      Man, you're so right, imagine this: the opponent destroyed your Giant Rat with a BEWD, then you Summon your Key Card: Beaver Warrior, then in your turn you use Giant Trunade to get rid of those pesky Traps, then you activate Gaia Power and Wild Nature's Release and suddenly where is that Blue Eyes, I answer to you, in the Graveyard, BOOM! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

      It's always nice to put 3 of these in your deck and get them on your first turn. Put in a anti spell card and reap the rewards in a measly 3 turns.

    • @grizzlybear6377
      @grizzlybear6377 Před 8 lety +1

      Wave Motion Cannon is definitely an op card. I almost forgot about it till it was mentioned. If you and an opponent are dueling using 8000 LP and you keep Wave Motion Cannon on the field for 8 turns, that baby is a insta-kill!!! XD

    • @vishnar2009
      @vishnar2009 Před 8 lety +5

      4 turns "if" you take it all literally, or 2 if you're an ass with the rules, the card states (at least the version of the card I have) "place 1 token on this wave motion cannon for EACH standby phase" there are 4 stand by phases a TURN, 2 during your move, and 2 during theirs. but that's if you want to be technical and really grind it in lol.

    • @baconsir1159
      @baconsir1159 Před 8 lety

      That's not the major issue. Infernoids with Tierra, BA with fusion Dante, left arm offering, and blue-eyes with new support using 5-headed dragon (namely for stones) is the problem

    • @Minon157

  • @humblesir5880
    @humblesir5880 Před 8 lety +23

    The video isn't bad it just misses a lot of really broken cards. Cards that are so degenerate that is surprising they didn't make the list. Future Fusion, Giant Trunade (Which is better than Feather Duster in my opinion), Cold Wave, Ultimate Offering etc

    • @VixXstazosJOB
      @VixXstazosJOB Před 8 lety

      the cards in the list seem actually even more broke.... maybe in a top 15'ish or something XD

    • @JV-hn2zb
      @JV-hn2zb Před 8 lety +7

      In what situation is Giant Trunade better than HFD?

    • @humblesir5880
      @humblesir5880 Před 8 lety +5

      Well you can't chain cards that would negate destruction so it is extremely hard to counter, it allows you to reuse continuous spells and traps over again, and allows you to replay different pendulum zones

    • @VixXstazosJOB
      @VixXstazosJOB Před 8 lety +2

      cause destruction stopped being broken like AGES ago and it's easily stopped.... also Trunade is way better than Heavy Storm cause you can reuse or cycle your stuff and abuse them

    No mention of Brionac? It arguably single handedly got Premature Burial banned and from the time of its release to its 2011 ban about the only major deck that didn't play it that I can think of was Disaster Dragons who were a pure Dragon deck to keep Totem Dragon live, and even without the Premature Burial OTKs could on its own clear you opponent's board.

    • @NFITC1
      @NFITC1 Před 7 lety +1

      The only reason feather duster is on the list and not Raigeki is probably because of the Anti-Raigeki card. The Anti-Raigeki card is so specific, though, that even having one in your deck is stupid. You just have to know that your opponent even has a Raigeki AND you have to lay the trap before they play Raigeki.

    I really don´t see why rescue cat can´t come back, I mean there´s that one super inconsistent FTK and it is kind of splashable I guess but all decks that could use it are super irrelevant right now

    • @alexherzfeld260
      @alexherzfeld260 Před 8 lety +2

      If Cat were to come back, Konami would have to make sure that every lv3 or lower beast type monster that comes out in the future is garbage. Look at Etele, and how that card became broken the moment Konami started printing relevant low level psychic-type monsters again? Cat blows Etele out of the water. Yes, Cat wouldn't make an impact now, but it would become broken the moment Konami started printing new meta-relevant low level beast types.

    • @eed0018
      @eed0018 Před 8 lety

      That my friend is called planning ahead, you know kind of how there was nothing that straight up searched low attack generic spellcasters because of exodia,and no The cat while being a plus one is well good, it is still a monster and those are kind of easy to stop, plus if someone maxx C´s RC they actually get some neat pluses , the only actual argument that can be presented against it is the fact that if he goes to 1 a certain ftk becomes a thing that can happen less often than monarchs brick, then again there are monsters that are legit immune to all of the things so i think its not that big a deal.

    @Keelyn1984 Před 8 lety

    You could have also mentioned that it was popular to use the Chaos Emperor Dragos Effect to set up the Yata-lock. This was rather simple to do. Have a Sangan/Witch on the board or special summon it. Pay the 1000 life to destroy everything and search for the Yata in your deck. Your opponent is left with 0 resources and is not allowed to draw anything.
    Doing this was theoretically possible from the first turn you were allowed to attack. All that mattered was how fast you can draw the emperor dragon. This wasn't even the only win condition of Chaos decks. They had loads of other stuff, like Black Luster Soldier, too. These decks used to be so dominant that they had to start to use the forbidden list and ban away the 3 monsters (Chaos Dragon, BLS, Yata).

    In my list, Spellbook of Judgment and Chaos Emperor Dragon are the most broken cards ever created for two opposite reasons. If I'm not mistaken, Spellbook of Judgment can net you the largest plus of any Yugioh card ever printed (Sixth Sense and Dimension Fusion can net you maxes of plus 5s and Judgment would typically give you plus 7-10s). And I think CED is without question the most powerful monster in existence. For what it does it is unquestionable.

    When I was a kid yugioh was really expensive and only rich people had decks equivalent to the American meta. A good times.

    One of my favourites is El Shaddoll Construct, brought out then almost immediately banned, it destroys any special summoned monster it battles (before damage calculation though so no one takes a hit to the life points, but it was brought out right as pendulum decks were really taking off) when its summoned you can send one shaddoll monster to the graveyard from your deck (which can result in a stupidly long chain of effects if you know what your doing) and when it is eventually put down it gives you back a shadoll spell/trap from the graveyard (so you can summon another one if you want)

    I felt like Fiber Jar could have been on this list. It's a game reset apart from life points and banished cards for no cost, and all you have to do it set it face-down on your side of the field. And I believe it recycles itself. On top of that, it can also drag out tournament matches to a draw by itself. I don't think Fiber Jar will ever be bad.

  • @AjeetSingh-xq4yb
    @AjeetSingh-xq4yb Před 8 lety

    Ok here is my Top 10 (no particular order) but some are added together as they were most often used or could be used together.1. Imperial order - prevented most outs to it such as heavy storm, MST. Also can be turned off at will and is deadly vs most decks that require a big board clear (raigeki dark hole) to setup for game winning plays.2. Delinquent Duo - Part of the holy trinity, could win you games off this alone and gives you crazy ++++, puts your opponent ad a BIG disadvantage for a mere 1000 LP.3. Graceful charity + painful choice - would make dark worlds tier infinity. PC gives them crazy pluses but isn't as splashable as GC which also gives them crazy advantage.4. Chaos emperor dragon - very low cost for a card that gives you way too much advantage. I wont put yata on this list because it was only viable through the lockdown with CED and at the time Witch of the black forest was still out which allowed you to get to yata easily.5. Change of heart - far too broken with no cost associated to it would help any type of deck xyz, synchro, fusion 6. Harpies feather duster/cold wave/heavy storm/trunade - splashable and makes for easy pushes for game7. D.fusion - a lot of decks play around banishing cards, this would make them even more broken allowing you to go for crazy xyz plays.8. Shock master - far too many decks can make this and it crushes your opponent as they will most likely have no outs if 2 of these were on the field.9. Royal oppression - same as in the video, setup big plays and stop your opponent from doing the same.10. Pot of greed - no list would be complete without this. easily the most splashable +1 in the game. problem is with these lists is that there are more than 10 cards on the banned list so I guess it comes down to opinion.

    Chaos dragon was for sure the cause of the ban list. Luckily I always killed it when it was summoned with solum judgement but if you had nothing to block that summoning it was a killer. I kind of miss painful choice, that was my victory card there. People were so confused at the cards I would choose for it that they always chose the wrong one for me to keep. The best part was them trying to figure out why I put the black luster solider envoy of the begining and barrel behind the door in there. I pretty much had black luster solider envoy of the beginning in there to kill it all the time. People feared it so I had it in there to mess with them if they say it but I hated it and wanted to see their face when I would summon it only to ring and barrel it. If I felt out classed by monsters and was only keeping up a solid defense my strategy was to get my ring of destruction and barrel behind the door together. There was a few times I made that a one turn kill combo and every time black luster solider had to die.

    Anyone making a list of "top broken yugioh cards" list should understand that powerful boss monsters are trash compared to true broken cards and must be left out.
    That being said, the true broken cards are those with infinite possibilities:
    Makyura: easily triggered effect, changes game rules.
    Disk commander: level 1 dark warrior with hero in its name, easily triggered and turns every reborn card into pot of greed.
    Brionac: multiple times per turn, send hands to grave, recycle cards from the field, fuels countless ftks.
    Lavalval chain: 2 level 4 monster =>send any card from deck to grave, fuels countless ftks.
    Future fusion: send any monster to grave, easily recyclable.
    Last will: easily allows u to search countless other broken cards from ur deck and put them into play on the field.
    Forceful sentry: acquires info, reduces opponent's resource, send back to deck is better than anywhere else.
    Imperial order: one side spell lock.

    1: Harpie's Feather Duster does not need to be on this list, it has a card that was invented as it's counter not to mention a number of other cards easily destroy it and one of which nearly everyone overlooks. One of my favorite traps, The Huge Revolution Is Over not just destroys it but banishes it too, making it harder to get back for reuse.
    2: There are other cards that negate special summons which is a good thing with all the overpowered monsters people special summon these days. So it's not OP.

It's not a game winning card, but it is free card advantage with no cost or downside to playing it. Even if it had read "Draw 1 card" it would still effectively reduce the size of your deck. If you had a card in Magic that read "Discard this card from your hand: Draw 1 card." every deck would run four. There is no reason not to run as many of the card as you can.
