What a fun trip down memory lane building a kit I did in my childhood days! 🙂
Great video, Tim. Yeah, this is just a flat out fun kit. That you so much for your shout out.
Thanks again!
A trip down memory lane for sure. I remember building the black one when kid, but not the red one. I have a black original in my stash now. Thanks for sharing this buddy. Have a great weekend buddy. Senior
Oh yea that one brings back great memories Terry!
All issues are great classics with awesome memories attached!! Great looking build my friend!!
You got that right Mark!
Nothing like building a kit we remember as a kid, turned out really nice Tim, 👍👍😎
So true Tom!
Fun!!! Takes me back. Those were such popular kits when I was a kid. Everyone built it that I knew. Excellent...
So true Terry!
Man that is so cool!!! I built the black one with flames back when I was a kid, I painted the seats in mine red. I like the flames in your kit better, decal options certainly have come a long way My car also had the same license plate "427 RAT"!!! Model Cars and Hot Rods Forever!!! Thanks for the memories!!!
Cool, I almost went with red interior and I agree, the decals have come along ways.
Nice build of a cool old school kit. I like how you built yours up. I like the snorkel scoop that you used. Very neat idea of opening up those inner fender wells. It gives a great view of the engine. Have a nice W/E.
Thanks Rick, you too!
Neat how they molded the headers in single pieces. Great looking model.
I agree, that made it much easier to work with.
Nice trip down memory lane for you Tim. Great work my friend. Lovely to see
Many thanks Steve!
Great job Tim! Looks like a fun build; and that’s the important part. Glad I’m not the only one who uses my back yard as a spray booth. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Richard, gotta love the back yard for spray painting!
Sweet! I have the black one that I've been contemplating doing. I'm a Chevelle fanatic
Cool!!!!!!!
Great trip down memory lane. Great model. I still have the original black one I built. But it is in rough shape. Time for another one. Thanks Tim 👋 🐭
Yep, time for another one. 🙂👍
Thanks Tim, you always put out great videos. Sometimes old school is more fun.
Thanks Gene. 👍
This looks like a very cool kit...I like the customization choices Revell gives to you for this model 😁👍
I agree Toni. 😉👍
I like the tall scoop and flames!! Great car and also built the black and red model. Great kit!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you, yes they are great kits!!
That’s a cool kit, I built one with my son when he was about 8 years old, still on the shelf. Nice work on the old Chevelle, the flames look great!
Very cool Jeff!
Great build Tim. I too remember both the red and black versions of this kit from my childhood. I have manage to get this reissue kit and plan on doing it very similar to the way you have done yours. Thank you for building such an AWESOME channel. Take care my friend and happy modeling. Don😎
Cool, thank you Don! 🙂
Very cool Tim, I remember building the black version a couple of times in my youth and always with the flames, you can't beat old school flames on a black paint job. Cheers
Oh yea, love the flames!! 🔥
It's a Great kit!!! I think we've all built one version or another of this kit. You did a Great job of it Tim!!! Thanks for sharing
I think we all have too Mike, so glad you liked my build!!!
The Black kit was my first build that I actually took my time and payed attention to my detail work.. That was in 1976 , and I built the Red kit in the mid 90's .. This is just a really cool , fun old school kit .. And I think I'm going to have to pick one up, next time I'm at the Shop.. Great job on your build.. Very nice job.👍
Very cool Charles!!!! Man, where does the time go??? 🙂 Definitely get one and have fun with it!!!!!! 👍
That's definitely a memorable kit from the good old days.. Only thing I ever had against it was the fit of the clip when closed, kinda like the fit of the fenders of the OLD PRO NOVAS.. And I like the tires also for multiple builds.. You did a great job with this build Tim 😎👍
Yea your right about the front end Jimmy. And speaking of the Old Pro Nova, that is on the model bench now. 👍🙂
@@THROTTLEPOWER 🙏 May the force be with you brother 😎👍
@@ledheadkustomplastic3442 👍🙂😊😉
revell streaker vett hell yea its your build do it however ya want thanks 😅
Great job with the Chevelle and a impressive result, Tim. It comes out very well with this beautiful paintwork.
The engine is great detailed and a eyecatcher for himself. Cool model. Best wishes and anice weekend, Tim.
Joachim
Thank you Joachim and you too.
A nice kit and a great build Tim! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you George, you too!
Really cool! Looks ready to cruise or lay rubber on the Blvd. 😆
I remember having the black kit as a kid and it was one of my favorites. I had the flames, but the stripes are not bad. Memories! 😎👍🏾
Thank you...... 🙂
Came out looking great. I remember building a couple those as a kid.👍👍
Thank you, so glad you liked it!! 👍
That turned out really nice. Awesome work as always. Love the flames and the paint. Have a great one
Thanks Roy, you too!
Nice build. I like the flames. Very nostalgic. Great tip about the license plate decal. ~ Thomas
Thanks Thomas!
Great job on the build Tim. It's a kick-butt looking kit, one of my favorites.🤠👍
Right on! 🙂
Nice tip on the license plates. I put the decal on aluminum from a soda can. It also has good scale thickness.
That's a great way too Robert!
Nice, i was just looking at the red malibu that i did when i was younger. I wanted to build this one again. Now i can, after i find one. Thanks
Very cool Kevin!!!
The black one is on my table now. I also have the red one in my stash. I love the wheels in both kits.
Very cool Calvin!
Really cool-looking kit Tim really like how you built it flames look sweet and really old school 👍👍
Thank you Seamy, one of these days I need to try and light one up! 🙂👍
Great looking build. I've got several of the black issue one. Allways wanted to get ahold of the red but never could. I'll be picking up this one. Thanks for the memories.
Very cool Rob, so glad you enjoyed!!
Very nice work building the kit. I have the black one that I bought many years ago. I need to build it soon. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael, hopefully I inspired you to build it. 🙂
Have to say does look better with the front section out make it easy to see the motor with the hood flipped up came out good have to love the flames
Cool, thank you Deen!!
Another great old/ new kit, thanks for the build, J
It really is a great old kit!!!! 🙂👍
I still have an unbuilt black version and a built black version by my buddy Paul who passed in 2015 one of the few models he had that survived thou poorly built can't bring myself to redo it. But I'll build the black version as a tribute to him...and I have the newest version I'd like to build in my own way... It's funny how a plastic model car that I've built a few times can have such an emotional tie in your life. Tim yours came out beautiful!.. Now I got to get two more to hide away in the stash 😂😁👍
You are so right John! 🙂
It is just one of those classics
Oh yea!!
Great build , flames are awesome. Have a great weekend .
Thank you Eric and you too!!
I really dig the flames and the "mail box" hood scoop. I REALLY REALLY wish this kit came with the supercharger from the red "street rat" car.
I agree!!
Love these cars! Built both the red and black one in the last year.
Oh yea!!!!!
I remember building the red one in like 1990, it was the kit that got me wanting to start building models for competition.
Your build turned out great, Tim. I really love the metallic black with those flames and just the right amount of shine to it. Great job, and glad you used the mail box scoop over the other.
Think I'm going have to order a couple since the hobby lobby here in Bowling Green kinda sucks at getting new releases in.
You will really enjoy it especially since you built the red one.
From France 🇫🇷, Belle vidéo 👌 😉. Belle voiture. Superbe maquette 🇺🇸 👌 👍
Thank you so much Alain 🙂👍
@@THROTTLEPOWER 👍 😉 🇺🇸 🇫🇷
Reminds me some of the Aussie cars they paint here in Aussie land....... Looks awesome bro
Aaaa very cool Frank.
Great build. This is on my build list.
Cool, it's a fun one!
Absolutely beautiful build Tim 😍
Thanks so much Shawn!
That is looking awesome Tim. I love the flames on it. Ron
Thanks Ron!
Great build! I build the black version as a kid, and certainly have this kit on my list to get. Thanks for the tip on cutting out the section on the front structure. Much more dramatic look with the hood open that way. Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to watching more. Thank you.
Cool and thank you for the kind words Tim!!!!!
Nice 66 Tim, I like that you went rattlecan on this one. I built the red version with the 5 slotted wheels years ago. No longer have that kit anymore.😔
Thank you David, gotta love the rattle cans! 🙂
The flames look very nice.
Thank you!
Man Tim, Whatta' Beautiful Build! Now I'm Gonna' Have to Get One! 😆 I am a Very Big Fan of Flames, but not like Some Kits that have Big Blocky Fake lookin' flames. I like the Realistic Look, like This Kit has. Thanks For Sharing! 🤓👍
You and me both, love the flames! 🔥👍🙂
That turned out real nice. Hope it comes out that nice when I build it.
It's in the stash, I hope I don't let it build dust. 😁
Are you going with the flames or stripes?
What a trip. Like everyone else said, I must have built this 10 times as a kid. Thanks for sharing this one with us. PS just subbed to you channel.
Very cool John!
Cool bro 😎 I'm down with the flames 🔥 too.
Thank you! 👍🔥🙂
Good idea about the decals.👍
Cool, thank you Jimmy 👍 🙂
The flames are alot better than the original release ..wish they wouldve included the slot mags from the red version..love those wheels
I agree Chris!
Very cool Tim!!!
Thank you Jason!
67 Pro St., Chevelle by AMT has some of the best tires out of any kits I’ve seen..
I agree!!!!!
Cool old school build man
Thank you Marcos!
Outstandin Tim 🤠 Killer slumpbuster 👍
Thank you Kevin, and yes, it really was!!!!! 🙂

Tim I like all of the decals myself. I could see the black one with the flames. A blue one with the yellow and I think it was the red stripes. And a silver or gray car with the blue stripes. Just my two cents. Lmbo. Keep up the great work man!!!
Yes, I agree Bruce, that would be cool!
awesome looking build i do like the flames also
Right on Eddie!
Really cool kit..thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it!!
Just looks fast!!! Love it!!
Thanks Chris!
Nicely done, Tim. Can't go wrong with Black on a Hot car. But I am not a flames kinda guy or those multi stripes' Just a great straight up colour or 2 tone for me. Cheer's JV
Thanks Johnny!
I recently purchased this same model kit from eBay it was already assembled and it's missing parts and it's in need to be rebuilt and brought back to the lime light. I'll probably put about forty to fifty hours into completely making it hyper realistic and I put a lot of thought into each rebuild. The 1970 Camaro motion Baldwin kit that was purple when I got it from a seller from eBay but it's almost complete and she's pretty amazing how she looked when I got her but that's what I like to do with my models.
Oh wow, very very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the red version with the aluminum slotted rims I wish they would have reproduce the rims one of the best rims monogram made
Yes, those are cool wheels Al.
Outstanding Tim!
Thank you!!
Look great Tim!!!
Thanks Skip! 👍
Love to see it, Really want to build one of these.
It's a fun build!
I remember building the black kit as a kid. I think if I was to build it again it will be the black kit..
Yep, the only way to go Alan.
Looks like a nice kit...
It really is Butch.
Hi Tim 😀👍I made your 100th thumbs up.👍😎. That's a good looking kit,neat fittings👍😎. Your radiating enthusiasm for it and it's options👍😀😎great flames🔥🔥👍
Thank you so very much Pete.... 🙂🔥👍🔥😉🔥😊
@@THROTTLEPOWER seriously cool👍😎mate👍👍

Very cool build
Thank you Douglas!
I prefer the flames and scoop from the black issue version. I also have the Revell white issue 2-n-1, and where Luca Cee did some modifications to the kit front end, I'm actually planning on scratch building a tubular front end for the car.
Oh wow, a scratch built tubular front end will be cool Edward!!!!!!!!!!
My HL Didn't Have Them BUT I Did Pickup The AMT 67 Z/28 But I'm Building Mine as a Replica Of My 1:1 Basic 67 w 327 2bl. Powerglide, Crager SS T's. Nothing Too Fancy, But I L❤️ VED THAT CAR. I Like Your Chevelle Too. Thanks For Sharing n Have a Blessed Wknd Ahead 👍👍 Gary.
Right on Gary, what ever happened to your 67 Camaro?

My hood fenders are totally messed up bad. Other than that… love the headers… honestly about a 5.5… that 442 kit one of my favorites this year…
Yes, those headers are nice and the 442 kit is one of my favorites too Jimmy!
B to the B Buddy!!
Thank you Jared!
Great video.
Thanks!
Cool 😎 👍
Thank you!
Hello Tim, Awesome channel that you have and awesome builds! Subbed. Now to start binge-watching your past videos. Ed.
Awesome, hope you enjoy Ed!
Wish it came with the slotted rims that the original red one had
Yes, that would be cool!
It would have been nice if they gave us the option of the wheels from the red car also.
I agree John!
I'm doing the latest one rite now it's on bench one ur opening I got 2 i end up opening other box for the body to paint to match my side project the 72 chevy wedge truck putting another malibu on back of it color matching then both i done them copper color truck and body on malibu other one just the body rest is left on spru for when i decide to build the rest of it ill be able to use stripes for wedge and the car on back or i could use flames depends u get my plan matching towrig to the race car
Now that is going to be a GREAT combo put together Keith. Can't wait to see it all finished up.
I think everyone built the original black / flame kit back in the day.
Yes, I think so too!
Looks good! Thanks for sharing. Was that two rear ends in the kit too?
Cool, yes it was!
I have the original black kit and I have the red one got the white one coming
Cool!!!
@@THROTTLEPOWER I really enjoy watching your videos Tim can't wait to meet you one day
@@Stupidfastracing Sounds good!!!!! 🙂
I had both red and black never seen this one .
This one would look good in pearl white with the blue decals on side but I do like the way yours turned out.
Pearl white would be really cool Larry!
