Holy Shit, Just saw YourYugiohChannel during the commercial break of the Panthers Ravens game
As a street performer? He did make the news once, the video is on his channel, pretty cool i must say :)
I also saw him lol
Doing what?
noobtubers39 Performing on the street. Usually in commercial breaks they show something interesting relating to the city. Like in Eagles games they may show people eating at a famous cheese steak shop. YYC must be a big deal to be on tv twice in like a month.
Play in his trumpet type thing. French horn I think?
I actually really love how you have a price point and put decks under it. It makes you really wonder how the decks are so cheap, yet so good. :)
Boxers are a cheaper version of Bujins if you wanna play protect the castle. They got a third rota, and they can easily run kaiser colliseum. Since the deck itself is so cheap, and I still can't find a way to make the extra deck more than 6 cards at least, your only real expenses are 1 Lavalval Chain and 3 Vanity, and the deck is still under 150. the next most expensive card would be the triple forbidden lances, but at this point, who doesn't own triple Battle pack lance. Same with the breakthroughs. On another note, I suggest playing triple skill prisoner to protect yoke from cards like castel or Honor Ark who would spin it.
Another broken ass deck is pure Artifacts. They're really fast and don't worry about traps. not to mention Krystia is an easy main deck card. My friend went to an OTS with his build. Went undefeated among countless S Knight, Shadoll and Burning Abyss players all the way to the end.
I like Blackwings and to a lesser extent Fire Kings but Blackwings need to show me something first. As for Fire Kings Garunix just keeps getting weaker and weaker per format.
I feel like blackwings have a struggle in game 2 & 3 with how people are ready to side against dark. Wolfbark to 3 definitely helps with the struggle against burning through shadolls. Pun intended.
but what about baby raccoon's cause they are getting a new support tuner that will replace the tuner for the deck idk if they will have a come back or not
Racoons definitely are good, with that and mimic clay they've got potential.
ya is that card coming out next one and do you know when it comes out or? cause im just gonna hold on to my baby raccoon and do one more other deck but idk what else really lol
What do you mean Cap!? Blackwings should have been 3rd place at the *least*! They can go into Leo just by running over one monster with Shura! They have access to 3 searchable honests so they don't give a shit about Qulipoths and Shadolls. They have their own heavy storm they can use during the end phase, they also got icurus attack. Don't forget they have in their passion an evolved form of mirror force, which banish's problem cards. They can main skill drain and not care! I beat lightsworns, slyvans, Evil swarm, Fire fists, Satellarknights, and shadolls on a daily basis with this deck! Sorry for the rant but i'm just sick of people disrespecting my childhood arc type.
Frog Monarchs are my go-to. I think Fire Kings and Harpies merit a spot of this list though.
Side note, Plant Princess is so so Gucci.
Glad I found this video again. I remember back when CapG had great content, instead of clickbait replays 3x a day.
I really like this format. There are so many decks you can play and new ones coming in the future such as Heraldic Beasts and Noble Knights
I feel like this format is advantage decks VS. OTK. My reasoning; Advantage VS. Advantage; these matches are usually longer grind games, involving risks to gain slight advantage whoever nets the most advantage, and keeps their, or deteriorate their opponents will win. OTK VS OTK, this is based on many factors, not only being skilled in the deck you play, but knowing how to play safe vs going for the kill, another factor is if the deck is stopped can you come back with another push. Now OTK VS Advantage these are interesting games, which factors from both of the previously stated matchups clash together, if your opponent can gain enough advantage and stop the OTK, chances are he will win, but if you can rebound, and go on a second push having exhausted your opponents resources on the first initial push, you may win, very interesting format we are heading too.
Your'e actually right, +1 FF has a huge potential and with the right build can beat almost everything quite easy, except when facing a hard artifact engine...
I qualified for the DN Championship today after getting 3rd with FK in a big DN event, and again i can see the potential in the none-meta.
To simplify it: FF advantage is the fact that their main-deck monsters actually do stuff, while Tellas only know to XYZ, BA only know how to Float, and Shadolls also just run the deck but don't do much without the fusions. That's when Bear and Gorilla shine. make pluses with them, search for goykus, lock you opponent, have a lot of traps to stop any comeback, and your'e good.
Would you think 3.5 axis has a similar chance as +1 ?
The LV3 engine, being spirit, like 2 roosters, 3 leopard and 3 tensu, takes the space of traps, and if your'e not gonna have the right answer from simple things like 1 altair, it will flip the whole table on you. Lets say you've used your tensu and tenki\leopard to make the combo, but they simply Emptinness you or BTS. You have none targets for Bark in grave, and doesn't have a formidable monster on field. I just think that this is really unoptimal, playing on stuff like tensu and so. This is my current build, only i'v just dropped 1 TT and 1 Fiendish for 1 Emtpines and 1 Raigeki, it's still it the early stages although it works well and kinda optimal for now, the only problem that is hard to take care off is moraltach, but this just rapes Tellas and has a similar potential vs BA, considering they are similar, just with worse xyz's, better traps and floaters(aka better main-deck monsters):
srv1.jpg.co.il/2/542829d01f6a7.png
AvivPirate with such a low monster count, do you ever open with no monster/tenki so far in testing?
I've played with a 12 monster count before adding a small traptrix engine(2 myrmelo 1 dionea)
AvivPirate this is what I've been trying i.imgur.com/TmvQBKj.png also thanks for your insight
jason ramsay
i played fire fist for forever and all my lvl 4-centric builds have been somewhere between 12-14 monsters with consistency cards like dualities or upstarts depending on the meta it wasnt on purpose just kinda worked out that way
Yang zing are pretty good. Ill be playing them this format. Many players aren't familiar with them yet. They are a good sleeper pick.
I think Gorz at 2 has the potential to really hurt Monarchs, Batterymen, and Lightsworn. I'm surprised you didn't mention Koa'ki Meiru at all. Urknight and Crusader are the only "expensive" cards and they're like $7 and $5.
Love these top 10s man! Do one for the best decks of the format as a prediction like Nyhmnim did!
Sorry didn't watch the video first lol but still do that
Do I dare say it? ....morphtronic. I personally love the deck and there are some variants that can be really fast and consistent, except for banish cards power tool is very rough to get over with a couple equips. If I'm not mistaken they are also getting new support in either new challengers or the set after
nice video, you had a variety of decks and explained why they are good. My only critique is I would have liked to hear what you can build each of the decks for specifically and what few choice cards might have had a problem to get.
But yeah I'd love to see and build some of these in the future
You forgot fire kings. #freemyniggafishborgblaster
No... Fishborg should stay where he is ^^
Drain Blackwings. List was pretty good.
G I think you should make your own top 10 decks of the format I don't think nymmnim's video was very good over half the video was just him saying "SYLVANS AREN'T DEAD I SWEAR" because he plays Sylvans and is biased, plus it would just be interesting to hear your opinion even if his video was accurate
Plus he had Madolches at #10 despite the deck at least being worthy of #5 or #6. I'd like to see CapG do his own top 10 overall. Nyhimm's list was meh to say the least
I knew it, Raigeki is good in Batteryman. Everybody was like: "No, it's bad, because destruction is bad"
All Raigeki does for the deck is let you OTK easier because you don't have to waste Fuel Cell's effect. But still though, destruction IS bad. There's a reason why TT and BTH have been dropped.
Still, OTKs ftw.
no, raigeki is bad
It is not. It doesn't matter if they get card advantage if they are OTK'd
MasterQuestMaster
it's that mentality that makes batterymen a bad deck in the first place
MegaCapitalG You forgot Scraps or Pendulum Scraps
Yang-Zing's aren't Skill Drain dependent at all. In fact, if you're running pure Yang-Zing's I would actually recommend against running SD. The ability to synchro summon on your opponents turn is one of the most unique mechanics introduced to the game in quite a while in my opinion. When you run SD in YZ you have to be EXTREMELY cautious and choosy about which sequence you're SS'ing your YZ's to your side of the field during your opponents turn, so that next turn you can synchro summon the monster you want to, if you make one mistake, or accidentally try to use the same YZ effect in the same turn, you're screwed. When you don't run SD, you can choose the monsters you want as your opponent destroys them and SS in the middle of their battle phase. This unique mechanic allows them to get around a Pleiades bounce, it allows them to get past The Monarchs Storm Forth, it allows them to get past anything that targets other than maybe Super Polymerization targeting your Chiwen, causing your opponent to neg because their cards effect will fizzle and it forces them to stop mid battle phase and pass turn. You then have a synchro monster and the ability to go off again for the counter on your turn. Yang-Zing's are a lot better than people give them credit for, a lot of people just run them incorrectly giving them a bad rep.
I think that U.A' a are super under rated right and I would watch out for them
I've beaten the new big 4 (neckroz, shaddoll, Qli, Burning Abyss) with that deck, it's a lot of fun and I plan on bringing it to regionals
You forgot about gravekeeper's and Necrovaley
MADOLCHES
and yes, I love the deck.
yeah i've done numbers with Tiaramisu and madolches and from what i've learned if Tiaramisu's effect goes off, without a hitch, you have a 90% chance of winning the game. 90%!!! that's a huge percentage for a deck that can easily get her out in less than 2 turns. plus if you can easily main 3 Vanity's though, in my experience with the deck, i would side Vanity's for games 2-3.
Basically buy YZ now for the investment and hope Konami delivers on the promise to help them get to high status in 2015. You don't want to be the guy who wanted to play the deck but didn't want to pick it up until they get their OMFGWTFBBQDESU support and turns the rest of the deck into a gold mine in order to build it.
Sylvans are horribly slower with 1 soul charge. You ran 3 because you wanted to excavate and take advantage of your trees and sages in grave to make felgrand/draco asap first turn while sitting on your vanity's/trap stun. You don't want that life before soul charge when going off meant playing peaskeeper to yolo back into lonefire blossom before you got into your miracle fert play.
As of monarch variants, I play jank burn abyss. Yes the lack of dante utterly blows but you can just use the monarchs trade off with your opponents and then in G2-3, sitting on Vanity's fiend/majesty's fiend and being able to protect them or even a jinzo just to troll your opponent who has committed his backrow while you beat them down is sort of hilarious.
You overlook monarchs stormforth in batterymen. You cannot wall them off with 2 monsters if they have the setup with monarchs stormforth and charger in hand. Especially if those monsters don't float and you have no traps that chain to the trap stun.
Madolches still have issues but probably are the low level combo deck after infernity getting nerfed. Its still pretty much flip trap stun/lance/chalice and go off. Good hands are winnable hands and bad hands... well just hope your opponent has it worst.
Honestly though, honorable mention to Prophecy/spellbook which when NECH comes along, can also use the shaddoll engine. Spellbook of life is live and can be used in 2 or 3 if for adventurous players. Its not even that the deck has to use spellcasters but it can access the fusion toolbox of shaddolls for even more control.
I brought a Amazoness deck, cost me just over £20. not competitive but I still love it.
I think Madolches are an amazing deck still. They have room to run triple MST and Triple wiretap, as well as 2 of each hand, and since Qliphorts almost rely on Skill drain, it kinda ruins their day. Then you can just shuffle their two pendulum zone cards with tiara and they kinda cry. BA, you can just floodgate and use chain dissappearance. Shaddolls you can floodgate, but they're so explosive that the second your floodgate goes down they can make a comeback. Overall though, I think Madolches, if played right, are still like tier 1.5-2.
I loved my Madolche deck and I completely agree with them being in the number 1 spot. But I just traded them along with a few other cards for Satellaknights and I feel like it was a good trade on my part. My 1st day playing them I topped locals (not saying much but meh, still kinda cool) would've taken 1st place but I got hit by royal tribute all 3 games against the Gravekeeper player I lost to.... Anyways awesome video and I completely agree with your list.
MegaCapitalG you forgot to add cyber dragons and ancient gears
Nice Bujin ritual you got there.
MegaCapitalG wattup dude. Is that Bujin Akuma card the real deal? he would open up sooo many combos for the deck
Lightsworn and Fire fist are the best choices
I'm really excited to see Fire Fist and Bujin on the list; those are my two main decks. I'm really interested to see how well +1 Beast-Warriors do against +1 Warriors this format. Wolfbark and Tenki versus Altair and Deneb sounds like a really interesting match.
Also, how come you decided not to put Spellbooks on the list? You said it yourself that banishing is better than sending stuff back to the deck, and as far as easily banishing cards Spellbook of Fate is really one of the best choices out there.
Altair/deneb flat out win still. COTH end phase altair, bring out vega, plunk deneb sets you for a deltaco play in your turn even without a normal summon yet. I think plus-1 fire fist should go the way with integrating Artifacts. It sounds silly but the deck plays cards that accommodate both engines anyway. Now not only do you get plussing, but disruption as well.
Key word: budget.
How about Chain Burn?
Would've gotten this video instant dislikes .
Hieratic Dragons, Harpies, and Cloudians are all missing from this list. I think Hieratic Dragons are literally the best budget deck of the format. Rank 6 and Rank 8(Edit: Also Rank 4. I do run 101, Exciton knight, and Abyss Dweller) spam with a side of Star Eater and Leo make for an explosive deck that is just hard to deal with. I run a pure hieratic dragon deck(3 Tefnuit, 3 Eset, 3 Nebthet, 3 SotSDO, 2 Gebeb, 2 Lab Drag, 1 Su, and 1 Asar.) with two of each of the hands.(NO, I do not use the dragon rulers)
Cloudians?
lolwut. I like cloudians as much as the next guy but even in the new variants of the deck it doesn't stand a ghost of a chance.
"Top 10 budget"
Watts. searchers and hand advantage for days. Stalling, giving no fucks where the discards go, still attacking direct with light mirrors out and searching with sea horses. Giraffes into m2 Raigeki's and excitons. the deck is outstanding.
Mecha Phantom Beasts are a little slow, but Raigeki will be no problem for them.
Where r fire kings?
Mermail is budget, other than a couple cards in the extra deck
i was able to find all the cards for a 40 card spellbook deck for $230ish. side and extra too.
Sending back to MAIN DECK is actually better than banishing seeing that the DDD type is coming out. Next best thing is sending the card back to the DECK BOX!
Usually true. But you have to take into account the re-use of extra deck monsters. Or easily searchable main deck power houses.
No Ojamas? :(
x-sabers .. that is all
cyber dragons are very budget friendly :o
i calculated mines and its less than $130 USD (without a zenmaioh /cry)
I actually think battery man can be higher on this list it's so underrated
I like the thumbnail :D
How about Noble Knights? With rota at three its a nice deck and I can see them being pretty budget, especially with the box sets coming out.
Vanities will probably be reprinted in LC5D
I feel like gishi deserve a honorable mention
That Worm Yagan tho!
Constellars are great but depending on the extra deck it can get spendy
Six Sam's.. When it comes to Six Samurai you're either really good or really bad & no in between, but when it comes to budget it's consistant.
Madolche much love.
You forgot Crystal Beasts, they are quite literally just below being a competitive deck.
Evols are $60 including extra deck.
Come on man. Mermail gotta be on here
I run the nordic deck with cardcar d and magician of faith, I think it could do good on this current format depending on what you have to support it.
in bujin 1 soul charge is still really good
ive been running the same 2012 six sam build for 2 1/2 years and have pulled off countless otks now that rota is at 3 the deck dominates the only problem being the eay i built it its more offensive so when playing lightsworns or firefists the deck does have trouble but does come out on top for the most par other than that i find its super consistant quick and can get over all types of different obsticles put in its way. i usually average 7200 lp damage on my first turn wile going second which leads to a forfit their next turn.
I think you forgot about the Geargia structure deck
No Battlin' Boxer?
I love how he doesn't count the extra deck for this list, and other than monarchs, the rest of this list NEEDS an extra deck to be good. And a winnable deck with expensive cards.
Raigeki doesn't help Bujincarnation plays... Need to control no monsters anyway, so Dark Hole is same if not better.
2 things
1. Glow up does nothing for Sylvans, they already have two better 1 star tuners (spore and copy plant) Glow up does nothing for the deck since its a mill, not an excavate. plus the deck cares more about XYZ summons than synchro summons, which spore and copy plant can also do both easily
2. no one in their right mind would play Gorz in Monarchs, they run too many continuous magic and trap cards to make him live most of the time
I fucks wit 3 wolf bark
Burning Abyss is budget if you play 1 dante.
No love for Cyber Dragons? $60 and plays like a champ.
Madolche seem promising. I feel like it has potential to a certain extent. Although they are too vulnerable to DH, and Raigeki and V Emptiness. Players can still find their way around them. feel like maining gorz or tragodia will protect you meanwhile you set up your plays since you always have hand advantage. Side deck should be obvious. The 7th place regional makes me feel like keeping it. Lol
On emptiness; Madolche players should be maining triple MST and triple trap stun this format
Bujin Ritual?? Is that the future support card coming out?
Maybe Prophecy if they can side nutty vs Space Jews (Qlipoth)
I'm surprised Madolche makes the list for a "budget" deck.
LS Rulers should be #1 just on the principle that you could build it for like $40 if you really wanted and still sack the shit out of people with $300+ decks
What about Noble Knight? ROTA is going to 3 and they will soon get a lot of new support! :-)
there is a way to win through emptiness, you can use it against your opponant via princess and spore ;) dirty dirty cards
Wait Fire Kings have 3 wolfbark now and not on this list...WUT!!!!
6:55 none of the monsters in evilswarm float??? ummm thunderbird is a card and infestation infection is also a card that makes the monsters pseudo-floaters. Yesterday i saw a satellarknight player (OTS top 8) lose to evilswarms because he had light-imprisoning + infection and that made the game really hard for them (hence. cuz his monsters floated).
How are evols not on this list? It falls into the budget category and is better than half of these decks.
when are you making more duel vids?
My harpie's ain't gettin' any lovin' from no one but me.......:(
Spirits and Chain Beat. Also Madolches get destroyed by shaddol Winda
yang zing is fucking expensive
evilswarm swag
$105 for Emptiness playset.
forgot hieratic and ghostrick
You didn't seem to get the point... You use carnation, then Raigeki... You can't do that with Dark Hole...
No one thinks dragunity are good..... But Idc its cheaper for me to get the cards
Qliphort hunting ground
i'm playing madolche and i know what do you mean but...man...it's very difficult to find a good build for this deck
You should put an image of the build of the decks that you are making for $150, because they're either a) complete shit b) worth more than $150
What the fuck are you talking about Madolches are not budget xD
At least for us here in Brazil lol
according to TCG player Magilieine = $8.50 x3 (25.50) and Anjelly = $16.38 x3 (49.14). The rest of the the Madolche cards combined probably cost less than $10.
MegaCapitalG Cool... Here we didn't get return of the duelist so Magilene goes around $35 x(
So buy our cards
Brett Bauer They don't ship to Brazil. Like, two days ago, I was going to buy an exciton knight for $20. Here in Brazil it goes around $100 if you convert the Reais but they couldn't ship here so yeah.
MegaCapitalG madolches are over 150. The extra deck alone is almost 100.
Blackwing :)
Take out monarchs and plant variants and put mermail and spellbook
Somewhere in the nix
no agent love? dang
Evolsaur could be in this list
$150 isn't really budget deck to me lol
You can build sacksworns with only the bare essentials in the extra deck for 40$.
Fire kings only have a some what bad matchup against abyss
where are my superheavy samurai's??
Fire kings can play so many floodgates it's unreal skill drain vanity's light mirror shadow mirror dirge they are by far the best budget deck cuz they play floodgates too well
The only friend I know who owns batterymen has then from before they were playable. They are almost impossible to find, much less cheaply and shouldn't be on the list.
I guess Mermail is still a thing.
