Shawn Levy has always directed the third and fourth episodes of Stranger Things in previous seasons, and most notably won an Emmy Award for his work on Dead Billy in season 4. Due to his busy schedule with Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, Season 5 will break that tradition as he will direct a latter episode while the Duffers will direct episode 4. What episode will Shawn Levy direct?
I'm gonna go on a limb and say it's episode 6. I feel like the Duffers will want to take 7 just to smoothly and fully be accustomed to going into 8, the grand series finale. But I can see Levy doing 7 for whatever reason especially as a reward for Deadpool & Wolverine which is the highest viewed trailer in history with 365 million views across all social medias within 24 hours and mainly for being loyal with the show since Day 1. The Duffers have always directed in every season but the only one who's done that as well is Levy. Imo S5 should be all Duffers & Levy directing it otherwise that 1 director from S4 just to fit right into the story again
I agree with Shawn that the finale should be done by the Duffers. They created this show, along with writing and directing most episodes. It's only fitting for them to complete this story themselves. They put their love of '80s pop culture in this show, telling the story they wanted to tell.
I can't wait to binge & rebinge all of these videos, leaks and spoilers again for ST and on social media probably in Summer or towards the latter of the year depending. "Bittersweet" I think my theory is right about how the show ends. Time travel seems very plausible with them working on VFX and CGI as they film and ofc took 4 about 10 months of production even leading to the penultimate episode & finale. Nobody remembers what Dr. Brenner told Eleven about the Nina, the girl on the train who lost her lover. If El goes back in time and we get a timeskipnand El sees how everyone is doing and the final person is Mike at a train station with The Last I Love You playing, and El seed Mike but he doesn't know her cause in this reality, nothing bad ever happened. And then El just waves as a train comes and then disappears. And we get s final scene of just El on the train looking out the window crying (whilst The Last I Love You plays ofc) This would be bittersweet, El spending the time with her mom that she never got to after going back and stopping Henry where it all began before he got top powerful, the daycare fight when she originally threw him to dimension X I have not only believed this for months but I have envisioned it for months too but I'm always down for a curveball personally
I remember seeing somewhere a speculation about Mike dying (like Nina story) and this will ruin El making the need for time travel somehow Your theory made me think tho and how bittersweet could be if get's real
@@axelholweger9624 Yes, I said it before that it will be just like 401 Dungeons and Dragons game where Mike and El are the last one standing and maybe they faceoff against an evil Will which would explain why Will is pale in the leaked pictures just like S2 when he was possessed. And Will is going to confess his jealousy for Mike to El and literally tear Mike's heart out since he always talked about Mike being the heart of the group and this breaks El's heart so much that she has a moment just like Wanda Maximoff did when Pietro died that she falls on the floor and goes back in time which explains why they're still going back to the daycare setting in the leaks as well Also, this is all under the prejudice that Jonathan dies which is the ultimate motive for Will to become corrupt and easy to turn evil again and let Vecna in or join Vecna for Vengeance cause maybe Will blames a party member

It's the only way I see them being able to fix everything. So the bitter sweet might be going so far back before Will was taken by Vecna and they never meet Eleven. S1 Finale: Jopper saving Will's life by rescuing & reviving him in the Upsidedown. S2 Finale: Eleven back at the Lab with Hopper to close the gate while Joyce, Nancy & Jonathan get the Mindflayer out of Will. S3 Finale: Billy sacrificing himself to save Eleven, Joyce closing the gate again with Hopper supposedly also "dying". S4 Finale: Eddie sacrificing himself, Max supposedly "dying" allowing for the huge gate to open across Hawkins! Surely S5's ending is likely to end up with at least one popular character sacrificing his or herself to save everyone, with the huge gate being totally destroyed once & for all? & that it's the "Jesus" figure Eleven who is pinned in to play that role? That would explain the "bitter" part of the finale as described by Shaun Levy.

Their souls are trapped in vecnas mind along with the other victims -dr Jordan and Cornwell becomes friends with Jim Hopper and helps him to destroy the upside down. - Lucas, Susan Mayfield, and eleven vs possessed max. - Mike, Erica, Dustin, and will vs the giant gaping mouth creature.
This show has brought me to love the 80s so much and hate for the current generation because of the stupid technology turning kids brain into mush these days even tho i am 17 now i still feel i hate technology and only use them for research and a bit of entertainment purposes really 80s was a golden time
