If a single parent mother in a council house had left her children like this they'd be taken into care and she'd be prosecuted.

Yes with half the social services paid to travel to another country to fetch the kiddies back - they did go to collect kids from a single mother and they had a first class ticket to sent three SS workers to Spain to grab the children.
That was because the woman had no backup etc. The children were put back with the SA father. The mother was working class and treated appallingly.
      Peace out 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🍀

Why would a mother immediately wash her missing child's favorite toy (cuddle cat) ? Washing off her scent forever ! Really ? Cadaver scent ? G. McCann was even filmed 'Laughing & drinking' out on a balcony a couple of days after Maddie 'disappeared' ! Nothing can 'EVER' persuade me that they are innocent. The Portuguese detective was right all along. I truly hope that real 'justice' will prevail.

I think Maddie dropped cuddle cat off of the balcony and in her drugged state thought she could reach over to retrieve this cat. Then she fell onto the rocks below and perhaps cuddle cat had blood all over her. Had to be washed. Remember the cadaver hit on that lower garden area where there were rocks. Then perhaps Gerry found her and rushed her upstairs. Likely did CPR that was not doable in bed of rocks and later hid her behind sofa while deciding what to do. Keyla, this cadaver sniffing dog was the best in the world!

@francinejones2524 I know right. 3 infants at home alone what could possibly go right? Dangerous substances around like bleach, pharmaceuticals, and fires can start with an oven. They can walk out the door or go out a window as they run around calling out to you. Then, of course, that would arouse an intruder, pedophile, sicko and they can smash a window in. Then, of course, they are in a different country with different rules. THEY ARE INSANE BOTH OF THEM DECIDED IT WAS OK. So.at home, their parenting is questionable as your actions determine who you are. SELFISH PARENTS wanting a social and drinking which will only make them more useless as parents. I remember reading it was a swingers resort so it wouldn't suprise me them as a group. Apparently all working in The NHS. You do have to wonder if they used meds on Madeline to make her drowsy etc. That couldve backfired rather than a kidnap situation as both were selfish to leave them but likely would've known kids call out for mummy and daddy and will run around looking fir them. So maybe they have good supplies as NHS doctors.

As a man with no kids, I find it incredibly hard to understand why a couple would go on holiday with toddlers as a family and then the parents of professional and responsible backgrounds decide it is a good idea to go out for a meal and leave the kids alone in an apartment. This to me is grossly irresponsible, child neglect and borderline abandonment.
Just as peculiar, the police investigation and the utter silence around this criminal event and that absolutely nothing by way of evidence has come to light that could be considered to confirm an abuduction. Maybe and hopefully one day the truth about Madeleine will come out. I am not convinced she is alive or that she is dead.

I am Portuguese. Our culture is very family oriented and child friendly. People watch over all children in the neighborhood, everyone keeps an eye out for children's safety. The Portuguese inspector who originally was in charge of the case wrote a book about it. I think the McCanns tried to sue/silence him. The general population of Portugal was shocked with this horrific tragedy and no one could understand how they left the children alone at night. I am pretty sure the Portuguese police were frustrated that British law enforcement took over the case.

In Goncalo Amaral's book A Verdade Da Mentira, he describes that it was sometimes difficult to collaborate with the Leicestershire police and that when information regarding Kate and Gerry by the Portuguese Police was requested from the British, the Portuguese did not receive that information at all or much to late for using it in the investigation?
It was also quite a difficult situation. This involved the disappearance of a foreign child. For the Portuguese, this was exceptional. They had not yet had to deal with this, and then the English political interference came into the case. The positive thing about the Portuguese-British cooperation was when the suspicion pointed towards the McCanns, the reason that Goncalo Amaral requested help from Mark Harrison on whose behalf Martin Grime with Eddie and Keela were brought to Praia da Luz were they found cadaver odour and blood traces belonging to Madeleine's....

At the request of the Portuguese Police, a leading British expert was called in: "Mark Harrison" National search advisor for all British police agencies in cases of missing people, Homicides, mas fatality disasters from Bedfordshire UK. It was Harrison on whose behalf Martin Grime with Eddie (Enhanced Victim Recovery Dog) and Keela (Crime Scene Investigation Blood Dog) were sent to Praia da Luz, were they found in apartment 5a and in the Renault Scenic hire car, cadaver odour and blood traces belonging to Madeleine's. In his report, Mark Harrison listed cases of success that offered a reliability of guarantee, and he asserted: "that if the dogs came to signal Madeleine's death" (it would be a fact!)
Eddie and Keela found nothing at all in the apartments of the Tapas 7 or in the house of Robert Murat... Eddie is/was a veteran in more than 200 Homicide cases with success! Courts in America have been able to convict people because of his findings...

Answering to the Portuguese lady interviewer on "did you kill your daughter".
Gerry instead of a plain straight answer answered he did not then after a pause "that's an emphatic No" looking smug as if to rub home the point that his status and vocabulary was higher than the plebs he was having to mix with ....we all know what emphatic means Gerry. Just because you have come up from the streets of Glasgow and Kate from the streets of Liverpool you've both crawled up the slippery pole to a more elevated position you are still rough diamonds.
Lorraine Kelly was a friend of Kate's she met at Dundee. So Lorraine invited her onto her show. They had contacts everywhere.
Kate and Gerry had hard faces. You can take the people out of the Liverpool & Glasgow streets but you can't take the cities out of the people.

After the night before (when she cried for two plus hours, probably waking the twins) they sedated her more. She told them, that she cried and they didn't come, she asked where they were. The upstairs neighbour said she heard a toddler cry for hours, before adults came in and it quietened down.
Here is the clincher: When you discover your child is missing and you believe someone came into the room and took her..... would you leave the other two (younger) children in the same room, while you go down to the restaurant and tell your husband and friends???? No, You would scream as loud as you can, you would never leave the other two in the same situation, the abductor, could be coming back for those two, after he puts Madeline in the boot of his car!!! No one in their right mind would leave two children after one has just been abducted ... but Kate McCann DID!!!

    •  Před 17 dny +34

If and only if abduction had been the one and only explanation (as the MCs said thanks to the window/shutters that they also were the only ones to have seen open), then not screaming in a very silent night from the veranda, but running to the restaurant leaving alone two babies without defense, doesn't make sense.

A photo emerged of Madeline, that were taken in Portugal, where she was wearing makeup and posting provocatively. The little girl looked frightened and there were visible bruises on her neck. The parents explained it away as Madeline had found Kate's makeup bag and applied the makeup herself. DH Hall also agrees with the Portuguese police that the photo of her with her father beside the pool was not on the day they claimed, but on day one as they were not sunburnt yet.The Portuguese police man’s book tells it all.

Surely she could have taken them with her? Before anyone says that is impossible then I had at that time a son aged nearly 4 and twin girls 18 Months old! I will never understand why no one asked this question??? If my son had disappeared and I instantly thought he had been taken then no way I would leave my twin daughters alone in that same room 😢

I concur , I’ve said this all along first they should be in jail for neglect when a child is hurt , gone , died … because they were left ALONE unprotected ! But what Mother leaves two babies alone after thinking another child was taken from that room : ONLY a mother who knows what happened and knew the others were not in danger of being taken ! If a kidnapper got out with one and two more were available then wouldn’t they try to get the others too . A mother would NOT leave the others at this point she could have stood on that balcony screaming help and had a crowd in no time making sure the others were going to be safe . The whole thing is disgusting they are doctors the whole group can’t pitch in for a sitter none of them are Good parents I do think I had heard one did use the service ( the crush ) whatever it’s called kiddos to the one doc that cared about the kid being looked after not left unattended . I do think they drugged the kids Maddie cried and complained about waking and crying and nobody came to her they most likely gave her more to keep her sleeping through it next time . And perhaps died of an overdose which they would be charged and take the other kids from them . The kids should be taken from them IMO

However I believe she was taken either Mon 1st May or Tuesday 2nd May 2007
They needed time to plane. The dogs also alerted to the wardrobe in the bedroom which appears to have been the dumping place for Maddie in Gerry's missing capacious sports bad (which he denied having until some holidaymakers said they had seen him with the sports bag. No one had seen Maddie since The only hot day Sunday 30th April 2007. A shot at the Poole with Amelie and Maddy with Gerry. The people at the holiday club had not recalled seeing Maddy since Sunday evening. They needed time to plan everything. They were also seen fetching the twin to the apartment with bags of food a takeaway to the flat on Monday & Tuesday. Not meeting at the restaurant Tapas bar. .
Odd that week there was a conference of CEOs doctors, scientists etc. Thus the other restaurant was always fully booked hence they had to go to the tapas restaurant at the other side of the pool.

I work in Intelligence, UK Security and Counter Terrorism - having previously worked in Central Government at a high level and with Cabinet Ministers.
The McCanns had political connections at Ministerial level and above.
Sadly, so many children go missing every year but can anyone think of any other case in the world - ever - where the parents make a call and the a very senior Civil Servant is immediately taken from his role and seconded to work directly for the family as a spokesman? 🤨
He is still working exclusively as their spokesman to this day.
People tend to forget that it wasn't just one child the McCanns left on more than one occasion but three - yet they never faced any charges of child neglect or endangerment.
Meanwhile poor Ben Needham's mother was nailed to the wall for years, even among the British Press for a time. She wasn't afforded the same level of support.
One could be forgiven for assuming she would have been treated very differently had she not been a working class single mother without Government connections. 😡
I am of the belief that the McCann's know what happened and that they are psychopaths.
Gerry looks as calm as anything, he's barely aged a day - probably kept Kate in check over the years. She on the other hand, the strain is etched in her face. She looks 30 years older than she did.
Without him, I believe she would have cracked by now. 😐

Could you pick up the phone at any hour and call someone within the Government... from abroad? I certainly couldn't and I worked there at the time.
The next day Gordon Brown became personally involved in the case, making statements and as I stated previously, he pulled a very Senior Civil Servant from his duties to work exclusively with the family on secondment. A 20 year one it seems.
This was long before any McCann fund could be set up with support from the public....

Was Definitely the parent's. Why else would Gerry have disappeared for 45 minutes that night. They drugged the 3 children with sleeping medication. I believe Madeleine woke up in the night and upon hearing her daddy's voice outside. She walked into the living room and climbed up on the sofa and went to knock on the window to get his attention. However because she was drugged up. She lost her balance and fell banging her head on the concrete and tiled floor. I believe Gerry found her there deceased. He panicked and emptied the holdall that was in their wardrobe with the children's dirty clothes in. He hid Maddies body in that holdall. Thats how come the dog picked up Cadaver smell in that wardrobe. Whilst Everyone else was in the apartment he disappeared and hid her body somewhere close by. Then I believe the following day once they'd been given a new apartment. He then took the body and holdall and kept them in the fridge in that apartment. Because they hired a car 21 days After she was supposedly kidnapped. Because they left All the doors on the rental car wide open 24/7 for a whole week. Even the one dog picked up Cadaver smells in the boot. And the other dog picked up on blood in the boot. The blood and fluid found both in the apartment on Kate's clothes and in the hire car. Was sent to the UK to be tested. And it came up with 15 elleils out of 30 as a match to Madeleine Beth McCann. You Only need 12 to prove a connection to a body for murder here in the UK. The narrative with the window being opened from the outside was only told 2 day's After she supposedly went missing. What kind of a mother who notices 1 of her children missing. Decides to go back to the restaurant 20 minutes away and leaves 2 more young children in the apartment Alone Again. If that was me they would've heard me screaming across the whole of Portugal. I would've been inconsolable. I wouldn't have been able to talk to anyone let alone the tabloids. I knew the First day they made that statement that the poor child Was dead at their hands. And Goncalo Amaral Was correct and his book " The Truth of the Lie". Was the Truth about what happened that night in that apartment. What Id like to know is. Who sent the spin doctor out there Clarence Mitchell?? How come the McCann's were Never charged with neglect when they came back to the UK?? There Was in my opinion Corruption at the highest level. They Know Exactly where Madeleine Beth McCann is. As they put her there. Thats Why her body has Never been found. Its Also Why they Refused to let the other 2 children be examined that night. They didnt even wake up when they were lifted from their cots that night. Despite there being a hive of activity in the apartment. Both dogs brought in from the UK. Both dogs found blood, fluids and scent of Cadaver both in the living room behind the sofa in the wardrobe and in the boot of the car. As for the German guy supposedly having took her. Hes just Another Scapegoat in a long line of other people who were accused and then found innocent. Pity the police couldn't check with the rental car company wherever they had been in that car. Because thats what they used to dispose of her body. I dont know how they sleep at night. All shes been to them is a cash machine. The amount of money they've made over the year's. She shed No tears neither of them did. I believe though that most of that group are Pedophiles and quite possibly poor Madeleine was being abused by one or more of them. That was Another reason to dispose of her body. They're a Thousand percent Guilty and Nothing will ever change my mind about that.

I am still baffled how they were not made accountable for neglect in regards to leaving their vunerable children ALL INFANTS home alone, abroad so they could SOCIALISE. Both of them decided that was OK BOTH normally you may see that with one person but both parents.

The PJ didn't believe the kids were left alone. There was an adult missing from the tapas table each night, who could have been overseeing/listening out for upset kids. What is what happened to Maddie was so bad the parents had to claim neglect!

Don't forget the other two couples did the same, night after night. Al their kids were younger than Madeleine. One of them on that fateful night was even gone for longer on that fateful night 'checking on all the children' because his own child had been sick and he said he'd had to change the sheets. Yes, that's right, he left a vomiting, ill toddler all alone, to go back to the restaurant to continue socialising with his wife and friends...

I remember Kate McCann scornfully telling reporters in a press conference once that it wasn't the parents fault that Maddie was abducted, it was the fault of the abductor.
While this is partially true, the fact is that if Maddie was indeed abducted, then it was absolutely at least partially the fault of the parents for leaving the kids alone while they went out drinking.
That total lack of guilt or display of any sort of acceptance of any blame on the part of the parents just didn't sit right with me.
She just came across as some sort of psychopathic narcissist trying to shift any and all blame away from herself and her husband.
Any normal person who had left their kids alone, and then their kid went missing, never to be seen again would have blamed themselves for the rest of their lives and would have been destroyed by the guilt that they would feel for leaving them alone.
Something definitely isn't right about them.

Foreign interference from the British was one of the reasons that the Portuguese Police could not do their work independently and properly in the early days of the alleged abduction of a foreign child.
Suddenly, a large number of important people urgently appeared on the McCanns doorstep in Praia da Luz, while Madeleine could have been found at such an early stage if she had walked away from the apartment or been abducted?

The cadaver dogs got a positive reaction in the apartment and their car , when asked about this by a Portuguese journalist Gerry told her to ask the dog , what kind of answer is that , the British press and government ought to be ashamed of themselves, they covered up for them and refused to entertain the notion that the parents had any involvement be it accidental or intentional.
