Theorists, I have been WAITING for the right time to talk about Stranger Things and well... I guess that time is now. Max surviving has got to play a role somehow. Based off how when she was in Lucas’s arms while in the attic her eyes were still cloudy (I’m pretty sure she even said “I can’t see”) I’m assuming she has permanently lost her eyesight and now will be some kind of “seer” she’ll be connected to Vecna in a similar way to Will. Will can feel what Vecna feels and Max can see what Vecna sees. I don’t know it’s just a thought based on her injuries. I don’t know anything about D&D so I could be way off base.

Will Byers being a connection to the realm and the mind flayer makes sense. I did have a feeling that Vecna has been preparing Will since around season 1 to be his vessel if things turned sideways. But if that is the case, wouldn't that make Will the actual heart of the group? I would say that Mike is the inspiring leader, but definitely not the heart. Can't wait to see the finale of Stranger Things!

I'm not so sure. When Barb was taken into the upside down, her body was used as an incubator for the demo-tadpoles. Not sure if she was killed before or died in the process but when they found Will, he was being used for a similar process although it was halted. If they hadn't found him, I imagine he would have been dead similar to Barb. Also, I'm wondering if all the Demo-dogs sans Dart were actually "born" from Barb.
Wills selection as an incubator is rather odd though, as he is a pretty small person, even for his age (until season 4 at least). You would think someone with more volume, like Barb, would be more ideal. Also, I'm wondering who the 'parent' of the bats would be. You know... Bob did dress up as a vampire for Halloween...

Everyone keeps ignoring Kali's role. She was teased in the first episode of season 4 with papa's crossword puzzle, she made people see creepy psychic spider's just like Vecna, she gave 11 the same advice about tapping into a painful memory to unlock 11's full potential, and she's on her own bloody quest to return order and balance to the world. I see her joining Vecna in season 5, betraying him, and being killed in turn. I didn't know abot the Kas connection before, but Kali might take the role of Kas.

I have a theory that Vecna's horcrux (can't remember the name of the D & D version) is going to be the clock. The clock has often and/or always appeared in victim's visions, and they include a specific scene of Nancy seeing him rewind the clock. The reason everyone sees the clock might be because when Vecna takes over their body, they are a part of his mind. (Also side note, I think when Chrissy sees spiders crawling out of the clock it's an analogy for the four gates and the Upside Down.)

The Duffer Bros said a lot of S5 would be similar to how things were in S1. And that worries me. Because at the end of S1, El ended up sacrificing herself to save everyone else. I do think Will and El taking down Vecna would be a really satisfying conclusion considering he's been tormenting the two of them since the show started. And Will and Henry both are described as sensitive kids with a knack for art. So I definitely think there's more to their dynamic.
So basically like who El is based off of in actual DND. Who El is based off of in dnd throws herself off a cliff in order to stop vecna

As for the theory about Vecna killed the eight, it works out. Vecna was one and eleven was, well…Eleven. And we also have to remember that the one girl escaped when she was little and joined a “gang”. So, all of the other telepathic kids represent the eight

Genuine question here: am I being silly by immediately thinking the theory was going to say that the Grandfather Clock was going to be a Phylactery when MattPatt introduced them? He was going down the path of saying it was obvious and I was going "yup, that big clock as it tolls whenever he captures someone so is prevalent in hospital existence." and then he goes onto Will.....I mean, yeah, sure he is a clear one also, but I 100% thought it was going to be the clock.

I have this feeling Will is going to have his Harry Potter moment, since season one the news clipping at the end of the season “the boy who survived” has always sat with me… i think he’s going to sacrifice himself for everyone to destroy vecna and i’m not sure if he’ll come back from that
I hope it’s like the Harry Potter thing when Harry kills the last horcrux (i forgot how to spell it) he dies too technically but comes back so i want will to die then mike to confess to him and then he ends up coming back and then will and mike get a happy ending (at this point i just want byler to come true)
I dont know if it was just me or if other people thought this to, but I always thought will and harry were pretty similar, their akwardness, the fact that they survived terrible things, and even the way they speak.

I think the three-year gap was the reason why Stranger Things S4 did so well. We were waiting for so long, and they knew exactly how to hype up each season, then they did another smart thing by releasing it into 2 parts. Just over a span of a month so people wouldn't forget, and it made people discuss and make theories. This not only brought in more people but it made even more hype
I'm surprised so many people disliked the way Eddie died. I thought it was very sentimental and gave an already tragic character a phenomenal ending that still lingers in my mind. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Eddie. But I don't think he would have made such a huge impression on me if it wasn't for his last words or the fact that, despite everything that went down, he still wasn't vindicated in the real world.
Sometimes characters don't need a "happily ever after" ending to shine through.
Eddie and Dustin could have gotten away safe and sound. Eddie's real tragedy was that he had nowhere to go, so his sacrifice was senseless.
it's not about the fact that he died. I also got emotional and think he had a sentimental death. It's *how* he died. He didn't need to do that, and simply putting a tape and speaker as a distraction could've given him a proper escape opportunity.

You start by saying you don't understand why people are upset with *how* Eddie died, but you conclude by saying they can't all be happy endings.
It was obvious that Eddie was going to die, whether it was this season or next, and it works with his character development. There is less a want for a happy ending for him and more a want for a *better* written ending for him. I *expected* him to die and appreciate that *necessity* narratively, I do *not* wish it had been a happy ending for him. I just wish his death had been *better* in that it wasn't dumb/unnecessary/poorly written.
If Will has gone through everything he’s gone through and sacrificing his love life for people he loves and then has to sacrifice himself physically before ever getting the happiness he deserves, I think a large portion of the fandom will riot. He has been unnecessarily to a degree tormented in this show. It’s not even like Eleven where she has been fulfilled in some portions of her life since the show has been going on.

i think fans miss the point where that seems to be the destiny for his character? like, they can "ship" all they want, and "headcanon" or whatever, but in the end, it seems fitting for someone like will, who has been written tragically until this point. there's no good reason to change the trajectory other than to appease the fans, and that never ends up doing a good thing for the series as a whole (think the ending of SPN).

@@AtomicVertigo_Comics its not really to appease the fans but itd just be kind of weird from a writings standpoint. everyone else had at least some kind of happy ending and having the character that gets tormented nonstop never get any sort of happiness (a queer character in particular) is just wonky imo. like he was already abused by lonnie and bullied as a kid, his life was already miserable and then it somehow got even worse. giving him a good ending would just tie things together nicely rather than just make it an endless spiral of misery with no payoff.
@@kamilo7473 from a writing standpoint, it makes less sense to give Will a happy ending. He was set up to die tragically from the beginning, and even if he doesn’t die he’ll be too messed up for anything resembling happiness in the 1900s.
He’s the character that always dies in-game and causes the rest of the team to ruthlessly body the main villain at the first opportunity.
Yeah, Will needing to sacrifice himself after all his suffering (physically, psychically, socially, emotionally, every imaginable way really) is just mean-spirited. Ultimately, this show just doesn't seem darkly nihilistic enough to go that route. I think he needs to find some actual happiness.
I feel like Eleven's sister will really come in handy in season 5, I mean they really left us off in a cliffhanger when Eleven decided to split with her last second. I also remember she showed her that she can make things appear when their really not there so I feel like that ablititly itself will really help Eleven in what she needs to do
the duffer brothers said it was an experimental episode. the intention was to start a spin off series with her being the main character. at that time marvel universe just started. ST was trying to catch on the trend. the episode didn’t do well (more specifically the worst rated episode of the series). The brothers probably just want to forget about it now lol

How does nobody realize that *Billy* might end up being Kas? Dude was the first one Vecna targeted when developing his plan. It was Billy that was being talked to, and it was Billy that gathered people to make the mind Flayer in the world. *And if nobody truly dies and instead lives in Vecnas mind, then THAT would give Max even MORE of a purpose and connection to Vecna by connecting to what is left of Billy.*
They even brought him back for an entirely NEW scene in season 4. If they hadn't had any plans for him in the future, then they'd just have max remember him by using previous footage. Max being blind could also make her have a connection with him.
Oh boy, that's great! It would also help to finally give him the redemption arc he never got. Perhaps he turns the tables on Vecna or provides Max with useful information that helps the Party find Vecna's philactary and weaken the hive mind. Wouldn't that be a twist? The bully who died saving Eleven can finally get that redemption that he needs..

my conspiracy theory: The Mind Flayer is Kas and Will is going to fill the role of the sentient sword. in the lore, its the Sword of Kas that corrupts kas into betraying vecna. In previous seasons its been shown that will is an important counterpart to the mind flayer with his connection to the upside down and for a time the flayer himself. I think in season 5 will is going to use that connection to ally with the mind flayer against vecna somehow.
As much as I love Eddie, bringing him back I feel will cheapen his emotional death scene and his uncle’s and Dustin’s loss. Makers can’t also bring characters back just coz fans want them back, even in a fantasy dynamic.
I do however agree in the belief Will is going to be either be the big unwitting baddie of the final season or the sacrificial hero, either way he’s gotta be saved with mental consequences or mercy killed to claim peace for both him and Hawkins..
I think it was strange though the way Eddie’s death was handled and was practically not acknowledged by everyone besides Dustin and his uncle. I think that there are a lot of parallels to Eddie coming back as Kas and it would kind of explain the lackluster response to his death. But to each theorist their own!
I think Eddie's death was incredibly unnecessary (dude literally just. ran into bats), and Dustin being the only one we see grieving was a bizarre move. But I agree that bringing him back cheapens his death, as well as the whole s4 finale. S5 needs to honour Eddie, and I wouldn't hate Joseph Quinn getting a cameo in a flashback or some Vecna vision or something, but bringing him back to appease the fans would be a mistake.

Bringing him back is so pointless. I get how people are upset about his death but reviving him does absolutely nothing for the show.
Fun fact: The Shadowfell was actually named the Veil of Shadows in advanced d&d and was referenced in season 1 to describe the upside-down.

The clock sounds were added to the old episodes just before season 4 was released. They weren't there at the time of their debut. The creators had talked about going back and adding some details to old episodes.
And additionally (assuming you’re talking about the “clock” noises when Will first entered the upside down), they aren’t even clock sounds. I’m pretty sure the sound effect is just the bike’s wheel still spinning after he set it down
5:19 Eddie had to die because when the demmobats saw that it was a recording, they would go directly back to the mansion. Ergo Eddie had a resin to die
Vecna actually has even more foreshadowing in season 1. The most damning moment to me is how Brenner says, that the Demogorgon wants to contact El, because it “wants her”, as Martin says. We know, that the Demogorgon has the consciousness of Vecna inside of him, so this shows that Vecna wants to contact El specifically, not any other human. This means that they already had in mind the story of the main villain knowing El (because they were both test subjects)
When s1 was made, the show was supposed to be an anthology with each season following a different plot. I don't think it was planned from the start so much as they wrote around what they had.

Honestly they should've saved off Eddie's death for Season 5, that way they could find a more useful death and given us some more time to build his character and make a death more impactful.

I agree but not because of the connection, but because there are still the letters that she wrote. I think we will have to see what was inside them. They weren't there for nothing, wich breaks my heart as Max is one of my fav characters.

Max’s mind is stuck in the upside down. Vecna opened portals into the regular world by killing them and pulling them into the upside down, similar to how Eleven sent him into the upside down.
In the first season, people were sent into the upside down but there minds were still attached to their physical forms. In this season Vecna’s victims were being separated from their bodies, hence why they went into the trance in the real world and were fleeing Vecna in the upside down. Once he captured their minds, he destroyed their bodies while trapping their minds. This is why we saw separate versions of Vecna’s victims in the upside down trapped by tentacles.
At the end of the S4 Pt1 finale we saw Eleven go into Max’s mind and it was empty. I think Eleven disrupted the process of Vecna absorbing Max freeing her mind to return to the real world momentarily until she died. Now the question is, where did her mind go? Is it back in the upside down?
My prediction is that Max will either serve as a spy within the upside down or she will be corrupted by Vecna similarly to how he corrupted others.

Honestly, I kinda think Eddie's death might have been so shoehorned in because they were set on him being Kas and choosing a song that could symbolise that turning well after his confirmed death kind of makes it even more compelling for me, as if they were really trying to justify his forced death. However, I really dislike how often they bring back characters so I'm kind of hoping this theory about Eleven is correct.
This theory is so tragic, and it’s so depressing, but it’s brilliant. Though it would be heart wrenching to watch something like this go down and watch Stranger Things come to an end like that, it would probably be one of the best endings to a show ever, if written well and done right. I mean, I hate to say it because I don’t want to see my favorite characters die off like that, but it would be an insane ending to this story.
There is one person we are not taking into consideration as Kas: Max. The former best friend now brought back to life by Vecna as a sick joke against Eleven which then backfires might be a really compelling arc. We also do not see Max when El tries to go search for her at the end of the season which has me believing Max is taken by Vecna. That ending scene has to mean something. So this is my theory.

Max was my first thought too. She died and came back. Maybe she brings back some darkness that Vecna exploits in his weakened state.

What about hopper? In the last episode of stranger things season 4 we see hopper slaying the demogorgon with a sword, first cutting off its right arm and then decapitating it. Perhaps a reference to dnd Vecna's hand and eye?

I would like for Mike to take a bigger role in season 5. Since Season 2 he’s been kinda sidelined. I think max might also be connected. Maybe she is in a coma connected to a hive mind. Maybe that’s what rips the original boys. Mike and will die and Lucas is heartbroken. Maybe their familys die or Dustin loses steve. The loses could bring Nancy and Jonathan together too

I think you’re right up until Will’s death. I think it’s gonna be a struggle when they find out Will needs to die but when Mike gets killed Will and El will have a conversation where Will confesses his love for Mike and then decides to sacrifice himself to take down Vecna and avenge Mike.
I think the mason jar with the dead spider in it is a great candidate for Vecna's phylactery, as it predates Will entering the upsidedown, and it seems to have held some special significance when its found.

The upside down itself could also be the phylactery

I think it's important to point out that party level and growth in D&D can be EITHER XP based OR Milestone based (gaining levels based on achievements or completing quests). So even if we won't get an exact theory calculating party levels, it's easy to say that everyone who's still with the group has to be rocking some pretty high levels with everything they've done!

I think the more important link between Eddie and Kas is that Kas is known for his signature spike-laden shield which Eddie uses. Not his sword

I (along with MANY other people) feel like Will needs to play a big role in the next season. If he did die it would be very tragic (aT LeAsT hE cOuLd mEeT eDdIE) but could be a way that would fit the story. However, I feel like Will and Max could be candidates to be Kos if Netflix doesn't want to end their storyline tragically with a barricade of emotionally distraught fans. I also feel like Dustin and Steve have a strong connection point for the group.

The song choice used for Eddies death scene would lead me to believe he's still alive, the show has used the song b4 in scenes where we think someone is dead but they come back to life (season 1 episode 8 - 37:40 ish area) They did this again with another song, Peter Gabriel's Heros. Used when they find Wills fake body in season 1 and again at the end of season 3 when we think Hopp is dead.
To me it looks like music plays a large part in the show, both the above songs repeated on the show, and the connection to should i stay or should i go" and "running up that hill"

I feel like they've been setting will up to die sense season 4. They made him more relatable, racked up the sympathy for him, all to drive him tword a very emotional death after he finally figures himself out like we've all been hoping.
I really hope Will doesn't die. Will dying would be like when Mockingjay killed off Prim - what was even the point of any of it?
I figured the phylactery was the grandfather clock from his childhood that lurks in every nightmare. The hive mind connection with will may be separate from the phylactery, or the hypnotic effect of its pendulum may be an integral part of establishing his connection.
Someone else in the comments talks about this a little more but I think Max is gonna be able to see what Vecna sees kinda like how Will can feel what Vecna feels. It would make sense because of how after the mind flayer left Wills body he got his "true sight" ability.
if stranger things does follow this theme, one of vecna's phylacteries could be the clock as he uses it so much throught the entire show, e.g. when hopper is in the tunnels, when will falls off his bike, when max sees the clock. the clock is used to much that it will definitely be used in season 5.
Another phylactery could be his spider cage. Like the jar that held that one spider that Henry let roam around his hand. It was also the same spider that crawled around Steve, so that spider must be important somehow.
I’m gonna be sad when Stranger Things ends. It’s such a good show and we’ll thought out. I love all the characters and don’t want anyone to die. Especially STEVE!!
Same here. But it needs to end. I remember being heartbroken when Gravity Falls ended, but i'd rather have an awesome show that is finished and even has an awesome ending, then a show that is milked for money and revived again and again until it inevitably fails. I just want to see what becomes of our heroes and how the survivors are going on with their lifes.

The problem with movies, that dont occur in shows like ST is that they want to put a complicated story into a one-sit movie for cinemas mostly.
Imagine how much important things they would have to cut in season 1 to fit it in 2-3h movie. How boring ST could be. Not to mention next parts.
There are movies that actually benefits from short lenght or being like trilogy then, but there are not much. Even famous Harry Potter was heavily cut (like whole plot with Hermione fighting for home goblins working for free in Hogwart (sorry, i dunno the official english name for the Dobby's species xd)).
Thats why the 2h 22min episode of ST was so good. We knew their past, their story, we were attached to every character, even if they appeared in current season. It was like watching a good sequel, where someone that never watched ST could not undestant anything and probably get bored.
I’ve thought that it was gonna be either Billy or Eddie, since the end of last season. But apparently Eddie is coming back the next season, so at least I’m happy about that, he was literally my favorite character.
The duffer brothers do this very intentionally. They introduce new lovable characters so they can dispose of them to make you sad and feel a type of way. Season 1 Barb, season 2 Bob, season 3 Alexi, season 4 Eddie. Like it’s all very predictable.
Maybe 11 should go inside Will’s mind to find the Vecna as he still is connected to Will and also find out that Will has feelings for Mike

As a Long-Term GM, did you consider Module Completion Experience when estimating Levels? Each Character gains an amount of EXP determined by length and difficulty of the module, as well as Equivalent Party Level. (The Key being that there are 2-3 Active Parties at any given time during Stranger Things). Would love to see your opinion on Levels using your equations plus like 1,500-2,000xLevel EXP per Character per Module/Season.

I’m just hoping they do more with Will. Since the 2nd season with everything that started happening to Will after he escaped the upside down, I’ve been hoping he would get powers or be the hero. I mean come on, out of everyone that got sucked into the upside down in season one, he was the only one to somehow survive. He even survived being possessed in season 2 by the mindflayer. I know they’ve put a lot of emphasis on Eleven being the hero, but have the secret weapon in the background; its Will, it has to be! When they play DnD, he is the cleric…I don’t know much about that game, but from what I looked up, this is the description of that role: “Clerics are skilled in the use of divine magic. Clerics are powerful healers due to the large number of healing and curative magics available to them. With divinely-granted abilities over life or death, they are also able to repel or control undead creatures. Clerics also have specific 'domains' which usually align with the character's alignment... Whether the cleric repels or controls undead is dependent on the cleric's alignment.” I think *alignment* being the key here. He’s been in the back of the team so far. In season 3 & 4 they made Will seem kind of weak emotionally with him being sad about his friends not playing with him, everyone getting into relationships except him, and his feelings for Mike. Even that painting he made for Mike, he put himself way off into the backline of the depicted fight. Maybe the show writers did that on purpose to make Will seem like an unlikely choice to essentially “win the game” for everyone. With DnD being the theme of the show and how much emphasis they’ve put on that game (his disappearance was even told/predicted by the game in the first episode) , it only makes sense for him to finally be put in the frontline and use his power to somehow control and defeat Vecna. The show started with Will being the first one to be targeted by Vecna, so it needs to end with Will fighting him. Those are my thoughts anyway.

I have a feeling he's gonna have a much larger role in season 5. I mean the whole idea of Will crushing Mike wasn't touched on or resolved at all in the end of season 4 and it's going to come up somehow in season five. I don't know how or when they're going to do it but there definitely is going to be a confession scene where Will tells Mike he has feelings there. It'll prob be incredibly heartbreaking too bc we know that Will only wants the best for Mike and that Mike is happy with eleven seeing as Will encourages their relationship no matter how much it kills him internally. HIs connection to the mind flare and thus vecna isn't fully gone either so that will also prob play a role.
EDIT: Also just so you know alignment represents a DND character's basic character structure. So there are 9 alignments and they are crossovers of two categories. The character can either be good, evil or neutral and they can also be lawful, chaotic or neutral. Each DND character has to pick one from those two categories and that's called character alignment
I think that their downfall with Will came from introducing too many other characters and relationships that took the audiences attention. They just shoved him aside and treated him like a McGuffin. I have a sneaking suspicion that anything they do with his character in season 5 is going to be anticlimactic and rushed.
Could Kas be Will? Someone that Vecna has used in the past? It could be a cool arc to see Will finally triumph over Vecna, who’s been manipulating him throughout the seasons

Nancy noticed that they went back in time, when they went to her house to get the guns.. 11 will need to go into the upside down, open the original gate, that she 1st created to send 001 to the USD, and if they leave the USD using that gate, they will essentially time travel back to that time, and somehow stop 001 (Maybe using the song that 001 listened to as a little boy) The fact that they even put the scene in, where Nancy notices the travel back through time, tells us time travel will be involved.. because it just doesnt fit in with anything else. I really think we will see some sort of travel through time, and defeating on 001 in the past, to save all the people who died, Barb, Bob, Eddie, Shmirnoff.. ect.

I theorize that Max will gain powers due to some of that classic 80s "power of love" cliche. We see how Eleven is saved from One as a child by her remembering her mother's love. Defeating him gave her increased power. Since we see Max somewhat saved by El's love, but left blinded, it is possible part of Vecna lives in her now and she will gain powers.

Plus she’s the only side character that has a poster, she’s also the only parent that has been showed a lot more than the other ones (besides Joyce). Maybe she might play an important role too? Adding on to the death of the 8 sorcerers when Vecna showed up in DND, he killed 8 of the other psychic children. He killed all but himself, #8 and 11. Just adding on to Matt’s already amazing look into this.

I think Eddie is done, but maybe will come back as memories, whether flashbacks for motivation or used by Vecna to mess with others. Great character, but his line of not running this time gave him closure and redemption. His uncle got closure, the town/government/media has someone to twist the story onto just like with past events, plus his death will be Dustin's motivation since he is probably the only one with someone to not fight for (actively since Suzie is far away and so far has been a plot forwarding device). Though on that note, I hope that with events probably being covered nationally, maybe Dustin will tell her what's going on, she will somehow get to Hawkins and be the team's techie to aid in the final battle.
What if part of how Vecna is defeated is by causing him to remember his fondest memories, thus making him vulnerable? I'm not sure whether he may have some pleasant childhood memories, like when he may have been really young, but I do know there is a theory floating around regarding the possibility of him being Eleven's father. That's something that he may have been aware of, but she wasn't, and it may give an interesting twist if in the process of him remembering that, it's revealed to her also. After all, she was also able to see Billy's fondest memory. It would also give Henry telling Eleven that they're alike an even deeper meaning, aside from just saying that because they're both test subjects. It could also be the reason he wanted her to join him. With a twist such as that, I see several possibilities. Also, if Will is to play an important role, which I've been hearing that he is, perhaps this sort of thing could be used to his advantage, seeing as he's able to feel what Vecna feels.

Max is dead. She is alive, but has no soul. Therefore, she is "dead"
One thing about Kas’s sword is that it is tied to Nerull, the old evil god of death. It is believed that Nerull corrupted Kas…further corrupted Kas…through the sword, leading to the betrayal. This could be a way to lead to the “there’s another bad guy more powerful than the last one” trope.
While the hand and eye are the most iconic, there’s also the heart of Vecna which is in possession of a powerful lich known as Queen Osterneth, the Bronze Lich. She’s quite obscure, but would make a great miniboss on the quest to take out the philacteries. His other most popular artifact is the Book of Vile Darkness. It is so powerful that he keeps it in his ribcage.

These are my points/thoughts for S5.
1. The deaths from past characters lingers and are actually useful to our heroes, but to Vecna as well. Dustin just joined the "Vecna messing with your head" club with Eddie. Like Nancy and Barb or Max and Billy.
2. The show already hinted at the parents getting involved and don't forget the world is still after our kids, and considering Hawkins is about to become an apocalyptic place, The parents will have to step up and protect their families. Based on the interaction with all of them together, Mike's mom seemed to be the "leader" worthy person of that group followed by Lucas' mom?
3. I always thought either Hopper or Mike would die bc they're the 2 most important people to El. She needs a boost to fight Vecna if you will, just like how 8 trained her.
4. We still don't know what other powers El is capable of as she did do something to Max at the list minutes to "save her".
5. I think the bats will have an effect on Steve, bc Robin might have foreshadowed rabies with bats.
6. I still think the therapist is sus bc of her necklace being a key, and the keyhole on the clock. Maybe the clock is an item or the house?
7. What happened to Murray and Enzo? We didn't see them, but I'm assuming Murray is hiding him and let's not forget the Russian gov and our gov still hunting El and Hopper or the traitors.

In season 4 episode 6, he was talking about a time back then and says that he’s referring to the time before 008 left.

You know what would've been fun for the community? If they released the episodes weekly.
So that every week all the fans could talk and speculate about all the different theories they have running in their heads. Like legit speculate about the questions that continue to arise as they watch it episode by episode. Lots of people get it wrong, lots of people would get something right. Either way, people think more about the show.

The duffer brothers went back and added the hints that Vecnas there even when he wasnt. Tere are videos on CZcams about changed scenes because they aren't as clever as people want them to be.

First: it's actually interesting how in early editions of D&D to gain levels you should've taken heaps of money to the training facilities because it was sometimes ten times more efficient way to get XP than just by acummulating battle victories.
So funny thing: El would have bigger numbers by a lot, because of this military/government funding.

So it turns out there's a way for them to get quite a good amount of levels, that one could calculate. Although it would require to have comprehensive morphological analysis of each occurrence that's considered an encounter, taking in consideration who of main cast participated where. For 4 seasons each of them running from 8 to 13 hours - that's on par with "What levels is Pikachu" episodes and even harder

I think Will is going to sacrifice himself and start a sort of rebellion from within Vecna, weakening him at a crucial moment in Eleven's fight and its going to end with him taking over as the dominant force controlling the Mind Flayer & Hive mind.

Also, can we say how weird it is that they go from Demogorgon (demon prince with his own massive swarms of demons he governs), to a mind flayer.... Almost feels like a step down if you think about the dnd part.

The slug in will was a demogorgon not a direct branch for the mind flayer to use to control people. Also the D&D game in ep 1 could be an outline of season 5 with Kas betraying Vecna and almost everyone dying. It's possible for Kas to be Eddie, although it's unlikely as Stranger Things deaths have so far been permanent to mean something, Will is a more likely person for Kas, as he can "sense" the presence of the upside down. Even though I would like to see the return of Eddie I think it's unlikely (as I said above) Stranger Things has so far kept it's deths permanent (expect for Billy as a vision) to make them mean something. I do think your ideas of charecter deaths and such are likely but I don't think it'll pan out axactly like that. Also if WIll is one of the felecterie things wouldn't Max be too, even though it would be like oooh no Max is dying... AGAIN it's possible. Thanks for this video, it was really fun keep up the good work.

I think another important component is the clock. When you look at the clock there is a key hole on the side of it. The therapist has a necklace with a key and a clock is on the key. Because everyone who visits her winds up dead or is aimed at by vecna, I think the therapist could be working with vecna or at least controlled by him as well.
honestly, the whole scene with max trying to get her to talk about chrissy felt so... off, i guess? i mean, there was a clock ticking throughout the entire scene, and she was wearing that necklace. idk, it would make sense if she was controlled by vecna or smth.
We need to know how Henry got his powers, it can’t be out of nowhere. Maybe Vecna chose to give him that powers, knowing that he will eventually merge with him and open the portal.

There are so many interesting parallels and symbolism between Will and Henry that I hope you go into, because the proposed ending you have I think is not in the least bit satisfying (even though I enjoy your theories!) I believe the series will end with both Will and El being alive and both of them playing huge roles in ending Vecna
