Her death, Michael’s, Amy’s, etc. are all testaments to the sheer fact that people are judgmental as hell! It’s so easy to judge a superstar and to take their gift to the world for granted, BUT the moment they die... suddenly people are reminded of how great and awesome they were, and they claim that they’ve always loved them. Truth be told, the public gets bored easily, and they don’t respect the people who gave the world their all, and in return, they got nothing.

Jennifer did a damn good job. Why are people saying folks waited to say something nice about Whitney after she died? That's not true. People ALWAYS said something wonderful about her even when she was alive. In fact, in some folks minds, Whitney never needed a comeback, because she never left. Just like us fans, close friends and other singers were steadily hopeful and certain that she would be back stronger than ever. And now she's at peace. R.I.P.

Whitney was one of a kind. We all know that. And Jennifer is also charting a path for herself toward greatness (she has an amazing vocal instrument). I can’t imagine being asked to pay tribute at such a public event hours after the death of your idol. The fact she even kept it together-let alone gave a heart wrenching performance (which she did)-is shocking. RIP Nippy 🙏🏾
Jennifer Hudson did a fantastic song. I love the fact that she sung it in her own style and not trying to sound like Whitney Houston, as a musician and an artist to try and sing another musicians song and sound the same would be very disgraceful. RIP Whitney your voice and love has touched many. You can now kick your heels back and relax with the other greats that have passed on.

I think a lot of it has to do with Hollyweird, star-struck Drs/MDs, and what seems to be the state’s lack of control on Rx dispensing, which allows people to Dr shop and get many Rxs, without any sort of restrictions. The state I live in has all pharmacies enter Rxs in a statewide computer system, which restricts multiple Rxs, for the same meds from being dispensed! It’s a built-in safety measure. CA needs something similar, esp for the Hollywood types, who seem to frequently abuse Rx drugs!!
Why all these famous great signers didn't say" Whitney I love you" before Whitney got close to the abysm?? Whitney would still be with us today!!!
After this Grammy Award was very hard for me to ever watch another Grammy Award ceremony. I mean Whitney used to be intertwined with these shows.. 2 or 3 song medleys.. she was the feature of the night.

It's strange that they didn't show CELINE DION in this montage. Celine was the closest contemporary of Whitney's to honor her that night by singing The Greatest Love of All. That's 1/3 of the Vocal Trinity (the other two being Whitney herself and Mariah Carey) and they didn't feel the need to mention Celine?!
Because Celine is not American and Mariah Carey has too different type of voice to sing Whitney song, I guess.

Although J Hud did a good job on that song, it gives us an example of just how amazing Whitney's voice really was at her peak. If you put both singers side by side, singing the same song. There would really be no comparison in a neutral situation

Addiction is a disease that can only be addressed by the addict WHEN the addict wants help. It is no one's fault. Whitney had a disease and she thought "she had it" under control. PLENTY of people reached out and tried to help her. It really sucks that so many people are ignorant about the disease of addiction. Just pray for those who are sick and suffering. That is ALL that can usually be done.

Her Mom did intercede bringing a Sheriff to Whitney's home with her. That is the 1st time she checked into Rehab. Instead of placing the blame on others which is so easy to do. The main person who lost to drugs was the very person who could not say no to them. It was up to her to end her drug use and no one else. It was her decision to start using them not Bobby Brown's. It was all her.
Whitney Houston is one of the greatest influence for many singers, before many singers, there was Whitney Houston, she came out in mid-80's to grace the audience with her powerful golden voice, in late 90's, she became more popular (National Anthem, The Bodyguard, etc.), in 2000's, she fall down in music industry because she choose the wrong choice and decision as she choose living with drugs and her husband Bobby Brown, in early 2010's, she attempted to save her pop superstardom but failed again and went down in music industry and in 2012, she tragically passed away at the age of 48 and many singers came out after her death to pay respects and tributes to her.

Many tried... Oprah Tried, Pebbles (former R&B singer now Preacher) tried, and also Ce Ce Winans tried. And Clive Davis always gave her room to try and reinvent herself and make a comeback. fighting an addiction is one of the toughest fights a person has and its a lifelong struggle. Unfortunately, many lose in this battle... RIP Whitney.
