    We used to stock the self spreading split pins. You know the ones with the long tang bent over the short tang so all you had to do was drive the loop in farther causing the short tang to push under the long one spreading the tang end so it could not come back out. Explained that to customers and they usually bought several more because of the ease of installing.

      Im not sure I have seen them, off to google for me, lol.

      They have a funny looking hump loop and when you tap the loop it drives the short side under the long side that is bent over the short pushing the pin apart and stopping it from coming back out the hole. Much easier than having to try to spread a pin in a hard spot. You do have to size the pin for the hole.

    Well done Lance! I learnt something watching that, you have to hand it to the blokes that thought it all up John

    I am rebuilding three 35X's at the same time. In each case the whole draft control mechanism is rusted solid. Each one is getting a 6 mm. grease nipple discreetly on the underside and and the whole space will be filled completely with grease. This will stop rusting and, more importantly, stop water ingress into the hydraulics.. Fraser Brown.

    Thanks very much for this video. I will, this weekend service my 135 for surely it has draft level keeping problems. Everything else in the hydraulics is new; only this draft sensor is unserviced.

    Good video, but the new bottom yoke with the linkage pin, is upside down to take the top link when attaching any implement. Just saying.

    What position is the draft control lever normally at if you not ploughing or using it.

  • @prime553

    When setting this up where should the draft and control levers be on the quadrant?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před rokem +1

      You need to look at the manual as there is different positions for each adjustment.

    Hi Lance.... so to change the rubber boot I have to fully disassemble the spring unit......?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 5 lety +2

      Yes but you can do it without lifting the top off if the big nut is not rusted up and stuck.

    Sir I am from Mansfield Ohio and owned a MF 1080 Understanding the 3 point lift on this tractor was difficult for me. for its time this lift in my opinion very advanced.
    I hope that at some point you will explain inner quadrant, outer quadrant, and .draft control vs position control. How do settings vary from plowing vs using a disc vs digging post holes

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 5 lety

      I will cover that when I get to the hydraulics on the 35. I had to read up on that myself to understand it.

    Why are there two different gold colors on the tractor? One looks more like copper.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 6 lety

      G Day Stephen, It is all the same gold out of the same can but some is shaded and some in the direct light from the High Bay 400w bulbs. The metalic flake changer it a lot in different lights.

    • @sharkrivermachine
      @sharkrivermachine Před 6 lety +1

      I noticed near the end of the video some ares went into that shade and it changed the color completely. Thanks for answering.

      Color flip. 6:00 is a good example of how different paint can look under different light sources. His torch makes the paint appear copper. Gives painters fits when trying to color match. Camera is not always going to reproduce what the eye sees in person either.
