stuart Hogg shhh🤫 celebration Vs Ulster and Ian Henderson taunting David Pocock after an Ireland try in 2016 for part 2.
Gotta love stormers losing the urc after taunting munster
🇿🇦 I approve
0:01 that was against young fans in front of the stand and that wasn’t the whole scene. Totally uncalled for.
i think he was directing it at elder gents, and if not well then it was way past them weens‘ bedtime😂😂🥱
I love a bit of sledging, but Itoje's gloating against Glasgow was classless. Exactly what you'd expect from Saracens.
Naaah all of these are fine. Just adrenaline and heat of the moment stuff. The Samoan player at 4:24 with 2 thumbs up was excellent!!
If not for the classic George Gregan one, that would be my favourite!
Banter is one thing. Taunting is another. Here’s the test, since these are supposed to be professionals. If you can banter with your boss and colleagues at work tomorrow, and not be fired or punched in the mouth, it’s likely ok. If your taunting and mouthing off gets you a trip to the dentist or a visit from HR, it’s likely not ok. Grown ups should know the limits. Creative and humorous? Go for it. Nasty and abusive? Shut up.
I would rather see Manie Libbok kick that ball out in the last minute than taunt a Munster player in the first.
I don't like players teasing other players, but it's not quite as bad as teams celebrating referees calls in their favor, even winning a scrum nowadays gets some ridiculously loud cheers.
What is the name of the bald guy on the firsts seconds. Yellow jersey btw
George Gregan
My take is taunting as long as it’s not taken too far is part of the game and is part of the fun. Only children cry and complain about a little bit of taunting. You’re playing mind games with the opponent.
if people ain't okay with taunting then you shall be ashamed to each brawl happening
Honestly, if a player pushed my face into the ground after tackling me, I would boot them in the face
Bro do ethan de groot
Nothing wrong with a bit of sledging/banter but when it starts getting towards soccer carry on - jumping in lad's faces and all this - it needs to be nipped in the bud
As an immigrant to America: ban this shit mercilessly lest it takes root.
Hope it goes well with your root taking😂... where did you run away from..

@@jacqloock don't blame you..I would if I could
Whats exactly wrong with the last one. Why would the referee be warning the captain ? Makes no sense
I think it is that Saracens tend to 'over congratulate' for things like winning a penalty in an attempt to get under the skin of the opposition. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but they've been doing it for years.
The ref seems to emphasize "the player is on the ground." I'd hope he's being strict on it for player safety. Such as not toppling over on the play on the ground whilst celebrating. Asides from that I see nothing wrong with the clip. The didn't seem to taunt the player on the ground or anyone else on the opposing team whilst being awarded the penalty.
Sledging is a rugby value. Celebrating being awarded a free kick scrum like you’ve just won the World Cup is not.
Celebrating pens and even knock-ons is happening more at the amateur level, too, and it causes me unhealthy amounts of rage. Won't let my team do it.
What’s sledging?
I remember when a ref would March you another 10 or reverse a decision for back chat.
@@thecuttingsark5094 Just talking to the opposition, getting in their head, not to the ref
0:55 a lot of complaining from the Irish losing side
Ulster can give it but they can't take it
The Guy who did it is Irish , Irish on Irish
@@fearmorpiercemacmaghnais7186 Yep, Darren Cave did not take well to Simon Zebo‘s taunts
Rugby soccerisation?
Most of this is not extreme. And why do some of these players behave like this? Karma from previous moments in the match?
01:35 - I honestly thought that was women's rugby until after the try and the french chick had a beard... oops!
We don't care about Rugby values
Ardie can't gesture a throat slitting but the entire All Black team can do it during the haka?
No they can't....
They can't that's why they changed the gesture in the haka about 16-17 years ago
@@jonnybaynham1689 that was never the gesture in the first place - the gesture was from the diaphragm upwards not throat - ma'a nonu made that throat gesture famous and everyone thought that was the action which it wasnt - people moan about things they know nothing about
Size is Lomuesque? @2.:37 mate get real! Lomu is lomu no comparison
