Great video and I wholeheartedly agree with everything you discussed about!
I strongly believed the base model of the M1 Macbook Air was enough when I got it 1.5 years ago. Well, I was wrong. 8GB of RAM is not enough especially when you're running demanding softwares like the Adobe Suite, Davinci Resolve etc.

Should I buy 15” MacBook pro 16gb RAM 512gb SSD my main workflow will be Lightroom photoshop and premier pro or davinci resolve so will it work properly for 2 years from now please shed some light on this I am super confused

i disagree , always buy the base model macbook, if you need more performance just move up thru the models rather than small upgrades on same device. I always say either save all your money to buy mac air , or spend more money and but the m3 pro

16gb ram and at least 512gb ssd should be the base model in 2024! Spending more than 1000$ for that is ridiculous! Pure greed Apple pure greed.
Contemplating buying with student discount but nah, Ill contribute to that decline in their sales (around 30% from 2022-2023)😤😤😤

I am not sure I see the point of this video since you are only talking about the old 2017 version. I think all the base models today are fine/good enough even for the workloads you are talking about.

The reason I mentioned my MBP is to illustrate that I made the mistake of going with the base model when I was going to do heavier work - I agree that the new chips are fantastic (and I love the M2) however with 256gb storage and 8gb ram in the air for example you are extremely limited in what you can do in the line of heavier work (and even just basic video editing).. that said most people will never have a need for that power so they should stick with the base.

That’s very fair, although I think at this stage we shouldn’t even be presented with an 8GB option.. but maybe I’m looking at it too much from a workload POV
