I train either BJJ, wrestling, or Muay thai every single day (out due to injury and trying to keep fit) and I barely made it through this workout. This is definitely a good intensity.

This is the best HIIT workout that exists on the internet, hands down. It never fails to get my out of breath and get my heart pumping. Plus, the trainers are so motivating. I will always come back to it.
Why dont they just run a mile? Isnt it simpler?
@@anujpatil5665running a mile is very different from this workout. With Grit, you’re using A LOT of muscles, basically all groups. With running, you’re doing one movement over and over again. It’s somewhat paradoxical, but I can’t run due to back issues, but Grit is totally fine and I’m actually enjoying it and getting unbelievable results.
@@anujpatil5665 running is easier than this. This is a lot of pain and burn in leg and shoulder muscles. You can barely do 40 minutes

You'd be surprised how many people probably got up and did this workout because she was in the video. It does set a good example. It also shows that everyone is different. If you need to take your time then do it. It's not half assing.

Since this workout was posted in 2018 I've been doing it as my go-to HIIT. Five years later and I still find it hard though I have improved a lot!
I think that this exercise is one of the strongest and best exercises ever. It is useful for strength, breathing, and heart muscles. It removes toxins from your body, makes you positive, and corrects the psychological state, making you happy.

WOW. Although I had to pause a few times (what human wouldn't), I made it through the entire workout. In the last minute, overwhelming emotions came over me and I wept. I felt such immense pride for pushing myself to such a place, when I often criticize myself too much. I'm a pretty fit guy, but this is possibly the hardiest cardio workout I've ever done. Thank you to the entire team for doing this. It made much more than just a physical impact.

I am 53 and loved doing the grit workouts before covid lockdowns. They changed them a little when we returned back to the gym for Hiit and metafit classes, but grit truly does push the boundaries of your fitness and as you can all see, the fact the trainers took a moment during sets proves how tough it really is.
For those who want to know how this workout work on your body: I did this cardio 3 times in a week, eat well and drink a lot of tea and water. After a week I've already see changes: abs showing and, as I'm preparing for a marathon, I could run longer. This workout is awesome if you know how to do it well.
Did you also go to the gym and do weightlifting and other exercises for your body parts and muscles?

After a week is not scientifically realistic! So yes you’re putting in the work but in your head your seeing changes. In maybe 4-6 weeks you’ll see results that WILL stay with this video done three times a week and of course your healthy diet and water intake!

Maya Tanner the trainers of my gym are also from Les mills and I once went to Grit it's a Hiit workout just worse with weights and a stepper and I can tell you he was all ease and we all dieing 😂😂 so don't think they take pauses.

my first time doing this workout and that's insane! definitely loved it! for me the hardest parts are the track 1 (yes the warm up, I didn''t expect a warm up can be that hard),5 and 7

I rarely ever comment on social media, but i think this video is worth lauding.
Admittedly this was one heck of a work out, yet I completed every second of it, cherished even. The sincerity of the workout, seeing the candid version of these athlete was even more encouraging as it smashed my inner perfectionist dogma.
After a long time I felt powerful in my body.
Tips: when you feel like dying in the middle of the track, just scream, breath for awhile and keep going!! Increase your endurance level!!

Nah this is way worse, I ve seen nerdy and skiny teens survive Military drills but the fit men in this exercise tire way too easily. The resting period in this exercise is too short thats why its a torture and way above the mma training routine in our gym
I tried a lott of workouts but THIS one tops everything from their energy to their vibe and the coaches and i guess seeing them all as breathless as makes me feel like i’m not alone in this haha

I am a Les Mills Grit instructor, we all hit failure.. that is the beauty of Grit in finding your max... so when you hit failure you then go harder the next time.

I absolutely love this workout ❤ Les Mills Grit brings on the athleticism every time! Challenging body weight workout that I keep coming back to, torch and shred! 😊 I gotta learn my lesson though, every time I do this workout (including today) I’m reminded why it would have been wise to take pre-workout.

Guys this is very effective workout. I lost weight after doing this 3 times a week. Gave up and switched to other HIIT, but always returned to this video. 2 years have passed, but still this is my favorite workout (did it 50 times at least) I highly recommend it, very challenging for your heart and willpower.

@@mikka272 If you exercise and eat clean healthy foods to get to a 500 cal deficit daily, you can expect to lose 1 lb weekly. Generally anywhere between 0.5 to 2 lbs is a realistic and sustainable goal, although it depends in your starting point: base fitness, current body fat, current diet, age, male or female, etc
