John inspired me to get clean, I started really getting into the rhcp when I was in my deepest part of addiction. I had terrible abscess' on both my arms just like him, and when I saw he got through his addiction, it inspired me to get clean. God bless you John!

So here's a man who could easily shred a guitar, come up with a kick-ass solo, in front of a million crowd chanting at him, with one of the best rock bands of all time... who chooses not to do so and sing a lovely song in his livingroom. There's a lesson to be learnt here.
This song was released when he was recording for Stadium Arcadium. This was released on the 1st of Feb, 2005 ; Stadium Arcadium was recorded from Sep, 2004 to Dec, 2005 and released 9th of May, 2006 according to the wikipedia article on Stadium Arcadium. I think you would be correct if this was released after he quit the band.
An acoustic, uncool song (poor quality upload) has 10mil views. It is NOT underrated. He's one of the most celebrated and loved musicians in the world. Yeah, it has less than Gangnam style but what do you expect? Millions people all over the world listen to him every day, just enjoy ^^
dave oh the music he makes now is not music to ears, trust me...he admitted to it too, he said he makes them just to please himself not to make it sound good and pleasing for others...i just hope he come around and start making good music like he used to make.
Anoun Thau sorry, but i trust no one... also, i'm happy that john is making music to please himself; that's way better than making music to please an audience, or to just make money... you are entitled to your opinion, but john is making great music today... if you don't like it, fine; just don't listen to it...
He was playing songs he wrote in front of millions of people with one of the greatest live bands in rock and roll history. He gave it all up to write saccharine sweet Cat Stevens sound alike songs in his living room. So if you're writing songs in your living room dreaming of hitting the big time, relax, you may not realize it yet, but you've already made it.
THe best thing about this man is that he recorded every single sound on all of this albums by himself alone in his studio. Every guitar strum, every vocal, harmonica everything. He is very talented.

Heard this song through my ceiling when my housemate was listening to it in the room above me. I could only make out the guitar but immediately texted my roommate to ask him what this beautiful sound I was hearing was. That was the first time I ever heard John Frusciante and a year and a half later I have listened to him every day.
This guy’s been through so much. He’s such a good soul, and he’s done such a job in finding a place of balance and peace again. He’s such a vessel for human expression, this song is a vibration from his heart and his soul. It’s beautiful, the video is beautiful. It’s perfect and I’m crying
John is quite possibly the closest thing to a perfect human being. All his flaws and past mistakes are what make him perfect. He’s a true musical genius and I believe those are rare and precious. I just feel grateful that one has come along during my lifetime.
holy fucking cow, this has to be the best artist around nowadays, he has that soul that most guitarists forgot about a long time ago, a sweet voice too, yesss, yessssss, he's extraordinary
I wonder if he ever took time to look at himself and noticed how many goals he has reached and be graceful for it. I mean he has an unique style of guitar playing, but he wants to make weird techno stuff instead.

"Just to keep changing all the time, just to keep trying to constantly redefine myself" - John Frusciante. This man truly has life figured out. Change is the law of life, and John Frusciante knows that first hand. What a truly amazing artist and human being.
Any person listening to this masterpiece, who is a little alone but not lonely, who is content with what is happening?, who has lived and seen and gone through some shit but is still emerging strong?, Anyone there 🫶💪
Twenty years being a heroin addict I discovered John three years ago and his story his music and his haunting ability to Express pain and sorrow coming out of his soul through that guitar actually incredible im 1 year and three months sober thank you John for making me feel that I was not alone through all of this you saved my life John

Can we all just stop for a minute and appreciate everything this man has given us... No bullshit I've been playing guitar since I was 9 (18 now) and John is the reason I ever picked up a guitar WOW he has changed my life more then my own parents, in my view.. this man is a god, it would be my dream to meet such an amazing person
And because of people like you, he doesn't want to be known... Why can't you just be happy that he's around? Listen to his music and you will know. Peace
Me da mucha nostalgia verlo en este video así solito, feliz y relajado en su vida cotidiana, haciendo buena música como siempre. Espero este 2017 siga sano, en paz y creando mucha más música aparte de producir a Black Knights.
" We will keep listening John, who cares about youtube's stupid copyrights..John's music is for every single person on this earth...enjoy ;) " Nice words there man !
There are few songs that make you want to fully open yourself to them, listen to them not only with your ears, but with your whole body and soul, leaving yourself completely vulnerable. This is one of those songs. A work of absolute genius and infinite love for music.
This guy is literally the reason why i started playing guitar and am still playing and have been for the last 8 years and i just turned 14 today and this is like a birthday song to me. This guy is solo underrated and un-known . He is as good a guitarist as hendrix (not just cause i am a big fan) because of his technical skills and his super amazing abilities to play a guitar. # 1 solo -- " Don't Forget Me " Red hot chili peppers - LIVE ( amazing solo )
+Pedestal fan Nah Man, I don't think it's necessarily a BAD thing to say that Bro.. I mean, they are ALL Absolutely AMAZING Musicians themselves & as individuals, you know..? Like Flea - There's VERY Few Musicians who're On-Par with his musical ability & Talent, & Chad Smith is Fantastic too Man, but as far as being an Absolutely INTEGRAL piece to the band, to where they would just BE & SOUND like something else entirely WITHOUT them, I would DEF say that Fruiscante is One of those pieces man, for sure.. BUT, That being said, I ALSO completely believe the same of Anthony Keidis as well. His Way of writing music, his subject matter, & his voice are ALL Heeeeavy Defining features of their band, you know..?? I mean, you can't say that you could see the band going on WITHOUT him, could you.. Prooobably Not I'd say.
This is one guy who's music touches the soul. His guitar is just a way of expressing his feelings. Rhcp wil nvr be the same. Dear can't b any1 to replace him !
John`s music always reminds me of why I play and started my band in the first place. Music that shows what art and true expression is all about. So it`s not surprising that there is still a big self-made John Frusciante poster in our studio reminding us of always following our own musical instincts. much love!
I love his soft voice. He's an amazing artist and I'm so glad he became clean. He is way more talented after he went to rehab and he can be really proud at himself to accomplish this. Great he's back in RHCP
John has released his first music video in 11yrs. I came back here, as I often do, to relish in this beautiful song. It's 2020 and things are weird. John is one of the few bright spots. Hopefully whomever is reading this in future has seen the Peppers w/John again and life is back to normal. Here's hoping
In my opinion hendrix is the best guitar player of all time because his playing moves my soul to a different place and my mind opens up to diferent dimensions but frusciante's just makes a connection with me. like two souls embracing a moment in time and space. Its like if his music just grabs my hand and takes me to this ride of emotions and feelings and that is why he is one of my favorites along with hendrix.
Someone should definitely make a movie based on his life.
Someone tried, but it was a crazy fan, who ended up having a restriction order from John.
+Mer Feraine She was a stalker, lol. Creepy! xD
polinoble i w8 this fr a long time,,somthing like kiedis..

He wrote this song while he was still in the band, so...
okyoulot They felt this was shit and were reluctant to record this as a RHCP song.
Sure but it's about not wanting to be famous as a rock star because as he claimes in an interview it's like being a nothing

About anything and everything

the guy is a genious ... one of a kind , one of those chosen to reach souls in this hectic and spiritless world.
Peace
aleluya 2022
I still here.. thanks for this John
John to Piękny Człowiek i wspaniały muzyk😊❤
“I can’t play it safe, but I might just incase.” This is too relatable 😅
John, your spirit and talent is immeasurable.
Que hermoso hombre! no puedo ver más q un ser hermoso con un alma más linda aun! ❤
I'm completely ecstatic he's BACK!!!!!
this guy is the definition of art
" We will keep listening John, who cares about youtube's stupid copyrights..John's music is for every single person on this earth...enjoy ;) "
Nice words there man !
Definitivamente, ninguém constrói melodias tão bonitas quanto o John...
There are few songs that make you want to fully open yourself to them, listen to them not only with your ears, but with your whole body and soul, leaving yourself completely vulnerable. This is one of those songs. A work of absolute genius and infinite love for music.
Pure genius, no other artist in music touch my soul like him. Thanks JF!!!
This guy put the Peppers at their best... I hate to say it, but it's true.
Why do you hate to say it, it's the truth.
+George Xanthopoulos Well, I guess because I love the chili as a whole.
That's nothing for the Peppers to be ashamed of. Frusciante would put any band at their best.
+Mitchell Moore haha good read. I get it man.
This is one guy who's music touches the soul. His guitar is just a way of expressing his feelings. Rhcp wil nvr be the same. Dear can't b any1 to replace him !
His music make me feel so good , bless you Frusciante.
This Soul ...really touch my soul ❤
He is BACK TO THE PEPPERS!
He's just so adorable and endearing in this video, I can't handle it. Just love him. What a visionary, and so inspiring!
He's so beautiful
Thanks John, for being alive and improving my days ❤
i love everything you do, but i'm so happy you're back ♥️
Oh god I always cant help but cry whenever I hear or watch his solo albums. Its so overwhelming! 😘😘😘🙏💓
This is the type of song that would sound at the end of a movie, or a cool tv show. Its an awesome song... (:
John is one of these artists that is not enough with admire him, you gotta love him.
John Frusciante is the reason that i will never give up on music on life on searching. What a great artist and human being. Thx John🎸
My 4 year old son (Kurt) tells everyone that he is John Frusciante :p
+blaine wiggins I'm 21 and I do the same
+Ренат Габдуллин lmao
Wonder if the real John does the same
+blaine wiggins Me too and i can be his father ;) lol
+blaine wiggins Congratulations!.Your'e a great parent.
Holy shit? 3 million views and no airtime whatsoever? John, you are god.
Happy b-day John, you are the man
....aaaaaand he's back!!!
i am so happy he is still alive, true spirit
John has released his first music video in 11yrs. I came back here, as I often do, to relish in this beautiful song. It's 2020 and things are weird. John is one of the few bright spots. Hopefully whomever is reading this in future has seen the Peppers w/John again and life is back to normal. Here's hoping
next week baby
Thank you for this beautiful song sir john 👏👏
This is the song that got me into John's music. I'm glad I found this
Love this man and his great music ❤
This world was so different when I started playing guitar.
I started with guitar tabs
What do you mean?
I keep coming back to this song year after year and it never gets old. Such talent in this man, and such a good song. Thanks John
saw his performance at the vegas concert, so glad he's back, awesome performance, he's the best!!
I'm in love with this man's soul. I feel so connected to him through his music...like he knows me. Is that weird? Lol
Pure class
I miss John 💕
John Frusciante inspired me to learn more about and explore music and find myself. a truly great artist.
