Hey, I have that car !!! I took the electronics out , added a esc & receiver. It worked fine but slow. Know I'm changing the esc , adding ànew esc & 52mili amp lipo battery! Rewire the lights. By the way, my windshield frame was broke as well. I super glued it & it's fine ! Also a new steering servo, I would like new tires & rims to fit it. Enjoy!!
haha it sounds like they should've made the windshield frame stronger then lol! Do you have a video of your upgrades? I'd be very interested to see how it runs now

I have that same car but missing a few pieces to. Some was throwing it away I saved about 8 years back and still have it I love it want to restore it back to normal 1 day

Wow it is a lot peppier than i expected , i always thought it would be clunky and slow , that and i never knew the lights worked , i like that they stay on when you aren't driving , i bet i can fix the windshield frame i have some plastic solvent that temporarily liquefy the plastic on both halves so you can stick them back together to make one piece again its better than glue . you may be able to make a battery cover out of some sheet metal or heck even some foam board will allow you to drive it without dragging the battery . nice video , thinking i may need to find one of these
that would definitely be worth trying. I'd love to drive this thing without worrying about the battery dragging. I've got some other 1/6 rc cars but I don't think they're as well-made as this Radioshack one. I haven't filmed the other ones yet
@@PrinceofMacedonVlogs the only 1/6 rc cars i had was the bud nascar that walmart sold a while back and the chrysler 300 srt hemi that they sold around the same time
@@PrinceofMacedonVlogs i remember they sold two different chrysler 300s they had the one i had that with the vacuformed lexan body that was held on by 6 body pins and then they had the one that had the hard body with interior , they also sold a 1/6 scale rc tank but lol there was no way i had room to store that monster , the 300 was destroyed when the strong texas crosswind blew a trashcan over on top of the car at speed , caught it at the perfect moment as i was driving full speed along the curb down my street and the car shattered into a hundred pieces all over the street , that car was way too fast , i loved that car , i had the black one , i pulled all the stickers off except for the headlight , taillight and grill stickers , it was a good looking car .

I've never seen the white/orange one. Is it the same size as the one in this video? And if you look on the bottom of your car, you can see what kind of battery you need/have
wicked! Merry Xmas~! You think that's huge? How about my 1/5th Humvee!!? I drove it on xmas eve in a big storm, bashing through mud and floods, and i didn't realize the hood had vent holes, and got the stock servo wet and it gave out. I was plannin on replacing with a huge servo i have anyways, but it did the job just fine. Can't have it not waterproof though so it's GG. I'll be uploading coming up in 2017, see you next year mafks!
I used a 1/6 guy in mine but as you mentioned, no leg room. The dude I used had a broken leg so I took off the remaining leg then fashioned fake legs attached to the torso and put each “leg” into each pant leg and it supports his torso and he sits straight up. I noticed your headlight covers are stuck open? I haven’t operated mine in a bit and I forget what triggers them to open, perhaps turning on the transmitter? Sorry, I forgot. Awesome car! I have two so eventually I might see if the body will fit on a Traxxas Slash chassis or my Hobbyking Rattler so it can go a little faster but if I do that I might loose all the cool lights and stuff. See what happens. Fun to dream up ideas.
there might be a switch for it or something. It's also been awhile since I played with this. I also need to get a battery cover (which has proven a lot harder than I thought to find). I definitely want to do something with this in the future. I wish the guy would've packaged this better when he sent it to me

I was going to chase a skunk out of my yard with an RC monster truck but the battery popped out and got stuck under the rear tire. Skunk got away which is fine with me!
