I think it would be more tasteful if Eddie returned in flashbacks rather than being actually alive, it would serve both his and Dustin’s character better

Kind of a stretch, but I would love to see Eddie brought back as a hallucination created by Vecna to guilt trip Dustin. If he can taunt Max with a vision of Billy, he can definitely do it with Dustin as well.
It makes sense if Eddie Munson returns in a flashback whether it was a scene that was off screen, but yeah I do think Eddie is going to make an appearance in the final season.
here me out, in a scene of stranger things season 5, when Dustin and his friends are moarning over eddies grave, what if the camera fades downwards and we see Eddie tied up screaming in the upside down realm that we saw when vecna got banished to that realm by eleven. the bats are flying over him and eddies bait for dustin and his freinds to come back because they figured out that he was alive, and thats how they get baited into the upside down once more to finish off vecna....
This does not really make much sense. Eddie is dead. We saw it. And the Upside Down is now in Hawkins
Ive been saying all along that the Duffer bros know how beloved Eddie is. I absolutely believe he'll be back in some capacity, especially because it looks like season 5 is gonna be playing with the show's timeline.

Imma say it: I despised how they "killed" off Eddie in the same season he was introduced. If they manage to come up with a reasonable explanation for how he survived, if that are the implication, I'll take that over the ending he got in season 4, Any day.
Imagine in season 5 Dustin begins to change for the worse, not like he’s on vecnas side or anything but he starts to be rude and his friends notice that and one day he just has this moment where he remembers what Eddie said “never change Dustin Henderson” 😭 I would be sobbing

Eddie's death is definitely going to play a major role in at least one of the storylines considering the fact he's still blamed for the deaths, and likely the giant portal opening up in Hawkins, and I doubt the Duffer Brothers are going to let THAT be the end of his plotline.
I heard a theory that's very convincing, it's that Vecna may use Eddie's death, against Dustin. It happened to Max with Billy, and it happened to Nancy with Barb, so I doubt they wouldn't do it again here. All three of these are very similar; The person partially blames themself for the death of someone close to them, due to their own inaction. Even if they try denying it, they still haven't been able to accept their passing.
I could also see Vecna going after Joyce too, due to her having the same experience with Bob, and the only reason he didn't get her is because she was in California, Alaska and Russia for the entirety of Vecna's reign of power. However I'm sure Joyce has accepted Bob's death by the end of Season 4.

Let's just say the only way that I could see Eddie returning would be either in a flashback scene or a time-travel storyline 🤷🏻♂️
I think it could be a cool idea if they just had Eddie's voice guiding Dustin to either 1. something that could defeat Vecna or 2. bring Dustin to find Eddie's body and to realize he isn't dead but in a coma like Max. They could do this in the 2 or 3 episodes as a B storyline. Because the Duffers did say that the Demobats couldn't kill someone so that could be a possibility. Depending on when they do the time jump if it is right off the bat or a few episodes down the line which could be a cool thing to do since this is the last season. Also maybe also just thought of this while I was writing this what if while Eddie is in a coma that is how he connects with Max to help her get back to her body. Maybe just before she wakes up Eddie sends a message along to help them in some way.
all I hope is that if Eddie does come back ,in whatever way he does, I hope that the fandom doesn't spoil it. But luckily the Duffer Brothers are very good at keeping this stuff secret.
Don't get me wrong, Eddie is an amazing character and his character development in just 1 season was beautifully done. However, i do believe Eddie needs to stay dead sadly, it would make his death and impact for Dustin ect to be so anti climatic and sour if suddenly he's alive. It further shows there's no real threat. And i do think he needs to stay gone to finish Dustins character arc fully. I'd love a memory flash back however. I definitely want to see him in some capacity, just not alive.

Nah that would be horrible…. But In D&D, Vecna has an assistant that’s a vampire and that vampire betrays vecna… and Eddie was killed by bats. That is more probable.
I think if Eddie isn’t alive Vecna will target Dustin and he will use Eddie to get to Dustin and make him weak,sad,and guilty so Vecna can kill him easily
But if he does come back to life I want him to start as Vecna’s puppet and he brakes free and turns out to be 10

I like Eddie too, but it’s safe to say if he won’t come back only because he is going to play human torch in fantastic four and that is supposed to release Valentine’s Day of 2025 so I would imagine in like two months maybe even now we don’t know it could be filming

I think in the final episode there should be a flashback to one of their dnd campaigns where Eddie gives Dustin some advice that contributes towards the defeating Vecna. I think that’s the perfect way to bring him back without ruining his legacy.
I have a theory, now just hear me out ok, what if ur theory that time travel does actually become real and that we do go back in time but this time were we left off right before yk max gets brain dead and eddie gets mauled to death by vecnas demo bats but events that led to all that happening is reversed but the same outcome where Nancy Johnathan and robin both take down vecna in the upside-down, and joyce still saves hopper from the demo dog still occur, but Lucas prevents jason from destroying the headphones and eddie instead of fighting he runs back to dustin to escape
I highly doubt it will be anything more than just a vision/ghost scene. Him coming back fully would be such a huge misstep from the duffers
How cool would it be if Dustin uses some of Eddie's music to protect himself from Vecna.
Flashback, or vecna using eddie against dustin in a mindfuk or nothing! They run the risk of becoming cheesey or tarnishing his legacy!

Out of all the loved ones that sadly died, I feel like BOB brought the MOST VALUE to the team as far as I can remember, but I COULD be wrong lmk! Bob The Brain is the one who helped Joyce, Will and Mike find Hopper when he was trapped underground in the tunnels. And he was, if not, the biggest reason they got out of the lab when it was locked down with a whole bunch of those Demogorgons! None of them knew BASIC (computer programming language), but him! And it costed his life for all of them to get out safe! #RipBob🖤
6:40 i’m gonna level with you, man. I really don’t think Eddie was everyone else’s friend the way he was with Dustin. Yeah he was nice with them and helped them when they needed it But it didn’t really really feel like he had a connection with them. At best he was close with the main crew: Dustin, Will, Mike, El, Max, and Lucas and his sister.
I was the same as you, some days I think he's coming back and then I'm just like "Nah, be fr" and I then I get sad lol. But after this video I truly believe he's coming back, just not alive or as Kas. My theory is the same as yours, I think we will see Joe as Eddie again but just for a dream/nightmare scene, or a vision, or something like that for Dustin. I think he probably already saw/read a script or maybe he even already shoot his scenes, who knows what he got going on back in Jan/Feb, but he definitely knows something. After almost two years of him saying "I don't know", this change of answer is very suspicious, and the "I do know" sounded so confident. He KNOWS and now we KNOW! lol. (Sorry for the bad english. The Duffers certainly have a knack for creating lovable characters. I miss all the ones they have included and then moved on from --Halli and her gang, Suzie, Chrissie, Argyle, Eddie. . .even Billy. It would be ridiculous to include them all in Season 5, but boy, there are some huge holes left by those characters.
So many possibilities I'm gonna stay surprised I'm mainly hoping for a vision or a dream sequence.

Yay more hope for an Eddie/Kas return, thanks Joe! I really want some of town to see how wrong they are about Eddie. The news just claiming he's a murderer with no proof on the 9th episode. How can they realize the truth about him if he doesn't make a return?
I imagine that with Hopper being back in Hawkins, it won't take long for Eddie's name to be cleared since Hopper's the most competent cop in the Hawkins police force AND the only one aware of the Upside Down and the lab.
@@AB-ew6tz Hopper wasn't in town during the murders. It would be hear say and not hold weight. I bet the party's voices will not be enough to clear his name not even El's I bet. A government official of some kind would have to announce it. It sounds more fun though for Eddie to prove them wrong in person by fighting monsters in front of them.

The latest events in the Netflix series Stranger Things have left fans on the edge of their seats. Vecna's confrontation with Nancy, Steve, and Robin has had lasting effects, with Vecna appearing more damaged than ever before. The possibility of Vecna resurrecting Eddie and using his body brings a new level of intensity to the storyline. Imagining the gang stumbling upon Eddie's body with Dustin overcome with grief adds emotional depth to the narrative. Will they have to leave Eddie’s body behind, or will they find a way to save him from Vecna's grasp? Either way, it’s hard to imagine the entire leaving him there to rot. I’d imagine Steve throwing him over his shoulder and bringing him back through the gate… Unless they were confronted by a force that didn’t allow them to.

When he was named to be in the Fantastic 4 movie, there was a reporter who said that Quinn was in Georgia filming Season 5 of Stranger Things…… then it was gone……. I think he will be back…… Eddie needs his name cleared, Hawkins needs to know that he did sacrifice for Hawkins……

i just finished re-watching season 4. i don't think he'll be back. maybe in a 'mind scene' like how we saw flashes of Billy return in Max's head. but bringing him back fully would really deflate his amazing final scene, and that great one between his dad and Dustin.

I hate to be this nerd, but...they have too much DND lore that they do have to bring him back as 'Kas'. I have a feeling the brothers knew this from the start and it was already planned that way.

I think he will come back just like when Jack appeared to David in An American Werewolf in London, covered in wounds and saying that the upside down must fall to bring him to peace.

It seems to me like Eddie might "come back" a little different, and I'm not at all upset by that. Maybe he's being controlled by Vecna and is against the party. This would make it even more compelling if he was able to break from Vecna's control and fight on the party's side again. At the same time, as much as I love Eddie, I think i would also be okay if he stayed dead because of the impact it had on season 4
Sorry that I’m late, because of the time zone I slept. But I need to say something. I SAW HIM SATURDAY IN FACTS DURING THE Q&A (sadly no picture with him😢,but well with Mckenna Grace😊). Some people had asked weird questions to him. That I can visit FACTS was easy because it was vacation and I’m living a few miles away (yes I’m Belgian🇧🇪). So I don’t live in America and even never went there and that’s the reason I wasn’t in Megacon two months ago 😢. Anyway it was the first time I saw a Stranger Things cast member in real life. I bought a few Funko pops from the TV-show there.
I don’t know if he is coming back. Maybe it will be a new flashback or a vision. The vampire theory is crazy. I think his death will still has an impact on everyone mostly Dustin.

Definitely a flashback for Dustin most likley, or less likely but maybe through time travel. I hope they don't ruin it by the use of vecna making him evil in a flashback. I really hope its just authentic natural Eddie Munson. Laughing at Dustin or something.

I think since he died in upside down. he’s going to be the savior kinda like. House on a haunted hill how at the end ole boy held open the door for them to escape so thet way to make him the hero to the world he truly was
I think there might be some sense about Eddies backstory because we did not learn to much about his past .
I would not want to see Eddie come back as a demon or vampire or some creepy thing from the upside down. If he came back, I want him to be Eddie Munson, his wonderful character that was definitely one of my favorites. So if they were going to go that route I’d rather see him stay dead. However, a dream sequence or something like that talking to Dustin would be wonderful as long as they left his character intact. I loved his character and the development of it was so sweet to watch. I just wish I didn’t kill him off to begin with.🥺

I think if they didn’t try to kill each other in the first 20 minutes, they might have eventually become friends-especially after Billy went through all that stuff with Verna. That would have been a great story arc if the series ‘had time’ for it. I will be thinking on this one for quite a while-fascinating concept. 🙂
Yes I think Eddies going to come back but only in like a dream sequence or like in the lion guard Mufasa only appeared in the sky when Kion only needed advice and that was only in a few episodes of the series seasons

My opinion. Yes he'll be back. How? No clue but cuz of his popularity, the creators won't let the fans down. There has to be closure and a way of clearing his name.
