Dark Tomorrow is a Batman game from the Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 era. Although the gameplay isn't the best, it was way ahead of it's time in cinematic story telling. It tried to make the game feel like the movie, and it is in that aspect that it truly shines.
While Batman is trying to stop a gang war between Scarface & the Ventriloquist and Black Mask being waged on Gotham City's streets, Commissioner James Gordon has been kidnapped, and is being held hostage at an overrun Arkham Asylum. Racing through the city's sewers in order to enter the Asylum undetected, Batman has to fight through a gauntlet of enemies ranging from Poison Ivy to Mr. Freeze before finally encountering the man holding Gordon: the Joker.
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. Hope you enjoy!

I will give this game credit for one thing and that's that Cassandra Cain is in it. You rarely see her outside of comics.
This game has a surprising amount of characters from the comic (Ivy, Freeze, Ratcatcher, Blackmask, Zsasz, ect...) before the _Arkham_ series and the story is pretty good all things considered. If the gameplay was better then this game could have been killer!

This game was a pretty big deal when it was announced. Before Arkham Asylum, this was supposed to be the best Batman game up to that point.

What blew my mind was that they put Cassandra Cain in the game. You almost never see her.
My goodness I remember playing this so many years as a kid and I remember how I easily failed so many times but I didn't care because I WAS BATMAN! But now after so many years, playing all of the Batman Arkham games and simply learning more about Batman lore, I realize how awful but nostalgic this game is.
I will admit I enjoy how this game introduced characters that are uncommonly seen in video media such as the Cassandra Cain version of Batgirl and Ratcatcher in particular. Indeed for its time I guess it was below average game about Batman.

Granted he was teased constantly for the Arkhamverse but they killed him off like it was nothing in the comics for it.
Clearly he's a worthless non canon character
Even when I wrote a Justice League fan story, I killed him off within two chapters. He died while standing up to my group of villains, and gave some information to Batman and the League, but not enough to prevent what happened afterward when Scarecrow slices him open with his scythe.

I appreciate many of the movies, but to play through games as bad as this so we can appreciate the story is truly sacrificial :D
Didn't realise Scarface/Ventroliquist was in this, he's definitely my favorite underused villain. I'm not having a batman week, I just happened to be rewatching BTAS for the first time in 20 years but going with the fan-theorised chronological order instead of just episode after episode on dvd.
How the hell could the ventriloquist talk with no body?
And we never saw Batgirl again
The worst thing about this game is definitely Batman's running animation
the sound effects are really good too. At times you can actually hear batman's rubber in his costume stretch. A real attention to detail...👌
Hey guys, so we were going to do a BATMAN WEEK next week, but apparently the "Return to Arkham" Collection has been delayed indefinitely (originally was coming July 26th). We had a couple of Batman game movies already lined up, so we'll post some of them in the next couple of days.

I remember my parents getting this game for me. I was so Hyped, the cutscenes graphics were amazing at the time compare to other games. But the gameplay and technique were one the worst in human history. Now that I think back, I did finish the game, it was as long as Arkham asylum I would say and I only finished it cause I was more into the cutscenes lol
I don’t know about you, but the game took me less that 20 minutes to beat it, I guess because I rushed it and didn’t bother exploring

Though this game was god awful I at least appreciate its story and for the time good graphics. It's good to see the facial animations for example, like the part with one of joker's henchmen eye twitches and such. Sometimes I wanna see this game remade from the ground up same story and designs for outfits but with a bit more added to it to understand things better bring back the open world idea and such.

I beat this whole game when I was a kid. I remember being able to tell it was terrible as a pre-teen but I just had to finish it.

The only real problem with the game is the gameplay but the cutscenes and the dark atmosphere and story and the gameplay is the only issue

Well, to be fair, this iteration of Batgirl is supposed to look like that.
For as really super awful this game was for the time . I think they should completely remake or even remaster this game most definitely redo the controller mechanics redo the camera work & bump up the graphics & smart AI & boom I know it’s easier set then done but it could be done . Now days seems like old games are getting the remastered touch now adays why not this one you know ?. I do understand that this game was supposed to have the batboat , batmobile, batwing to go around Gotham city & stop crime but was axed because there wasn’t enough time & the systems at that time couldn’t handle that but with today’s technology & consoles & maybe with a better slightly tweaked interrogation system or hell even integrate the system from shadow of Mordor something like that omg would make for a damn awesome game just saying

Woh that was Casandra Cain batgirl and I am guessing by her lack of lines this was when she was still mute. This game could have been so awesome if not for how bad it is.
When I first saw this game, I had no idea who Cassandra was and was confused how batgirl and Oracle coexist.

Not the most popular Batman video game due to the gameplay & graphics, but memorable for having a good story written by an actual Batman comic book writer - Scott Peterson wrote "Batman: Gotham Adventures" from 1999-2003. Bonus points for all the characters acting on point.

Although this game received extremely negative reviews for its gameplay, use of controls, camera-work, and for its multiple endings, the story as well as the cinematics earned some praise. That's got to count for something, right?

Wrong take. This game uses Killer Croc's original comics design (when he was just regular, human-sized tough guy with a bad skin condition).
He had this design for years in the comics before he eventually mutated to what he currently looks like now.

Pity this game is so awful because it features Batman in my favourite Blue, Grey, and Yellow outfit.
I’d go so far as to argue that this game is good but not in a way that most people like or want. It doesn’t look bad, the graphics are actually pretty good for like a 2002 game, the story is really solid, the soundtrack is great, I wanna download that, the voice acting is solid (with maybe a couple of exceptions) and the tone is really dark, it used to scare me a little as a child when I first played it. Sure, the fixed camera angles are funky and make the fighting and boss battles difficult but when it comes down to it, I think it adds to the atmosphere of the experience...it did take me literally years to figure out where to go and how to complete the game though. It took me like a year to find the defoliant in the Poison Ivy section as it was in the days before internet walkthroughs were a thing. It may be a bad game but I like it for what it is.
Pro tip: best and quickest way to beat this game is to toss it in the trash where it belongs
This game is horrible but you can see how they took certain elements from it and executed it better in Arkham Asylum.

Ha! Another classic Ra’s Al Ghul defeat- I won’t kill you, but I don’t have to save you- intentional or not, Batman bends the rules with the immortal megalomaniac intent on genocide who can also regenerate when returned to the Lazarus pit- therefore technically not breaking his one rule at all.
Despite how much people say it sucks, I desperately want to play this. So, my question is this: Is this game borderline unplayable, or is it Sonic 06 levels if bad. If it's Sonic 06 levels of bad, I really wanna play it

they should have used scar face like this in the arkham games. This game could have been good if they done things better and took time to make the animation better. The Cut scenes are not bad though. not amazing but Little gamers sure make it better XD

The gameplay should be redone from the ground up as well, it was terrible, trying to grapple properly while judging distance was a nightmare
People neglect this game to much. The gameplay really is the only bad aspect. The story is original and the graphics look ahead of its time. I’d even believe that they could be early PS3/360 graphics. PlayStation should consider doing a remaster on a different more clean cut engine with high resolution and swift movement and user compatibility. Though that request is more easier said than done.
