- Lyrics:
Im central to nowhere
Thinking of sweeping it clean
When we choose to go were losing more than just our surroundings
Ive gone around the sides of this universe as it stands
Outside the limits of all existence
Where light never ends
We should be grateful to the gods
Whoever theyre real to they are
I value my placement as in Hell
Remember that moment that I fell
Anything that could one day be is as real as what Im saying
If something is nothing it must not be something in any possible way
Lose yourself in the far off worlds that are right under your feet
Switch below with above all the way up into infinity
We should be thankful who we are
Whether we know ourselves or not
Walking alongside myself
Neither of us listens very well
Im dreading a time that is not near
As a man on cross I have no fear I cant believe these words Im saying
You gotta feel your lines
You gotta feel your lines

The Empyrean is the tenth solo album by John Frusciante, scheduled to be released worldwide on January 20, 2009 through Record Collection. Frusciante does not plan on a following tour, as he instead wants to focus on writing and recording.
Frusciante asserts that the record "was recorded on and off between December 2006 and March 2008," and is a concept album that tells "a single story both musically and lyrically."[1] The Empyrean contains a version of Tim Buckley's, "Song To The Siren", from his 1970 album Starsailor. The record also features an array of collaborators and guest musicians including Frusciante's band mate Flea, and friends Josh Klinghoffer and Johnny Marr, among others. The album leaked onto the internet on January 13th, 2009. - Hudba
masterpiece...
John's music is the only one that makes me cry.
I think we can say that everything hes turned out has been pure bottled beauty
john's music is the only music that makes me cry :)
as deep as i could think to get
attached still to that silver cord
as high as i could feel but yet
not close to what I Am, my lord
The only problem of buying this album is that it will make you buy his past albums, you just can't get enough of his powerful music.
Buy the album peeps!
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THIS SONG IS SO FUCKING GOOD!
omg thank u thank u thank u..ive been lookin for the lyrics all over the internet...im gonna buy the CD anyway lol..thank very much again =)
john is beautiful.
good thing your back, jose!!!!
omg thanks for lyrics bro
Niesamowity utwór!!
This is the greatest album I have ever heard. This album is unlike anything you will ever hear. It makes me happy that through all of the shit music out today, there are a few artists like John who make quality music.
beautiful song!!
love it
the first half is amazing and the second half is double amazing :D
everything he does amazes me. his music is so powerful. i think this is my faveorite off of the empryan.
Its amazing, truely one of the best
The lyrics are wrong thought IMO
They are::
You gotta feel your lines
You gotta free your mind
These change over and over, sometimes it will be feel your lines x 2 but other times it will be free your mind, if you listen closely
very good song
JF is great
Johns lyrics just speak to me... like only me and him understand
❤ yeah wow
hes been a god solo artist since the 90s. this is what his 9th album or something like that.
Great album. The Empyrean and Shadows Collide With People are tied for the title of best album.
JF music only for people who have a great taste of music....god bless John Frusciante and his fans
the reason I'm on earth is to listen to this music...
Actually, forget that, i received the album today and read the sleeve notes. OMG this album is something else. Listen to God and Unreachable. This is my favorite on the LP though!
Well, because I'm spanish-taking i cant understand well the lirics, but i think this is one of the best songs i have heard.
fukin amazing
you gotta feel your lines, indeed.
i just wrote a critic about this album of frusciante last week on ultimate guitar web site , and decide to dowload..... is freaking fantastisc, genious work,
i like rhcp but this is just supreme.
when will he start to play live thought?
My favourite, as much as a divide in art can be, man, for any one man or woman, epitomises musical genius to me, and, I believe, an act of freedom lyrically. (My philosophy is different from John but he's great!)
yes, ''music the great comunicator''
i just want to see him perform at least once before its too late
@MikeyNL1038 hey can u pm where i can buy this album i cant find it on itunes
@MikeyNL1038 I got to say this version seems different to me too. Listen at 4:35 when this other baseline begins, seems its lower in mix (in other version you can hear it louder).
@TheLordHodne It's "I'm dreading a time that is not near". To dread means to be aprehensive or frightened of some future happening. A time that is not near is in the future so I guess it just means he is fearful of what will happen in the future.
The emotion in his songs are bi-lingual
I Was Listening To This Song Today And My Mom Told Me To Turn The Volume Down. Which Is Simply Impossible And Comparable To Puting A Tarp Over A Da Vinci Painting.
A W E S O M E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Fuckin' genius
god knows what this songs about but whatever it's about what a song it is, not only was he a god in the red hot chili peppers best band evr in my opinion but now he is a god solo
Amazing song...I think this song is about the struggle of Jesus picking up the cross and bearing it like a man of human flesh. Simply put. But that's just my interpretation.
Curtains was good, but I prefer "Inside of Emptiness." That would be my next choice. Also, "The Will to Death" was amazing.
exactly same speed.
"Before the Beginning" - 9:09
"Song to the Siren" (Tim Buckley, Larry Beckett) - 3:33
"Unreachable" - 6:10
"God" - 3:23
"Dark/Light" - 8:30
"Heaven" - 4:03
"Enough of Me" - 4:14
"Central" - 7:16
"One More of Me" - 4:06
"After the Ending" - 3:38
@BelieveTheWater I dont think that John Fruciante think of himself is Jesus or God, but he understand in his emotional feeling that God or jesus is real in our life...
What does: " i'm dreading out of time" means?
Can someone explain? I'm obviously not english, i'm a student who wants to learn english ;)
John Frusciante always mentions in his songs things that sujest hes Jesus. I think he just might be...
@rvinclan It stops me from crying lol
@harvestsoulfly
I don't wanna sound like a expert, cuz i'm definitly not, but he is a for a long time been a buddhist ( u can read it on wikipedia). Other than that, he deny that there is a " God" who has created everything, but believes the Nature has different powers and is incredibly complex. He does a interview where he talks about it, just search on youtube if u are interested. Whatever he is, it's the greatest religion in the world..
6:12
Fru = God? He looks enough like Jesus anyways :P
Seriously though, this track is my fave. It relays so much onto the listener, providing the listener is open-minded.
lastima que el disco no salio en argentina :(
@TheLordHodne I dont believe in the God the way that the church is teaching us! However that doesnt mean that i dont believe in the God! There is a force in this universe so strong beyond our most vivid dreams! Find you innerself, dont trust everything society tells you to, humanity knows better.
it is funny that you said that he is next to hendrix, if you didnt know it or not which you probably do, john idolized hendrix, and wanted to be exactly like him
@jose6869 wow man what happened?
Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple
this is a different version then the album, bit slower, just as great though
Curtains? I think so.
@TheLordHodne Really? I was wondering...everything says he won't say or he's a polytheist w/animism. But the things he says and his lyrics sound A LOT like my mother who is very Buddist and at times a tiny bit like my deceased stepfather, a Taoist. btw, I KNOW he still exists, he lets me know when Im in need No I'm not crazy It makes no sense for him to exist as him according to his beliefs (?) but I know he does and now he must too Key point: neither of them think of their beliefs as "religion"
that must be john's dad but i'm not sure
But John it is...
@timeoutatoz Yeah cuz money is evil and stuff. Down with corporations brah!
FIRST! lol
@timeoutatoz If he'd do it for free, then he would have done it for free.
He's very religious but won't say what it is. I'm curious.
as deep as i could think to get
attached still to that silver cord
as high as i could feel but yet
not close to what I Am, my lord
