I have a Spidops on my team named Spooder. I've had him since I started the game and he may not be the best and I get made fun of for having it I still use him because I love him. I don't care about competitive or stats. I like playing with him and that's all that matters ^-^

I actually used Spidops for half my playthrough. Slow, sure, but it stayed alive and did some nice damage pretty well and its signature ability is pretty good too.
I kept my Spidops on my team as well up till after my fight with Larry for the 5th gym badge. I only had it on my team because it was my first shiny in the game(shiny Spidops kind of looks like Deadpool) and it was doing well in the beginning until I noticed that it wasn't doing very well as I got farther and farther into the game, so that is when I replaced it with a Kilowattrel for a bit until I got an even better team member.
I myself used Spidops and it's pre-evolution for the entirety of the game, from the first battle with Arven all the way through and still going into the postgame. Was my first ever shiny cause I got lucky as heck with that spawn, and it has been a main pillar of the team. Surprisingly tanky and can hit like a truck as well. Silk trap is also really good for setting up and slowing down treats to the team. Love my boy, refuse to drop him.
I did the same. Halfway through my playthrough it was just too slow and not hitting hard enough, even with Silk trap setting up my other Pokémon that 1 move wasn't enough to save it. Gamefreak should have made it much better speed and offensively. We need more options for competitive bug types not stuck with the same 3 or 4 ones over and over again. And with a good enough stat line with a signature move or two would have propelled this bug into the late game at least. [It sucks it held a spot on my team for so long, before I noticed that it couldn't hang with the rest of the team.... I thought the evolution with the signature move would have saved it, but it wasn't worth it.]

Most of these are usable in game just not in online battles
Actually, I do have a reason to use Pachirisu & Dedenne; the Pickup ability. It is useful during the gameplay, especially when it gets to high levels and gets a chance to gather great equipment like Bottle Caps
Spidops carried be all the way to the 6th gym. Using his sticky web along with silk trap helped me constantly take speed control, along with using his insomnia to avoid getting set up on. As a 28 level mon, he took out several level 35 Pokémon. He ran through ppl and I'm proud of him
but hes so ugly 😭

I genuinely love Spidops. It somehow managed to take on the Pokémon League with such ease and take down over half the gym fights

Since you asked at the end, I had a Kricketune as one of my main Pokémon when I first played Diamond/Pearl as a kid, and I brought him back for Brilliant Diamond. With a speed nature and speed ev training I aced a few gyms/elite 4 with fury cutter scaling up off weak first mons. Even finished off Cynthia with Perish Song
Alomamola not being Luvdisks evolution is the worst pink fish mistakes Pokemon has made.
The Bug type Pokémon of Paldea don’t feel as powerful as they’ve been since Drapion, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Gallar
Mmmm paradox vulcarona is this gens super bug. I did lowkixs for my first run instead of the spider. Was a beast

I just can’t stop using Frosmoth! I only love it because I enjoy ice types, and it’s so pretty. I wish it wasn’t so weak to stuff
He acknowledged it's aesthetics - but his list isn't just about looks.

I personally think pachirisu and dedenne are awesome from a playthrough perspective. They both have access to pickup and great catching utility with nuzzle and hyper fang. Extra items and good catching utility are both things I value in a playthrough. Their decent speed stat can also allow them nuzzle or hyper fang and then volt switch out vs bigger threats in the late game.
Sorry, but those are possibly the _worst_ reasons. You totally forgot to mention Pachirisu at least having the Run Away Ability. That is Great tech it mean you'll never be beached in a losing battle when you're exploring High level Pokémon.
I actually almost forgive it for that. But as it stands, it's not even worth a casual's time. Just get Bellibolt.

I'll give Lowkix a shot since it's such a cool design, but I'm worried about that base stat. Though I can hardly speak, having used Kricketune in Brilliant Diamond.

in smogon singles, Iron Bundle was banned to Ubers due to it's unresisted set
Wow, I guess it became what Kyurem grew into being.
I have a crazy idea to make Sunflora work. It would require a weird Trick Room Sun team (probably in doubles as a switch in with/for Torkoal), where it has Solar Power. You'll probably need to use Hatterene or Bronzong to set up the trick room, but the idea's out there.

I remember once you'd say if a Pokémon wasn't good in competitive, or was starter evolution whose leg count changed: it was a sh_t-mon.
Now you are even acknowledging Klefki's strengths as an element of world building.
I’m surprised Kricketune hasn’t received an evolution. Maybe bug/fairy with an ability that boosts sound attacks
I think a kind of offensive/support ability that boosts it's own and a teammate's sound based attacks would suit it, since Kricketune is somewhat based off an orchestra conductor

I did a playthrough of Ultra moon with 6 Pokémon with the lowest base stat totals as fully evolved Pokémon at the time that didn’t solely lean on a gimmick(Smeargle/Delibird etc)
I used;
Luvdisc
Sableye
Ledian
Mawile
Sunflora
Kricktune
It was very difficult. When you have to lean heavily on Sableye and Mawile it makes you appreciate all the other Pokémon lol.
I used a spidops all the way through Violet. Love that design so much

My first shiny happened in violet it was a shiny Luv disk. Didn’t use it in my play through but I did put it in my party and bring it along since it’s cute
Mine was Spyduck like 2 minutes into the game! I kept him on my team. 💀😂
Mine was a Shiny Mankey, I didn't use it on my team but it was a cool encounter

What's funny is that if you have a Maushold with Tidy Up even silk trap becomes useless

I actually like all 3 of the bug types. Wish they were stronger though
you should do a video where you compare all the fire starters against each other, the same with grass and water too. comparing all current 9 generations worth of starters against each other. or maybe even split up 3 gens at a time

Yes... but he shouldn't include Power-Ups (Mega Evolution, Dynamax/Gigamax, Terra and Z-Moves, since not every starter has acces to that, which means including the power-ups is unfair).
@@nickdentoom1173 I think including Tera and Dynamax is fine because if the starters were in modern games, they would have access to that.
@@gunsandroses896 I feel like Terra is problematic, since its unfair to the Pure typed starters as well... considering the dual typ starters have acces to dual terra types.

For someone who is putting down my frostmoth you could at least get the other 4X weakness right, plus it's not so bad it's pretty good at destroying dragons that don't resist ice beam
All he did was accidently say bug instead of fire. The stats were still right there in front of you.
@@PaintedLive Lol, ikr? And he's freaking out over it wow lol. Frosmoth is simply too slow to be considered a threat. After 1 QD, it's max speed is barely 380.
I caught a full odds shiny spider and it was as red as the dodgeball it reminded me of. i don't care how much it sucks, it is never leaving my team.

Nope, Iron Bundle is Delibird on steroids with Freeze-Dry and a decent Wotah movepool, especially if it holds a booster energy if you can't bring an Electric Terrain setter.
Luvdisc is even worse now because its sole use of being a Heart Scale holder is now worthless, since remembering moves can now be done on the fly, free of charge.

Sableye is a great Pokemon to play tricks on your aponent
Poor Sunflora. I'm one of the few who genuinely loves the little dude and have used him more than once as my grass option but... Man they need to do that flower a solid and give it a form or evolution to make it better

I kept spidops in my endgame team even with the whack speed. Turn 1 sticky web for set up and then silk-trap with counter or leach life every other turn made it a fun lead

Sunflora should've received an Anicent Paradox form
Sableye needs a evolution or regional variant especially krikatune hope we get something in the dlc
Here is a Pitch:
Kricketune evolves and becomes a Bug/Ghost type called "Kricketrill"
At this point, an interesting evolution like a Bug/Ghost will save Kricketune, being a mono-bug type and a terrible one at that, It needs this badly!
I used spidops thought the whole game and it was able to single handedly able to knock out 4 of Geeta’s Pokemon.

Even last gen I felt bad about Frosmoth. I love its design (Snom is super cute as well), but the typing is just so brutal.
Yea i already saw spidops use sticky web and silk trap after the dolphin superman swapped out. And that lead to a sweep after one bulk up. So yup spidops is very useful
Spydops is just so disappointing. It's first form is kind of cute and the Dex entries say it fights Scyther. Yet it's just so awful that even getting leveled up to evolve feels like as much of a chore as Magikarp, but without any of the payoff.
I played Frosmoth in and out of my team. I made it run Bluzzard, Snow warning, aurora veil and quiver dance with a focus sash has its held item. Nemona destroyed it but it tried.

I’ve had fun playing with all of these mons in this game and others (except Luvdisc lol), to each their own. They can obviously be viable in their own way lol Also, I love Spidops and couldn’t resist using it immediately along side Sunflora, despite their flaws lol
I was disappointed by Spidops... kind of a weird design, no second type, and underwhelming stats. I wish there were more strong spider Pokémon
Sabeleye desperately needs a new evolution.
Sableye can’t get an evolution because when gen 6 remakes do eventually happen it wouldn’t make sense for a baby Pokémon to mega evolve.

i absolutly love water breed tauros, i don't know why but I just love how they move in battle and, I've always loved water types, so aqua breed is my favorite, I named mine Amor, it just popped into my head, the MVP of my playthrough
I killed backscaliber using spidops in a ranked match and it is fun to set up spikes and webs with.
Spidops could be a sticky web setter and it's signature mover lowers the speed

Eh, signature moves have kinda lost all meaning when it started feeling like _every_ new Pokémon was getting a signature move.

Love the channel so far but some of these Pokemon labeled worst have been on very successful competitive teams . Frosmoth with tailwind is beastly and prankster klefki can do work
I don't know how to react to Spidops being number three when I used one for my entire playthrough.
Look ,i know spidops has lower base stats then monferno. But i caught a shiny tarotula 30 minutes into my first violet stream on route one and absolutely adore them. Named my spidops charm as my lucky charm i caught at the start of my journey and im gonna beat the game with em
best team probably involves flamigo or oricorio, cyclazar, ceruledge or armorogue, barraskcuda, mabostiff, pawmot, tauros and tinkaton
low key jumpluff carry me early game.. good against the first 4 gyms and good for catching pokemon being bulky fast and can sleep

@@kittylover62 it has the best type in the game and with a good investment in atk it can oneshot a lot of things with his signature move also has access to fake out and playerough early. kinda fast and deceptively bulky.. so for ingame team its really good
I bet Luvdisc or Delibird will be the next target for the Pokémon fandom begging to get evolutions for them
delibird has a really strong paradox form thats already been banned in pokemon showdown

The only reason i keep Spidops around is because i keep worrying about pokemon like the legendary beasts popping up eventually.
2 of my top 5 favs consistently make these types of lists, Sableye and Kricketune :( one day they will get an evolution or some sort of halfway decent usability!!!
Luvdisc, that pokemon actually did have a use sometime in the past, it wasn't a combat use but it was still something, what was that something, re-learning moves, the scales of a Luvdisc were traded to some random move-relearner so you can help your pokemon pal learn something that it has forgotten, but oh wait now you can just that yourself at anytime for *FREE* , so I wonder, why in the entire poke-world is Luvdisc still around? It serves 00 purpose in Paldea, through both combat or relearning, it's officially a useless pokemon

"You all knew this was coming". There are over 900 damn Pokemon (close to 1000) currently out and it's incredibly hard to even know what's coming. More importantly I never once heard of Frosmoth so I'll actively be looking out for it to catch.
I think the sunflora special stats,shows 105, instead of 125 as was said!
Just FYI, you misstated one of Frosmoth's 4x weaknesses (really, a bug being 4x weak to bug?)

I actually had Spidops on my team for a while. Silk Trap was helpful. But it quickly became outclassed by the likes of Kilowattrell and Great Tusk.

I haven't played either scarlet or violet myself, but it does sound like everything is pretty solid aside from the technical issues.
I hope the make a lovedisc evo that’s water fairy and a sunflora evo that turns fire grass and makes them both viable
You should mention the Alomamola tease on its or Pokedex page.
If you don't mind Mystic, I know another reason why Spidops sucks. Most fans can agree that it's pre evolution tarountula is cute and a good design, but it's evolution is a dissapointment and a downgrade designwise. It's also a reason why it's more disliked.
What I like about Iron Bundle is it looks like a tin wind-up toy.
I've used spidops in my Scarlet team and kricketune in my brilliant diamond team they proved better than expected
I think Spidops should have had another evolution, even if they went the scizor route and it has to be traded with a item, it feels incomplete. Plus it seems to be weirdly popular on a lot of other videos I have seen
Mystic should really put "my top ten worst pokemon in scarlet and violet" in the title cuz that's his opinion. Granted some don't have the best stats but these "worst mons" helped people on their teams for a majority or entirely throughout their games.

Kricketune could TOTALLY get a evolution, something like Locuzart or the like which would be Bug.Fairy type.

I felt like violet was too easy my first play through so I’m gonna use a few of these guys and some other Pokémon that are under 450 starting stats at final evolution

Honestly, I think Kricketune should evolve, Gen 4 Pokemon that aren't evolution of past Pokemon haven't gotten any attention outside of like Mega Lopunny....
Having the lowest base stat of any fully evolved pokemon and such having a miserable movepool...and its not like its gimmicky...Kricketune can evolve!
I think Kricketune evolving into a Bug/Ghost type would be the perfect typing, I don't know why, Pushed its Base-Stat to 504 and give new abilities, This would fully redeem this line in a heart beat.
The first terra raid Pokémon I died to was a Luvdisc🥲
