RCAWD Portal Axles Traxxas TRX-4m High Trail

- Just a quick look at the freshly released RC AWD portal axles that are available for the TRX-4m line of cars. They come fully assembled and even include a high power metal gear servo! I like running my rear axle locked and front open since I only do minor stuff around the house.
Also of note, I have seen 3 other build videos where they had to reverse the polarity of the motor wires so was fully expecting to do that. I am glad I tried it before reversing the wires as they may have flipped the ring gears so that you no longer have to do that. My set did just arrive yesterday.

Cool video. Portals look great. I'd like to try that on my Defender. Do they widen the wheel base? Because mu Defender loves to tip over as it is.
They are a bit wider than stock and the brass hexs are also wider so it gives a tires width more...width. lol My High Trail used to tip over all the time if turning at speed. With these stickier tires and these axles it can turn full speed and only lift one front wheel but not roll. That being said, in the video I did yesterday I threw some 74mm monster truck tires on it and while it looks mean and is awesome off road and even in soft lawn grass, it cant turn at speed or else it rolls. Actually the monster tires make it not even able to go full throttle due to no control. BUT they look cool and it can bumper stand and bounce so it looks neat. lol
If i have a trx4m costom body can i put it on my trx4m high tail?
I honestly couldnt say. I imagine as long as the Traxxas lock system fits it then it will. Pretty sure the High Trail is longer though. When I get home tonight I will try and fit my not HT body onto my HT and let you know.
