I think we could see younger &/or older versions, & maybe even another version of a character in another timeline in S5.
It all starts with Mr Clarkes "many worlds" explanation in The Flea & the Acrobat" episode in S1.
We were also shown younger versions of Billy, Eleven, Max, Kali, & Henry during various points throughout the 4 seasons.
Lucas reading Stephen King's The Talisman novel to Max which deals with "twinners" is also interesting, especially how they exploring the younger versions of the older characters in the First Shadow stageplay.
Thanks for choosing mine but just to be precise, I think the army will include the ones who were taken by the upside down directly, which excludes Benny and Alexei and even Bob maybe, but making so many cameos at once might be difficult so yeah

I don’t know why, but I just get this feeling that will Byers will die by the end of the season, and that he may be the one to make the ultimate sacrifice in the end to be a major character death because it’s clear as day that there is a connection between him and Vecna in other than that, I would have to expect the series to end on a happy note but you never know
what if for the first 2-4 episodes vecna is still in maxs mind and pretends to be her to get info from the group but the group eventually finds out and they do what they did to will in the shed in season 1.

Sometimes when I hear these theories, I wonder if we're even watching the same show...a crawl is a mission in dungeons and dragons, where you and your guys go out to get loot, food, magic, etc. Think about it, there's gonna be a bit of a time jump, they might be quarantined by the military and are living off little to no supplies and or electricity etc. That cartoon they posted on the writers account showed Jonathan and Steve tryna start a generator of some sort, they're probably out collecting supplies for the crew, or finding a new place to stay.

I've got a theory which comes all the way back to the first season. Back there, when Mike and his party was talking to their Science teacher about how to travel to the upside down theorically speaking, he told them that If this gate to another dimension really existed, it would swallow them up whole and that's exactly what is about to happen to Hawkins If nothing changes, Hawkins will definitely fall like Vecna said in the fourth season.

I keep thinking about Kali and I think it would be good to have her back, BUT if they decided not to bring her back, I would figure that Vecna got to her and killed and “absorbed” her. He played a lot of mind tricks on the group. Like taking place of Max’s mom, the Guidance Counselor, the Snow Ball for Max, etc. their power and mind tricks were 8’s gifts. Of course we will find out in Season 5.

The Upside Down's Return: It's likely that the Upside Down will continue to be a central element of the story. Season 5 may explore how the rift between the two worlds isn't completely closed, leading to new threats.

I feel strongly about the dual character crawl theory that you mention! Both Max and Vecna are seen in their crawls back and they flip back and forth between the two. I believe this is a very logical and probable scenario that we will see in episode 1 of season 5

Hi so I have 2 maybe 3 theories for u so my theory is: max will wake up from her coma and she’ll be blind but can only see the upside down and so like her body is in the real world but she can see the upside down like Demogorgons and stuff yk sorry if I didn’t explain that very well😅, 2: in s4 will showed mike his painting and said mike is the heart of the group he’s what keeps them together, and he also told eleven that he loved her which made her stronger when she was in vecnas lair so I’m thinking that vecnas gonna well take mikes heart💀 and that would destroy el and mikes last words will be “I love you eleven..” 3: Jonathan will die because I ship stancy so if he dies Nancy and Steve can be together 😁💀😭 anyways I hope u like my theory
Find Steve's comment to Nancy about "crawling backwards" kind of strange, unless it's possibly foreshadowing S5's "The Crawl" Episode?
Perhaps Steve & Nancy will be amongst the "crawlers"??? Perhaps the "backwards" could mean back in time?
I also recall a high Steve & Robin looking up towards the glassroof in Starcourt Mall in S3, with a circular spiral of the lights & stars which resembled somewhat of a portal.
There's been a lot of foreshadowing of going "back in time"!!!
those are really good theories but for the billy coming back in season 5 if you look in season 3 when he’s in the upside down there’s another version of billy a upside down version of him i wonder if the upside down version came back instead of the actual billy and he like comes out to help el and everyone else and if that happened i feel like he would have a lot of regret if he saw max like that but the theory of him being a villain is good too i feel like that would be really hard for them especially for max if they had to defeat him

So my theory is, in stranger things season 4 episode 1 when hellfire club was playing dnd so it was number 20 needed on the dice for a win ryt? As Nancy said there is a big monster with open gazing mouth+in season 1 ending Mike and group talked about theselhydra+will maded a painting too having a monster ,so maybe vecna isn't a main villan it can be a big monster and kali eleven and one will come together n kill the monster. Coz 11+8+1=20 which is needed for the win.

I think Will byers have to die since Will already foreseen his death in season 1 and technically he already died in season 1 Will is actually the same as Henry Creel the difference is Will have friends to rely on to maintain his sanity,and Henry doesn't,Thats the reason why Will was able to survive the Upside down because he can Control the Demogorgon just like Henry,also have the ability just like eleven & Henry,seriously 10 yr old boy stuck alone in upside down, That's the reason why Vecna is interested in will Vecna consume part of will to control the other being in upside down when will was stuck at the upside down, at the end Henry and Will become one, but Will remember his love interest,Mike Wheeler and rebel agains Vecna and let Eleven Kill them, At the end Eleven also needs to die, or to stay in the upside down since She is the Upside down, so the Gate will never be open ever again, so that other country's will never have a way or open the gate,that's her greatest sacrifice viewing her friends in the upside down stalking mike feeling her at both opposite side of the wold, smiling,Next is steve Harrington Sacrificing himself for Nancy, Realizing that Nancy still love Steve but he knows they can't be together because she already have Jonathan referencing the Death of Harry Ozborned's Death in spider Man 3,Jonathan and Nancy living together remembering Steve

I really don't like will dying in season 5 cuz like the whole point of stranger things was finding the upside down and saving will and if he is gonna die in season 5 there's gonna be no point of season 1
