Throwback Thursdays! Here's our first official throwback, and in celebration of Arkham Knight coming out, we thought it would be perfect to do Batman: vengeance. This game was released in 2001 on the PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC. We hope you enjoy this first throwback, and we'll have one coming every Thursday hereafter based on the suggestions you guys have given. Enjoy!
After saving the life of a woman named Mary Flynn from an apparent attempted murder at the hands of the Joker at Gotham Chemical, which resulted in the complex blowing up due to a ticking time bomb left next to a tied up Mary by the Joker, Batman investigates what possible interest his nemesis would have in the woman. He learns that Joker had abducted her son, Toby, and is holding him for a $5 million ransom and will kill both Mary and her son if she does not pay up soon
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue, and all cutscenes to create one fluid cinematic experience.

I remember playing this as a kid and being scared shitless by the Joker. Seeing his freaky smile after walking away from the wreckage and his poem always gave me goosebumps.

precisely! with barbara doing oracle duties while STILL being batgirl! i wish they didn't had to put in "the killing joke" event in...or have it so barbara was just temporary paralyzed & with strong-will determination, recovered quickly.

I’ve played all the Batman games multiple times, but this one was definitely my favorite before the Arkham games. I’ve beaten this game 20 times and it still never gets old.
This was the first real video game I played. Ever. Perhaps explains why I'm so fond of Batman.

My second Batman game. The first one was Batman: Gotham City Racer. It’s amazing how good this game is even after so many years . The story is full of suspense and it gives me goosebumps until this very day. The best Batman game of PS2.

The creepiest Joker in any of the Batman games. In the Arkham series Joker makes me laugh while Scarecrow gives me the creeps. But this Joker is so diabolical. They really did an amazing job with this game.
one of my favorites! Seriously every batman fan should give this game a try. It was a satisfaction having to beat this game. it gets harder and harder as you proceed to the levels.

Yeah this was one of the earliest PS2 games, I remember struggling with the controls in first person haha, especially during that gotham bridge boss fight against the Joker. I loved both this and Batman Rise of Sin Tzu even though that was just a generic side scrolling beat em up.

I hated how in the earlier batman games u had 2 always handcuff villians when u knocked them out.
Maybe next time, if these style of Batman games make a return, alongside the Arkham Games (that's still going strong), maybe they can be more generous with how much more cuffs you can hold

David Avalos No. This game was released way before the 360 came out I believe. It's on PS2, Gamecube and PC. They're all available on Amazon.

I love this game its my favorite batman game of all time i remember i was a kid reading gaming magazines and seeing screenshots of this game the poison ivy section with plants looked soo cool i love the gameplay how you can use the gadgets drive the batplane and batmobile and this is the only good game based off the animated series batman racer was the shits so was that god awful pos batman beyond
The game was good, but the Batmobile stages were unplayable. A little more effort and it could have been a PS2 best-seller.

I remember playing this with no memory card and I had a hard time with mr freezes mission and after I passed that I was so scared going through the facility when you save Isaac. This was the ONLY game I had and played everyday. Finished it my first time after a few months as a kid. We all came a long way.
