My mouth literally fell open when Max’s bones started breaking. I was like, “WHAT?????” Truly epic season. That and Eddie’s scene were just phenomenal!

Max is in a coma but she’s not dead yet. Vecna/001 technically “killed” Max. Lucas mentions that her heart stopped for one minute and that’s how the portal opened and why the clock chimed four times. But Eleven somehow saves her. At the hospital Eleven goes into Max’s mind but can’t find her. It’s just empty. In the massacre scene 001 told eleven that the kids are not dead but still in his head. Papa also mentions how 001 consumes the people he kills. My theory is that Max’s consciousness/soul is in his head and if he’s defeated all the captured souls escapes. Since Max’s body is still intact her soul has a place to come back too, while the others can’t be saved because their bodies are completely destroyed.

Fuck dude your probably 100% right. He’s gonna have to be killed for max to come back. My concern is how the upside down was opened and created. Did 11 create that world or did she just open the portal? Because if she created it I am worried that she’s gonna have to sacrifice herself to save everyone
Meh, people use that "they're not really dead as long as they're in our thoughts" line all the time. I don't imagine this is going to be something different, I think he meant that he "ate" them, as in absorbed their essences and such, but they're definitely gone for all intents and purposes. It's like saying you ate something and it became a part of you, so it's not really "gone", but it's definitely not its own thing anymore.

The part where max is released from vecna and she cry’s to Lucas cuts my hart right out. I cried so hard my head hurt. Unreal acting and setting. What a pleasure to watch.
@Tyler Troyano I wish though Vecna would have purely sadistic and evil and not be complex. Given what he does is pretty evil but he thinks he's rational and justified. I don't like that they tried to make the audience sympathize and empathize with him a little bit because of all he did.
man those two are the best thing about the show other than the bald bearded flamethrowing russian speaking guy (im so bad w character names lol ive seen every season multiple times)... i think they both need way more action in the final season. sadie is my fave but lucas was b4 she showed up. hes so sweet.

4 is a circle, the four points of the compass. It makes sense that he would need 4 points to create a bigger portal.
Alternatively, the fourth dimension in conventional physics is time, which was both alluded to and manipulated throughout Season 4. The fifth dimension deals with the concept of a tesseract, which describes how space can (in theory, at least) be warped.
Um, what? Four is a _square._ Infinity is a circle. If you mean four is a polygon, then _three_ is the simplest polygon.

It's great how as the kids get older, their monsters get more menacing and complex. Lucas holding Max and calling for his sister to help him brought me to tears. In fact, I was a mess this entire episode. Gay is normal, but I don't think Will is ever going to be a normal person again. At the end, when he was talking about Vecna NOT being dead, he looked so haunted. Next season will be epic!
I was wondering why the duffer brothers didn’t just tell us he was gay but I remembered it takes place in the 80s being gay back then was completely looked down upon

Will is a sad character. It’s not a very good time to be gay in the 80s because of HIV. He is lucky his brother is very sensitive and empathetic and he has no father.
@@taonglobo Technically he still has a dad, but he's a useless dropkick who's called Will homophobic slurs since he was a kid (as did his childhood bullies). So Jonathan reaffirming that he'll accept Will no matter what was probably Very needed after growing up with Lonnie.

I just love how Argyle is basically a pot-head version of Nurse Joy from Pokemon, with basically someone just like him working at the other Surfer Boy Pizza restaurant (and presumably all of them). I laughed my ass off 😂😂😂

Argyle was my second favorite new character this season, right behind the legend Eddie Munson.
I am a true 80s kid. I’m almost 45 years old. And I feel that this TV series is the best I’ve ever seen. I have fallen in love with the characters and the story lines. I love the development of each of them over these 4 seasons. The actors and actresses that portrayed these characters are absolutely and amazingly talented. The homage paid over during this series is with thee utmost respect, too. Thank you Duffer brothers for giving some of us a trip down memory lane. I have laughed. I have cried. RIP Barb, Bob, Billy and Eddie. I am SO excited for Season 5 . I truly hope it is not the last season but if it is, please give us 10+ episodes lol!

The whole ‘revival’ thing is actually quite simple, it’s just the human body, really. Obviously for somebody to be alive, the blood needs to circulate the body, which can only be done by the heart, though when somebody dies, the heart stops this, so they die. What Eleven did was really simple. She practically got Max’s heart with her powers, and made it beat, which then meant the blood could go around the body. She pretty much just did CPR a with her powers.
She's alive but Henry did a number on her already so she's half dead. But she'll come back next season. If they wanted to kill her off she'd be dead by now.

OMG FINALLY SM1 WITH SENSE! its so annoying how everyone is like "how did el bring back max? Does she have sm healing powers? How did she bring max back from death? Did she resurrect max?" Like ppl dont think i swear! ALL el did was made her beat again by pressing her heart with her telekinesis, and we already knkw she can press internal organs too, when she mad troy pee himself in s1 by pressing his bladder

I do have one thing to say, while it does makes sense for 11 to just pump the heart, two things would need to happen. Since max stopped breathing when she was “dead” any oxygenated blood she had left was all she had. Secondly, 11 had to pump enough blood to max’s brain that was still oxygenated and get the cycle going. I’m not sure how long that takes or what amount but just good for thought. Another thing, cpr works because it applies just enough pressure to start the heart, and not so much that it damages the person. So 11 just squeezing max’s heart just by feeling probably wouldn’t work out. And 11 just had the fight of her life, so I feel like reviving someone isn’t really possible at that moment. Also we’ve never seen 11’s powers work from this range let alone through seeing max in her mind. It just seems weird that all 11 has to do is say no and she’ll be able to do all sorts of new things. Also let’s be honest, did she REALLY know max? She had one day where they had a sleepover and now they’re best friends? With all the trust issues 11’s had it doesn’t really seem all that like her to be so attached so quickly. It just feels like she had too many aces up her sleeve for it to make sense. Sometimes it’s not as simple as “she started her heart back up.” Just my opinion, I know I’m over complicating things and I’m sure they will have a reason at some point, but with what we were given it’s pretty hard to believe everything worked out like that
Eddie was one of the best characters of the show. I wish he somehow came back as a denizen of the Upside Down. Or Demibatman

Fun theory, I think Vecna will bring him back alive just like El did for Max, all he has to do is keep his heart moving, or maybe just heal him within himself, idk I think it would be awesome to see Eddie as an actual bad guy without the group actually knowing, like a soy
I liked Eddie but bringing him back wouldn't feel right it would take away from his sacrifice

There’s something to be noted. El does not need victims to open gates, but Vecna does. She can open and close gates without human sacrifices. I think El is more powerful than Vecna and/or has more ability to tap into the source of power than Vecna. Edna needed four victims, and his fourth victim sacrifice was not completed… what does tha mean…. Are the portals not stable?

Technically, El needed victims as well - she had to banish Henry to the Upside Down in order to open the portal. Same with the Demigorgon.
Honestly, these are metaphors for banishing abuse from your life. It's locked away in a dark place inside of the mind. We can heal and overcome the past, but it can also haunt us at any time.

Without doubt. I don't think we've even seen El at her full potential yet. I think we got a glimpse in Season 2 when she closes the gate but she's going to be 🔥 in season 5.
There's something else too. During the scene where she breaks free from vencas vines it's easy to forget that what we saw was a mind fight not a physical one. She was inside vecnas mind when she did that so that means she overpowered his control to release her without him even knowing it. I also wonder how a physical 1v1 will play out. El was fighting long distance on Vecnas turf and jumping through hoops to do it. Face to face might play out differently.

I was half expecting his heavy metal rock to like drive the bats haywire messing up their sonar and maybe lighting and storm in the background.

Yeesss I'm so happy someone thinks Max will have powers in S5. I think Will will too. I'm thinking Will could get a power upgrade to control monsters from the Upside Down like how he was possessed and Max will have the ability to traverse through memories. I don't think Max realizes she's doing this just yet and is just lost in memories atm. I would love to see more superpowered people on their team for the final showdown and I'm hoping 008 comes to help too.

@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 Max is mine too! Tbh since S5 is the last season, I think Vecna will be a lot more brutal. I know people were mad that a main character hasn't been killed off yet but I don't think any of them are safe in this last season.

I have a strong feeling there will definitely be time jumps (as stated by director and yourself. ) but both past , present/future. These jumps will play a big role with being ahead of 001. I think 011 will figure that out, meeting Max during different time period unlocking probably a power within Max who will be the key to all of this.

This finale really had an Empire Strikes Back vibe, especially with ending where the villains win and the heroes are at their weakest spot.
Luke undergoing training with Yoda similar to the whole Project Nina thing (even the scene where Eleven lifts that chamber totally parallels Luke trying to lift the X-wing).
Luke leaving the training to face Vader despite Yoda warning that he's not ready yet, just like how Eleven ran off to face Vecna despite Brenner claiming that she's not ready yet, only for Luke/Eleven to face defeat under Vader/Vecna.
It ends with Han Solo being captured by the Empire and frozen in Carbonite, kinda like how ST ends with Max in a coma.
Even their story structures are kinda similar, with the heroes being separated for the majority of the story (Luke/Eleven undergoing training while Han & Leia/the Hawkins gang are fighting the Empire/Vecna)
Funny that you said that I got a new hope vibes when the guards in the Nina project bunker were getting ready for the other soldiers braking in the door it reminded me of the tentative 4 stormtroopers vs rebels.

I was so confused why literally 2 days after massive gaping hell holes opened in the middle of town everyone was literally just calm, did nobody like, wonder why there were massive chasms into hell in the middle of town? It just made zero sense how quickly the mood changed
Because everyone that doesn't understand the "upside down" in Hawkins only assumes it's an earthquake. They state this in the last episode.
However, I too didn't like the fact the duffer bros made a time jump of '2 days later'. Because we all seen Eddie cut the rope to the portal, so how did Dustin, Steve, Nancy, Robin get back to 'real life'? I feel like this scene was rushed.
@@gessh6872 I dont think its that much of a leap to say the gang managed to get back from the upside down, i mean theres no immediate threat to them in the upside down ad im sure they could figure out how to go back through the portal without a rope, i mean dustin did it with a chair lol
They talk about how Eleven never lost like this before, so I assume they know there's a giant crack in hawkins, but I don't think they expected it to start contaminating the normal world.
Until the scene when the portal opens I thought this finale will be epic. Then, this 2 days jump happened. I thought, Ok, I'm sure the entire US army is at hawkings by now and they trying to lock down the place and figure out what to do, everybody is in panic and running for their lives. Instead, everybody was chill and calm, slowly and peacfully preparing to leave the city, reporters are reporting meters away from the portal and besides 1-2 solder there are no sign of any significant military deployment. WHAT the actuall f**ck??? This made 0 sense to me, its completely ridiculous... This is such an incredible plothole that almost destroys the entire tension which was built up until the point when the portal opened. I just don't understand how could they think this was a good artistic choice...
Well Hawkins has no a history of monsters from season 1 to 3 so guess they're used to it now.
I definitely think Max is the key to beating him. She unexpectedly got in his head. If Vecna keeps all his victims with him in his mind…. She’s still there. 011 will use that back door Max opened to get her out & defeat him.
How cool would it be if Max got the minds of all of Vecna's victims to revolt and stage a prison break?
Yeah, that is my prediction as well. Since Venca gains power by shackling his victims minds within himself, the key to weakening him will be releasing all those that he has killed. Max may very well be the key to doing this.

@@theredmocha Actually it was around 18 minutes before they grab the flamethrower he pulls out a pack of filtered cigarettes and a couple seconds later the top is on the table

@@theredmocha Well not sure exactly but if you watch Jim Hopper he only smokes unfiltered cigarettes and even has a moment with Joyce who coughs because they are 2-3x stronger than filtered. The Camel's in Russia were only filtered so he stayed in character by ripping the filter off ;)

I hope so, I don't think eleven can close that giant gate on her own so getting 8 and characters from the comics involved seems necessary. Same with the army nancy mentioned
interesting if she got a sort of similar fate to classic loki from..loki or something like that. Her power is definitely unique but a lot less useful overall, and other than a good distraction i can't really see her doing all that much.
I just found that part really unnecessary, like what was the reason. It felt like they just needed to quickly fill a gap. Eleven went and left so suddenly and she’s never been mentioned since.
8 can come back… the rest can stay in Chicago.
I was surprised that Will didnt have a bigger role in this season and wonder if his "strange " feelings could be more about Vecna - since he was the first person able to escape the upside down - it would have made sense if somehow I did love the rest of the season!

Really enjoyed this season. However, it's cowardly to introduce Eddie only to predictably kill him in the finale. I think it's past due for the Duffers to kill main characters. Like, why not have Dustin die in Eddie's arms? That would be daring storytelling. Or, maybe kill Steve to give Nancy some edge, or have Lucas accidentally kill Jason during the struggle for the gun. This is a horror story after all and the cast is huge.

@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 because that’s decent character design? There are times where having a mustache twirling, evil for the hell of it type villains is for the best. And personally I agree with you I think the entities that the protagonists go up against in this show should be just that. But I also like what they did. Because it’s not that you have to sympathize with him, just understand to a degree what he’s getting at and why. And his motives aren’t bad. He truly believes in what he’s doing and makes it hard to argue with those beliefs, because in a way what he’s doing is beyond what humans would ever consider rational. To him he’s a god and who is anyone to argue with what he has accomplished. All they can do is fight and in the end I don’t think anyone will be left feeling sad when he goes, maybe just like “hell yea finally”. And that’s probably what they’re going for

I think the reason the upside down is stuck in time from when Will was taken is that when Eleven opened the gate a second time in season one, she fused the two words together somehow. So when she connected with it through the void by touchingthe Demogorgan, it changed from it's original and Henry/Vecna/One molded dimension into an echo of Hawkins frozen at the moment of fusion.

This show meets and exceeds expectations every season. I loved this season!
Season 1 was new 2 was same ol' same ol' but it had great character development and cute kids coming out age romance that's nostalgic even for adults. Season 3 was boring with the Russians. But season 4 is great thanks to new villain Henry and the backstory of El and what happened at Hawkins lab. Humans always make the most compelling villains than mindless monsters because human villains always make interesting character studies.
Season one was still the best. Lots of mystery and a slow build up of horror and an atmosphere that can’t be replicated. I still enjoy the series as a whole
So these scene with Will and Jonathon in the Pizza place. That scene awoken something deep in me because I was bawling like a baby as Jonathon was telling him how much he'll always love and accept and be there for him. It was truly and underrated moment.
When you said "memory in a memory", it makes me think of The Haunting of Bly Manor... Like they are still living on inside Vecna's head, tucked away in a happy place, (hopefully), ignorant to what is really going on, not wanting to remember/relive the trauma of their death.

The thing that bothered me most was how Vecna was the main bad guy all along instead of the mind flayer. We’ve had so many human bad guys was really hoping the mind flayed would play a bigger role and be the hive mind virus type bad guy from the upside down everyone has to worry about because it gives us a villain that isn’t redeemable and an actual threat

Upon first watch this is still the case. This retcon only just happened and we still got to watch the first 3 seasons under the impression that it was a hive mind. Vecna isn’t really redeemable either he’s technically killed everyone you’ve seen die on screen
yeah, human imagination is very limited... to humans, more specifically to males. it would have been cooler to have a non-humanoid villain.
I don't think Crill/Vecna is redeemable, hence why he makes a great personification of the Mind Flayer.
A couple things for me, Eddie's character had so much more story to give, that it sucks that they killed him off. Second, I found it odd that Jason had most of the town on his side to hunt the characters down but when they did find them, it was only him and his homeboy to show up.
I agree, Eddie's death felt off to me. They were trying to fulfil this story arc about not running in the face of danger but realistically, he didn't slow down the bats for long. Even the way the bats circled around him seemed stupid, they could have killed him instantly with the amount of them there was and then went straight back to the house with Vecna
The whole reason Jason had basically no one with him when he found them is because he started to go crazy because of his paranoia and fear.

At first vecna had to abdorb his victims to actually kill for the gate.
Eddie was killed by Bats, not absorbed, which lets me really hope that he comes back like that betraying Vampire fighter against Vecna( the only not having no brain option in dungeons and dragons to defeat Vecna) with an e-Guitar which have some awesome super wave power...that would be great...Eddie why did you die??
Will Definity has some big role to play in the Upside down. He obviously has a connection to it, for the connection to be cut he might die next season.

season 1 episode 1, when Joyce first goes to Hopper when Will is missing, she says Will's dad always said Will was queer. They've been foreshadowing this since the jump!

through out all the deaths in Stranger Things Eddies death hit me the hardest and him playing master of the puppets just makes him more awesome than billy, bob and barb

@@zacharyhall365 I was satisfied to see Jason get cut in half, especially after the way he beat Lucas and got in the way of Max. But When Eddie launched into playing Master of Puppets I died Laughing. That was so great.
Season 5 opens up with Dustin remembering the first day he met Eddie when everything was back to normal. Eddie bestows some metal wisdom to his new hellfire member then we cut to the big time jump future.
That would be a great opening for the fans and for the story. It’ll also give Quin the stage to show his acting chops of playing a Eddie not fully evolved or grown into… but still have him be charming and bestow wisdom
Concerning the number 4, the fourth dimension in conventional physics is time, which was used and manipulated throughout this season. Continuing with the (assumed) pattern, the fifth dimension- the concept of a tesseract- could be a major plot element in Season 5. Tesseracts describe how space could be warped, and how one could (in theory) travel great distances while making it seem like only a few feet(or meters, inches… however you want to measure it).

I like how badass hopper look in the end of the fight but was it even helpful to the main group.
I'm saying yes, but maybe not the best job showing how. The arena fight and torching of the demogorgons was juxtaposed with Nancy and Robin shooting and burning Vecna. There was a moment after a Demogorgon was hurt when Vecna looked like he was feeling pain, but it's hard to tell because he was on fire and taking buckshot, too.
I guess the argument would be a less distracted Vecna may have been able to overpower his direct assailants. Sort of a cost for having the hive mind.
I thought it helped nance, steve and robin bc right after they burnt them in russia, the tentacles dropped them

Also just to add that there was the need to roll 20 to win D&D at the start of S4. This would be 11+8 and they would then realise they need to draw 1 out from within Vecna to make 20. The Henry Kreel at the moment he was allocated number 001 will still be in Vecna somewhere - as he says, they are all still in him. If they can use music to draw out the innocent 001 befoere he turned evil, then they reach the 20 to win!
I never thought about the dice roll, that's actually really interesting! Though the only problem is that Henry Creel was always evil, he was born that way and will die that way. But your point may still stand, there still needs to be one more person to make an impact and help take him down: Max? Will? Who knows

@Karate Chicken I wish though Vecna would be purely sadistic and evil and not be complex. Given what he does is pretty evil but he thinks he's rational and justified. I don't like that they tried to make the audience sympathize and empathize with him a little bit because of all he did. And plus the main characters will have to kill him off. So I don't see the point in him being complex and sympathetic if he will eventually go down and needs to be killed?

13:20 Jonathan never said he didn't want to go to college. In fact he had been accepted to a community college in CA near his family. He just didn't want to go to the same college as Nancy because it would be away from his family that he is used to supporting. He assumed if he told Nancy that she would move out to CA to be with him and not attend college.
It's a pretty misguided belief that Nancy would suddenly give it all up for Jonathan and Nancy wouldn't just attend another college in CA but maybe Jonathan has been smoking too much pot to think straight.
Oh my god, I cheered so hard when Eleven said she liked the pineapples on the Pizza!
It was silly because Hawaiian pizzas have been around for decades (since 1962), so they'd been a thing for a long time by 1986, but they didn't become a meme to pretend to (or actually 🤦) fight about until relatively recently (~2010s). So the show forcing this meme-ish scene was silly and breaks immersion when they usually go out of their way to try to stay true to the timeline (except when they screw up like Suzie talking about IP addresses two years before IANA was founded).

How did Vecna transform the upside down to mirror Hawkins, even the physical things like houses, bicycles, diaries with details etc? How did he manifest tangible physical copies of everything? That's sorcery that is beyond the powers that we were shown him have. What is the true secret of the upside down, is it a reflective mirror dimension of sort? What was the mind flare before vecna took over it? It doesn't seem to have a mind of its own. What is it and what can it do apart from being puppeteerd by vecna? Where did it come from and what is it made of? Did it have a purpose, is it sentient? Is it like wate? We can manipulate water, water follows the law of physics, water gives life to many organisms BUT water does not have a mind of its own. Is the mind flare like water but to the upside down? What water is to life, the mind flare is to the upside down?
We gotta wait 3 more years and we will know but it's worth it

Max entering Vecna’s mind reminded of a scene from Dr Who: The Girl in the Fireplace. When the Doctor is exploring the Lady’s mind, she starts talking about his childhood. When he asks how she is able to do that, she essentially says he opened a door through which she chose to cross.

I think Will built Hawkins in the Upside Down when he arrived. That would be why it is frozen in time on the day he entered it.
I think Vecna's mind fills in the landscape when he stalks someone in the normal world, like a game map adding in buildings and roads when you enter that section.
Remember, although Will was taken from his house... he was at the Wheeler house playing D&D and as he left that house, the porch lights started glitching.... Vecna projected himself _there_ , he is the shadowy figure that appeared on the road, just like he was the shadowy figure in johnathan's photo of Barb at the Harrington house.
The upside down copy of Eddies' trailer is only a few days old... it's from when Chrissy was killed, not the night Will was taken.
3 out of 4 victims completely died. Max was the only “survivor” ig u can say. So with 11 not being able to find her, i think that means that max is either still “asleep” or in the dimension that vecna was initially in (black and gold realm)
Or she's half dead. Technically she died but El brought her back but her soul is still lost somewhere.

Best finale of a show ever and it’s not even the series finale Henry is still alive barely but still living just licking his wounds getting ready for all hell to break loose and let that giant mind flayer creature out of the giant gaping hole in the middle of Hawkins Rip Eddie hopefully Max gets her sight back and wakes up from her coma to watch that movie w Lucas they planned out Season 5 is going to be bat shit crazy if half of what Nancy described happens jus imagine Hawkins swarming with demobats and demodogs demogorgons every demo in the book freaking epic
They need to keep Henry alive to sustain anther season. Henry is like Darth Vader so without him then next season there's nothing left to tell. It's tough coming up with new villains.

I was really enjoying this season. I even got super emotional which is uncharacteristic for me. That being said it really was a bad idea to split this season in two parts. I feel it really hurt the emotional impact the show would have had on me overall. I still enjoyed it very much . But I hope netflix doesn't do this again for season 5 .
It helped a lot with hype and marketing. Prevented people from just binge-watching the entire show in one night and never talking about it again. They're going to 100% do it again.

What's the big deal with the extended part 2. They couldn't pack everything into an hour episode so that's great we got 4 hours of entertainment in the last two episodes to tell a complete story with great character moments.

I think it was due to Covid messing up things early on. Instead of holding off the entire season, they got the first ones out for VOL 1 while they finished up and gave us the last 2

I was thinking that if Max will return/wake up in her coma, maybe, the four gates will close. But for that to happen, Eleven needs to get inside of Henry's mind so that she can find all the people that Henry had killed including Max maybe even if he was just halfway into killing Max because Eleven stopped him. If Maxine will return, she will be blind.
I was so sad when Eddie died and when I saw max arms begin to brake I had goosebumps.

this show makes me so emotional. The POWER of these stories. steven king type stories. with a group of kids. the mind of a kid, just having fun in a basement and playing games. in season 3 the killer end line from the letter: "i don't want things to change" and we see will cry and them driving away. I have this huge place in my heart for that time in our life. that age. and seeing it in this show, it is kind of hard seeing the kids grow up. and things changing and changing and there is never enough TIME.
I really love this season. Very amazing storyline and keeping the pieces fitting. No doubt they worked hard on bringing it all together. ❤
Damn season 4 is the best season of the entire show and damn Eddie's death was just brutal and hits hard💔🤧

2:23 It could be the Upside Down thousands of years ago. Maybe in it's infancy. Like a line Dustin said about knowing how long the upside down has been around. And Henry could have spent thousands of years there, corrupting the already hazardous realm. And for some reason recreating Hawkins. I think it's unlikely that he built Hawkins in there though. I think that has to do with Will.
I still can't believe Eddie went back for those darned bats...him stalling the swarm was arguably pointless, which makes his death even more annoying 😩
It wasn't pointless though, did you see how f*ckin' many got in? And they were coming straight for the gate, they would've flown right through, ripped both him and Dustin to shreds, and then feasted on as many poor saps as they could find in Hawkins. Eddie's death saved Dustin and probably a lot of other innocent people
I don’t think we will have a very happy ending for Eleven next season. I have a feeling she’s gonna have to die and have always felt that way because of the nosebleeds they get when using their powers. This has always spelled doom in one way or another in my opinion, maybe it destroys their brain when they use it more and she has definitely used it more lately
I mean if any of the project's children are alive, then a portal could open again. In order to end the show, the UD has to be finally closed off for good.

Just my opinion but I think that the only person that can actually kill vecna is Eleven herself. Just like how harry was the only one who could kill Voldemort in Harry Potter. Since he’s stole some of her powers I think she will be the only one who will actually be able to kill him.
I just realized something with your post. Vecna took something from Eleven than put him at an advantage. Strikingly similar to Voldemort using Harry’s blood to revive himself so that he could gain an upper hand by overcoming the spell of his mother.

That was very selfless of Will putting Mike and El before himself. I still can’t help feel sad for him and he needs someone to be there for him more than ever. He’s obviously not ready to be totally open about his feelings toward Mike yet. Some are very honest with how they feel and some are just too scared to be honest. The thing about feelings is that they change, that’s what makes them so interesting and painful, but you can’t deny that you feel feelings because then you’ll just end up feeling worse.
Why would he tell mike he has a crush on him? Mike isnt gay and is with el. What would be the point?
The only single thing I had a problem with in the final episode was that everyone calls it an earthquake even though I have a hard time believing that not a single person saw the giant rift in the ground or took a picture of it. I mean with all the people there, it just doesn't make sense. Also, wouldn't there still be giant Valleys in the ground from where the rift originally was? Besides that one thing, I loved everything else about the season. Great job!
I think the whole no pictures thing has to do with people getting evaporated if they were too close to the rift + it’s the 1980s so most people just didn’t carry cameras around like we can today

One question : the Demogorgon is shown in the first season with the ability to create portals. My understanding was that Eleven, by touching its mind, just made it realize that there was another dimension, and that was why he went into ou world ... but in later seasons, this ability of the Demogorgon just ... vanished
In the very first episode of season 1 Joyce tells Hopper in his office that people think Will is gay. Hopper says “is he?” And Joyce says “he’s sensitive.” So they’ve hinted at it from the beginning. Love the writing and character development in this show, it’s amazing.
3 theories of mine: 1. The gang, after a couple years,figure out beating vecna and the mind flayer is practically impossible and they come up with an idea of going back in time and reversing the first showdown with Henry(vecna). Everyone comes back to present day like nothing happened. But the twist is,with that, they have no memory of 11. And 11 has no memory of them. Second theory, same thing,2 years ahead, they're trying different things, and realize will can tell where he is. The group figures out to defeat the mind flayer,they have to defeat vecna in human form. They plan an all out brawl and during that max wakes up, which closes a gate. The gang realizes this and they head back to the upside down,revive the others and close the gates. After that they kill vecna in human form. Still having the mind flayer to deal with. 11 tells them she can control it and send it back but she will have to go with it and close the gates for good. She does,and stays in the upside down to watch over the darkness. 3. Same as last two,2 years later, vecna and mind flayer reek havok on Hawkins. The gang comes up with a plan to get the mind flayer back to the upside down. But first the mind flayer kills vecna and starts to run wild. 11 goes beast mode. And send the mind flayer back and seals up Hawkins. When that happens, 11 gets too weak and dies,while saving Hawkins.

the show’s longtime production designer Chris Trujillo said in an Interview: "The moment that the Upside Down was quote-unquote “created” inadvertently by Eleven, the set dressing and the world of the Upside Down is frozen in that moment. So like when we’re in Nancy’s room, we’ll discover in the Upside Down that Nancy’s room is as it was season 1 when we first were introduced to it."
So the Hawkins version of the Upsidedown was accidentally created by Eleven when she opened the maingate. That makes more sense than Vecna doing it because he hates the artificial human world. He wouldn't want to recreate it. He wants to take it over and mold it into what he wants.
I agree this was the best season and the last two episodes were amazing! And yes The Talisman is about another realm but it's more like a fantasy world than the upside down. Also i had no idea the Duffers are making it into a series that's awesome!
King is overexposed. I wish Barker's works would get some more attention. They didn't even make volume two of _The Great and Secret Show_ graphic novel. 😕

I didn't even know there was a graphic novel of TGASS but I liked the book, actually it was the first one of his books I ever read bit that sucks it only got one volume. Unfortunately only Hellraiser was adapted and the only other movie of his I recall is Lord of Illusions.

I really loved Will's speech, it all but stated that Will might be gay and in love with Mike. Noah performed it brilliantly, and I hope that it gets addressed in Season 5.

I think it’s fine if people see it that way but even the actors of stranger things don’t see it that way so I doubt the directors will go down the route. Noah himself clarified that it’s fine if people see it that way, but that’s not his intention or the writers. It’s about Will who grew up too fast and feels like his friends had slipped away from him. He misses Mike who used to be so close with him and now only pays attention to eleven

I think the Hawkins crew is going to evacuate to Indianapolis. This was mentioned in the last episode and I just don't think El has the firepower to deal with Vecna and his army head on.
But they'll come back to Hawkins for the final battle.
They should bring the other kids with powers and 008 to fight along with eleven and the Hawkins crew

Though I wasn’t really a fan of season 2’s arc with Kali/Eight, it could be worth noting that Eight’s storyline is unresolved and that she may well be coming back in the season 5 finale. Maybe Eleven and Eight have to fight together in order to defeat Henry/001/Vecna.
It also seems that Will is tied into the mind flayer in ways that have yet to be revealed.

Yes! Oh wow I did not even notice that. I felt that Vickie was nervous around Robin because the feelings are reciprocal and it seemed alluded to with how she over explained her ex boyfriend. Guess we’ll just have to see!
