The acting in Console Wars is technically "bad." But it's so consistent from episode to episode. They act and say shit the exact same way every video. It kinda reminds me of the acting and style of Clerks. Love this shit. One of my favorite CZcams channels. Keep up the good work! Thanks!

One thing to note...
Megaman The Wily Wars was exclusively on Sega Channel only in North America a long time ago but now there's a reproduction cartridge so dont do the european version because its gameplay is SLOW and dont do the japenese version because its region locked. And both cartridges are expensive.

+Gamerman Oscar Mr. Nutz a rivel in the animal games world to Awesome Possum was a way better game on both systems on every level although even that is still not the best ever game. lol. Well eventually they would have to get to playing the crap and average bad games someday as well as the average good and good games as that would be all thats left to compare. Luckily Mr. Nutz is on the higher average scale even though some levels are samey so it's a good game can't say the same for the other animal title. lol.

The first one also seems decent as well but I preferred the sequal it's more faster paced arcade like action.

Johnauditore Yeh I decided yesterday I preferred that one too, less unique game designs but feels more like a traditional platformer, also; Buster Busts Loose has more relentless difficulty and having to get used to each stage as it comes

I prefer SNES, they clearly put more time in the SNES version than in the Genesis version. But if we're talking EWJ1, definitely Genesis and SEGA CD.

Guys, you should make a video about Justice League Task Force. SNES and Genesis versions have some significant differences, and with all this Superman vs. Batman talking, would be the right game to compare.

I have a suggestion for a future episode Dan. How about ''Lemmings'' it was a puzzle game released on both platforms with significant to minor changes between versions. Different sounding music, one had tons more levels than the other, different presentations. Just a suggestion but I think it would make for a great episode.
Been watching lots of these lately and they're all very entertaining.
Tom and Jerry: The Frantic Antics is actually a playable game. The 2P mode is impossible, but the 1P mode is fine. And the gameplay was refined enough to be decent. Plus, it's nicely based around the Tom and Jerry movie, which... while people may not like it, it made for a decent plot of the game. But, the Gameboy version handled it way better, and included more bosses that reference the movie. Plus, it lacked the 2P mode, so no unplayable garbage.
The SNES version on the other hand, is hot garbage. It does, not, work. And it barely functions as a game. It was so clearly rushed, that the holes in the product are clear as day.
What does the SNES Tom And Jerry game and The Tom And Jerry “Comedy” Show both have in common? They reuse the same music over and over again.
You guys are definitely my favorite channel on CZcams! I hope you soon do Aladdin because I think it's better on Genesis

I love this ep.. this is what u called a classic... This ep is one of the best...
the super nintendo version of tom and jerry in this video is actually a remake of the nes version, which i have. this game also came out on gameboy color and gameboy advance. the gameboy color version of course, looks more like the original nes version, and the gameboy advance version looks exactly like the snes version.
the hover at start could be an attempt to avoid a collision glitch:
some games use multi-frame collision data, during the first frame it could say either
[no collision,garbage,garbage,garbage]
or
[collision,garbage,garbage,garbage]
the latter could have easily caused Jerry to do some *GLITCHY* actions, but a quicker solution would have been to simply copy the first frame's collision data into the rest of the collision data-buffer.
I think it's funny how this one is a competition to see which one is WORSE, not which one is BETTER.
The next one will be an 8-bit game comparison: Tom and Jerry: The Ultimate Game of Cat and Mouse for NES and Tom and Jerry: The Movie for Master System.

How can worst sound go to SEGA on the Foundation that the sound effects are bad when that is just the Mega Drive "twang" kicking in, and the music itself (as stated in the episode) is tons more kickass than the SNES? Sometimes your logic is flawed, but whatever, it's your video at the end of the day:-)
Sega has a superior sound chip. It's fm synth and it's crystal clear. The SNES is wonky and can only play muted samples. The Sega can sound bad of course but that is the fault of the programmer not the system, like a person playing an instrument he can't play. Go listen to Streets of Rage 1-2, the SNES cannot touch that sound.

I rather deal with crappy sounds then boring super repetitive music. xD I agree there bad, but they never annoyed me. Not to the extent of I rather deal with boring music! The sound effects in the SNES one aren't great ether. May sound bias, but I personally think the SNES one is the worst simply because I enjoyed it much less then Frantic Antics. I should never be bored in a video game, and I believe nothing's worse then that. I played both games back in the day, but the Genesis game I had more fond memories with. While the 2 player simultaneous co-op was admittedly bad, I fairly had a fun time playing it with siblings. And the multiplayer for SNES. If you can even call it that really, was just bleh. Wasn't fond of the take turns wait for the second player to do this level kind of thing. In which you guys didn't even mentioned. It certainly didn't help make the game more exciting. Plus I've always appreciated Tom being playable. xD It's funny how this came along after recently randomly looking up the old Tom and Jerry games on CZcams.

Did somebody else agree that the best Tom and Jerry games are the fighting game on Nintendo 64 and War of the Whiskers on PS2? Both games with a lot of interactive levels, so much destruction, a lot of characters and so damn fun watching how Jerry is punching Tom with a big hammer :3. The only suggestion I have is the First Fatal Fury and Another World but if the next episode is gonna a Future RPG game... No idea

i don't really think that all of the sound effects on the Megadrive/Genesis game are terrible. however i do agree that it's easy to not know where you're supposed to go, that's why i couldn't beat this game when i first played it years ago.

I have played two Tom & Jerry games. One was "Tom & Jerry in Fists of Furry" for the N64, which was a watered-down version of Power Stone. The other was "Tom & Jerry The Magic Ring" for GBA, which was a bland and forgettable beat 'em up.
You guys probably could have made a Simon and Garfunkel joke at the beginning there. They used to go by Tom and Jerry when they first formed their band.

And the funny thing is that the game boy version is an adaptation of the Sega Genesis version but improved all the way. I own it from the GB times and it's a really good platform game.

AkumaTh1 Im not really an RPG fan so I dont know many but off the top of my head it would probably be a phantasy star game but the problem is I hear chrono Trigger is considered the best RPG of all time so there probably wont be any competition
