  • A video of the model of AMT's 1967 Chevelle Pro Street. The model was not too bad to put together. Parts fit really well. Just messing around with different types of filming these days. Hope you enjoy!
    There are definitely more detailed videos out there, you should check out Model Car Video CZcams channel to see more in depth builds.

    I'm new to the CZcams modeling world and I have to say you have the best music, with that being said I have to say I like the way you paint everything on the tree. I am 61 and I have a hard time trying to use spray can paint with my arthritis, so the next model I build will be painting everything on the tree, thanks for the insight.

    Dang! It's been a long time since I've seen any model builder use a brush for painting. You are really, really good at it! Your spray is flawless as well. Beautiful build.👍

    Love that built and the kit too...but then to me it was it was something about the fit position of those two front lower control arms was not looking positioned correctly.........🤔

      Now that you mention it, I do recall having a hard time with the front end. I had to redo it a couple times to get it to work. I've always struggled with front ends in general. I definitely have an opportunity to get better at it! Thanks for watching!

    Nice car. Hey question for you. Did your tires press in ok?
    Mine when it came to the rims the rubber was too big for the rims. I had to glue the back wheels to the rims on and the fronts I had some spare fronts from a previous Camero.

    • @WhiteBeardAnt
      @WhiteBeardAnt  Před 3 lety

      Interestingly, I just looked on the model and I had the opposite issue. The front rims are slightly wider than the rubber tires. I remember that being a little weird. Thanks for watching!

    Love this kit im working on it now but having trouble on where to put the starter please help me out man 🥲

    • @WhiteBeardAnt
      @WhiteBeardAnt  Před 3 lety +2

      Hey, sorry to hear about the trouble. If I recall correctly, that engine has some different engine build options. When I first built it, the air cleaner setup was way too high and the hood wouldn't close. It took a couple configurations before it was right. Don't sweat the starter. In the actual car, the starter is down by the manifold on the left side. You wouldn't even see it on most builds. I'm never one to worry too much about it being perfectly exact. I'm just building to have fun and RELIEVE stress, it's your car, stick it anywhere! Make it custom! Hope it all works out for you. Thanks for watching!

  • @eck5855
    @eck5855 Před 2 lety

    How did you get the hood to close with out cutting the hood

    • @WhiteBeardAnt
      @WhiteBeardAnt  Před 2 lety

      The hood was not a great fit for me. The top of the engine kind of sticks up just enough that it doesn't lay perfectly flush with the body. It rests more on the air cleaner. I guess if I wanted to make it perfect I could sand under the hood to make it align properly. I usually call it good enough and don't get to caught up in it being perfect. Thanks for watching!

    How did u get the motor in I cant seem to get it in

    • @WhiteBeardAnt
      @WhiteBeardAnt  Před 2 lety

      It was a bit of a struggle, but once the exhaust pipes are on, the pipes slide under the body. The bottom of the engine sits in the frame. Just take your time and you'll see how it fits. Once you have it, then glue. Good luck!

    I see that you did not add or start painting anything with primer grey primer is always the best paint all your parts including the body especially the body if you are painting your body with lacquer you must have a protection always paint your body with a primer gray primer white primer or even black because if you use lacquer paint with no primer later on it's going to eat the plastic to paint will start scarring or eating the plastic because there was no protection if you were using enamel enamel takes a long time to dry unless you live in a hot dry climate getting back to primer paint primer helps you find imperfections on the body or even other part of a model if there are any imperfections on the body the primer will show you little dimples that you never saw before then you must use putty and let it dry and sand it until it is nice and smooth and then primer again priming your body is the best way for the best paint jobs ever I love the color of the paint used on the body looks really nice the rest is awesome also but I'm just letting you know what could happen if you don't use primer and use a lot of lacquer paint and spray lacquer or even enamel spray cans are easier than hand painting things because they dry faster specially flat colors

    • @WhiteBeardAnt
      @WhiteBeardAnt  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the heads up! I have been using some paints from HD that have the primer in the paint, but I've never tried it on all the parts prior. I'll have to give it a go next time. Any type of primer you recommend or is any grey primer ok? Thanks for watching!
