By far the best team of the modern era. Messi at his fastest and deadliest, the best midfield combination of their generation, could keep the ball better than any team, a defence that gave nothing away. Completely in sync with one another with a vicious and collective pressing style as soon as they lost the ball and kept it till it made you vomit.

I started watching football during that 2010-11 season. That Barcelona team will always be my favourite team.
This team was the greatest to ever play. They completely changed european football. Winning all trophies in a season, absolutely dismantling Madrid throughout those years and on top of that beating Sir Alexs United twice in a UCL Final.

This Barcelona team were essentially the 2010 World Cup champions. The same players that operated that legendary Spanish team translated the same style of dominance and it won’t ever be replicated again. That explains the magical 2011. Pure bliss watching this squad.

No I don't agree. The best club side ever is the 2008-2009 Barcelona team. That team was very very very good and that's why that team won the treble. Even if you compare the two UCL finals you'll see that the 2008-2009 final was a tougher test for Barcelona because that Man Utd team had CR7, Rooney, Tevez & Berbatov and yet the manner in which Barcelona emphatically overpowered that really powerful Man Utd team was an outstanding achievement. Another reason why I rate the 2008-2009 Barcelona team above the 2010-2011 team is that in 2010-2011 UCL final, Barcelona faced a Man Utd team that was already scared of Barcelona even before the match kicked off whereas in 2008-2009 UCL final Barcelona was up against a Man Utd team that had incredibly powerful talent up front with confidence reaching the sky. And to drag that powerful Man UTD team down and knock them on to the ground required unbelievable power which that 2008-2009 team obviously had. Just look at the team they had- Xavi & Inietsa in their prime years, Messi at his magical best, Henry & Eto both deadly finishers. Oh how I wish as a Barcelona fan that we could get back this team!!!!

Watching them play Madrid like playing against an amateur team and beating them 5 nill and tearing a very good Man United team apart says it all. Am a United Fan but that's the best team ever.
