  • A pair of 12-year-old boys have been found guilty of the murder of 19-year-old Shawn Seesahai in an apparently unprovoked machete attack. They have become the two youngest convicted murderers in the UK since the killing of James Bulger in 1993. But how much blame should the parents take for their children’s actions?

The only people responsible for making sure that children do not get into trouble are the PARENTS. period. Start holding them criminally accountable and more parents will take their roles seriously. When children return from school nowadays, they need a responsible adult at home with them , ensuring, they are being nurtured. These children have been adopted by Street People, who are filling a void. These children have been crying out silently for their parents to listen too them pay attention to me, come off your phone talk too me understand me. Recently in the U.S. two parents were sent to prison due to their son commiting a horrible crime against society with their firearm. Where were the so called "parents" in this situation, and why aren't they being held accountable for their children's antisocial behavior? Too many adults are not involved in raising their children with proper values, and these individual's have no business in bringing children into our world.

At the end of the say parents should be held responsible. People make too much excuses for disobedience.

In some cases I wouldn’t agree with the “let’s blame the parents” excuse because a lot of children are feral on the streets & angels at home. As an avid gamer I can say that games are not to blame, in almost 30 years I’ve never felt the need to repeat or copy anything g I’ve seen. A lot of gamers use it as an escape from real life so to Janet & anyone else who thinks that will still watch movies representing the same things, so by that reasoning they should be banned then eh? The blame game can go on & on, lock them up & throw away the key but then again because they’re kids they will get let off, drug users get more time

nah its probs cos theyre from a single mother no dad at all being dragged up on benefits, where the mother hasnt got a man so treats the son like " her freind" instead of a stern parent just because shes lonely...funny how u never hear of middle class kids from married loving parents that work murdering people

Looking not at absolutes but tendencies , those who carry and use machetes or nasty knifes are young men or teenagers with a black skin.
