Best straps nowadays are the automatic rewind straps! Now THAT’s a game changer, never a tangled mess in the boot… buy once, cry once but gives me a smile every time I use them.

My order just arrived. Do you have go to ratchet strap brands (in store and Amazon) for securing loads (lumber, furniture) for transport? I ask about in-store too because sometimes you need straps sooner than Amazon can deliver.
I could not find a strap at Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, or any other store where I shopped. I was very pleased when the straps I ordered showed up and fit the bill. I have a pile of straps that I have purchased and tested, which I will drop off at Goodwill. I would order the right strap and just use a rope until they show up in 2 days.

Sometimes on less than level ground the wheels need a little lift to make it over stuff. This way it is all nailed together. Though I have to say that the workbench wheels are a pain, because they do all kinds of bad things when one tries to lift them. I need something that holds them in place.
The benches work fine without straps. I was surprised how stable the horses are, and how well they stick in place with just the projecting hinges.
@@TheSmartWoodshop I appreciate the humor but really, why did you find the need for the straps?
He made a video a while back. If I remember correctly, if you have a table saw on one side of the bench and nothing on the other, it isn't well balanced and you run the risk of the torsion box and saw horses lifting out of the smart kart. The straps keep that from happening. I wonder if he might find a solution with the new smart kart he is designing.
