Miles morales had a more focus story line with one focused villain, I hated how mr negative was tossed aside when Otto showed up
@@gogetathestrongestfusion cuz he was in jail after his bossfight, imo i think 2018's story is amazing, well paced, good plot, good characters and foreshadowing, i felt like sm2 was a bit rushed since venom appeared unlike when otto appeared, i loved both games either way

At least your able to break down the problems of sweet baby without jumping to the woke scapegoat (it’s still a problem but there are definitely other things that drag it down) I also noticed when it comes to sweet baby writing there’s nothing daring tempting or anything there that makes it memorable

1:35 I like that he simplifies GOW (2018), but goes into great detail in GOWR (2022), if I were to try and simplify GOWR like you did GOW (2018) I would say something like "Father & Son come into conflict in there different approaches to dealing with Ragnarök". To be fair though, there are defiantly moments in GOWR that feel rushed and/or not enough time to explore their characters ( Lady Sif and the friend in New Midgard can't remember his name). But with the North sage of games only being to games long there has to be cuts some where I guess. This was just MY opinion though.
Edit: although maybe I'm looking to much into this since this is a Spider-Man video and not a GOW one.
see i get that but again the point was the basic plot of 2018 can be summarized with a single sentance while with ragnorok theres so many more plot threads and other things happening all at once and the tonal whiplash between the two games from their scale alone and things happening in each game is night and day.

Shame Tears didn't win but Baldurs Gate seems good.
Web of shadows had the better venom symbiote invasion plot than this rushed mess and the suit was more fun to play with. Ultimate spiderman had better venom gameplay as well.

I love the story and i love the game the only thing the games makes bad are the bugs and lgbt stuff (it only destroys my childhood) and why they made every character more ugly ? Peter and mj in the ps4 version were pretty

Odin didn’t want Kratos to join him conquering the 9 realms. He just wanted to make a deal of non hostility with Kratos. He would leave Kratos alone and Kratos would leave him alone. Also Brok is a dwarf, not a troll. There’s a huge difference (No pun intended).

I loved God Of War Ragnarok, and I'll admit I think it tries to to just a little bit too much (the third act shows the game breaking under its own pressure a bit) but I'd rather 1 Ragnarok instead of a 2 parter. I'm clocking into the hater building by saying Halo 3 should have been a part of Halo 2. Splitting a big game in half has not worked out in the past. God Of War 3 is not as good as 2. And yeah I think there is enough to stretch out over 3 games, I actually found Ragnarok respected my time to not drag it out and leave a massive cliffhanger. The ending of Ragnarok would have felt way more underwhelming if it was the end of a trilogy. I kind of appreciate it's a nuts to butts sequel and peaces out. I hated Spider-Man 2. No defense for it.
Miles story is only good in the movies. The games fail specifically because Peter is still alive. I know that's a tough pill to swallow but Miles is just not all that especially when he's right next to Peter. His villian absolutely sucked and made everyone seem stupid and inept. The fact most of their problems could be solved by talking makes them seem careless. He didn't even make her see his way or make her own up to her actions. She just dies in the most forced heroic sacrifice I ever seen. Acting as if Miles was going to Nuke a City when all she needed to do was throw him super high or just run away from him. So he ends up learning nothing and his only original villain is just gone forever. Awful story.
Listen as for the Game Awards, Yuri Lowenthol earned that and it was flat out robbed from him.
i will actually agree this he did a really good job switching between the venom infested peter and normal one, also i just think it would have been really funny to have the disney infinity narrator voice actor win something, but then again i havent played bg3 yet so i cant really say he was robbed when idk who exactly he was going up against w that guy. idris elba was also really good too.
i think ben starr as Clive from ff16 deserved the win, but him and Yuri both had OUTSTANDING performances
Spiderman 1 felt like it was paced better (even with the Sinister 6 not having as much build up as Id like)
Spiderman 2 has stuff like Scream, Scorpion, Lizard, and even Kraven to a degree come in with all the hype and they just leave the story really underwhelmingly
Lizard just gets a needle, Scream just.....leaves, Scorpion just dies, and Kravens felt like he HAD to die because the writers didn't know what to do with him anymore
(And all of this is not even talking about the waste of time Black Cats chase was)

@@lilsoonerfaninmo getting nominated is a good achievement too. Just because any form of media is nominated but didn't win any awards doesn't make them bad. Like Horizon games are both nominated but didn't win. But they are still amazing nonetheless. Plus Tom Cruise was nominated 3 times at the Oscars but didn't win, but that doesn't mean he was terrible. He still have good performance.
Plus neither did the first game won anything either. But I will say this is that the story for the first one is a bit better. But Marvel's Spider Man 2 story is amazing too. And better game overall is Marvel's Spider Man 2

I mean sure, FF 16 and Hogwarts Legacy could have been nominated but they weren't. And Marvel's Spider Man 2 got 91 on Metacritic making it the highest Metacritic score of any Marvel game
Across the Spiderverse has a lot problems aside from its pacing. And I’m not just saying because I don’t like Miles Morales or the Spiderverse and wish they didn’t exist.
Yeah, into the spider verse was very well paced. The story wasn’t super deep it had amazing moments. Across the spider verse felt so messy and stereotypical
I don’t mind the whole LGBTQ stuff, I think it’s awesome that everyone gets a little representation, what did disappointed me was the story as it went kinda fast, also I think the left out Miles a lot, overall a pretty good game with better mechanics but worse story telling than the prequel.

It was a shame Spider Man 2 never won anything in the Game Awards. I kinda felt like the devs needed more time to deepen the story, but AAA companies aren't exactly the most patient in the world.
That wasn't the problem. They forced MJ missions and Intahar literally admits that he didn't care what content they cut just make sure MJ is playable.

Kind of agree, but damn how hard is it to improve upon the story of SM1? SM1 didn’t have a super deep and intricate story. It was just better paced and much more intriguing and the characters felt natural. The characters in SM2 feel so robotic and the story is so rushed in the third act. Honestly, SM2 is the most disappointing game of 2023
Um no thanos helicopter is explicitly from a non canon book and was retconned out of existence with a few reference so show how stupit that idea was
Back to the topic at hand , Yes a adaptation should stand on there own but saying the games should be structured like a movie is fking stupit , the games a literally following the pacing of the fking comics , the comics has a lot of side plots and sh1t its the zig zag pace u just described and because the first game literally has a fking comic book writer to help with the story , so the game is literally paced like a comic book , with all the bells and whistles of a typical comic book arc
Cilvians and heroes not reacting to an alien invasions aftermath is literally typical comic book style writing , because comics never cover the reaction of the public because they straight away cover the personal relationship of the character this is accurate to the source material
The only problem with the story is venom , because they removed the best aspect of venom that is his personal vendetta against spiderman , because unlike most Spider-Man villains venom has personal connections to spiderman and that most don't have

A simple solution would be to just release additional stories as standalone DLC.
Also, Miles ain't Spider-Man, and Harry ain't Venom.

Nah, while the pacing of SM2’s story is better than the third it’s still a weak and predictable story that barely has any originality or character to it. SM1’s story is 50x better than SM2
