Hey Playgrounders! So for those of you that didn't know, back in October when they released Arkham Origins, Armature Studio released "Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate" for the 3DS and the PS Vita. The game shares the "Arkham Origins" moniker, but actually is a different game, and takes place after "Arkham Origins." Today, the game is being re-released in HD for consoles as the Deluxe Edition. The cutscenes are in motion comic format, as opposed 3D prerendered cutscenes. The game is a great addition to the Batman library, and is worthy of the inexpensive price tag. We hope you enjoy the game movie, as always we added relevant dialogue, cutscenes, and gameplay to create one fluid story. Please make sure to like, comment, and subscribe!
Set three months after the events of Arkham Origins, a mysterious explosion at Blackgate Prison allows Joker, Penguin and Black Mask to each gather enough henchmen in order to take over their own section of the prison. After being informed that Blackgate has been separated into three sections: the Cell Block, the Industrial Area, and the Administration Offices, Batman goes to investigate and he quickly learns that there is more to this than your average uprising. Batman also meets Catwoman and others for the first time, and begin to forge a relationship with a young Captain Gordon.

Batman said “Wait.” in one cutscene and the video buffered literally right after. The man is powerful.
Played the game for about an hour, couldn't take it, but I was only playing it for the story, so I resorted to simply watching the cutscenes. Thanks!

it has 3 different ends... it based on who you pick for the last boss. This one is Joker ending

Much appreciated.Some of us enjoys the cinematic but the gameplay is too mundane,over-simplistic and repetitive.That's the reason.And the game is too frickin linear which is too overbearing and restrictive.

The game does take 3 months after origins and Batman wasn’t necessarily a popular figure in Gotham yet so it’ll make sense that security from a government building would try to arrest him

so, just like in *Arkham Origins: Blackgate* , there is a fight club (but instead of Penguin, it's run by Brick, Derek Sampson/Stardust, and Ben Turner/Bronze Tiger himself) where our hero has to fight the champion.
And just like in the game, Turner ends up fighting side by side with the MC...

I love the cutscenes, looks like comics art without the dialogue... but there are some sound text like "BEEP" "THUD" "POW!"
Put this into normal gameplay and this would be kick ass dlc

why is grundy here? i thought he was only recently found by the penguin in arkham city, why does batman know him already?
+starfuckerification To be fair, Penguin was the one who found and had just met him in AC. Batman didn't seem to question he Grundy was, likely knowing it was him. And Arkham Origins takes place two years after Bruce had just become Batman. So there's no telling if he met Grundy sometime before AO. Likely, he did, however.

too bad there wont be a batman game with sucide squad.
New rumors surfaced that it was being developed alongside a Superman game, and it will be a "Third Person Action game" take that for what it is but E3 is coming soon and rumors of Injustice 2, a Damian Wayne Batman game among those two are rumored.
This was just a set up for Assault on Arkham I guess.

@@bagboygino for 1 arkham city comics and bio mention how black mask had the mask burned on this chnages it for no reason, so this changes alot of what was established
