it doesnt make sense , if you were worried about your child not being in the bedroom and you couldnt see them in the bed, and it was dark, the first thing you would do was turn the lights on, you wont care if it woke them or not, you would be in such a worry and panic, hoping they were safe. For the life of me I can’t understand a parent that thinks it’s ok to put ur babies to sleep in a foreign country and walk out the door. Not even in ur own home in ur own country I can’t wrap my head around it. Is this a culturally British thing? Is this normal?
In the US if u did what the McCanns just admitted to which was drugging the kids with sleeping meds and leaving the home u would be arrested no questions asked. The very minimal charge you would be charged with is child neglect and child endangerment. Anything could happen. A fire, an accident, A BREAK IN! However it absolutely blows my mind how these parents talk about giving sleeping meds and leaving as if they did this often and was no big deal. No shame whatsoever. Like they don’t even know what the fuss is about.
I’m sorry but these 2 parents were the catalyst in their child’s demise.
After reading Christian’s accounts of what he wanted to do with a small child is heartbreaking. Horrific and I couldn’t live knowing someone sexually tortured my child. Not just assaulted but if he’s responsible it’s almost a given he tortured her because that was his means of operation given his arrest record. His crimes weren’t just assaulting but torturing his victims.
Poor beautiful little baby girl. As a mommy I would have taken myself out this world knowing that my small baby was tortured to death.

I believe that they over-sedated poor Maddie and that had tragic consequences and G & K had no other option (in their eyes) to create the mother of all cover-ups, carefully and clinically manufactured. Highly trained and sought after Cadaver dogs were flown in from the UK. G and K have constantly dismissed this evidence. The Cadaver dogs alerted police to human decomposition in G & K’s bedroom, behind a sofa, in a rental car and unbelievably on Maddie’s cuddle cat (her favourite soft toy) which Kate carried to every press conference but inexplicably washed before the dogs got there, this by the way did not stop the dogs alerting police to human decomposition. Oh, they alerted police to human decomposition found on Kate’s clothing.
Regardless, at the very least why G & K have never ever been charged with at least gross-negligence either in the UK or Portugal is beyond me. Lastly the entire focus since day 1 has been about tge G & K show, not focussed on where is our daughter? What happened to our daughter? Somebody, somewhere must know. No, none of that 😢

I don’t believe the parents are guilty of the actual crime because if they had actually killed her with an overdose of sedatives then when did they have the chance to hide her body! But the reason people think that they could be behind it is because they come across as cold, unfeeling and narcissistic and over defensive in their interviews and they come across that way because they are cold, unfeeling and narcissistic. Only cold selfish people could leave 3 toddlers unsupervised in not only a strange place, but also a place they could not keep eyes on the access points! Rather than admit their negligence and selfishness - yes because they chose to drink and party with their friends in a tapas bar rather than fork out for a baby sitter or gather with their friends in the apartment, they focus on defending themselves by saying they were checking on the children every half an hour and they were as close to them as if they were in the garden at home - which both are stupid excuses, because half an hour gives plenty of time for someone to break in and take the child and they may not have been very far away, but if you’re in your garden and your front door is locked, it is highly unlikely a stranger will attempt to break in when people are at home or to be able to get at the kids without being noticed. The parents are just as guilty as the abductor! And if the child (God forbid) is to be found dead - then they should be charged with neglect and manslaughter! I agree with Peter Bleksley - the police detective - these people should be charged with negligence - I do believe for the most part that they do care about their kids, but not more than they do for themselves - and the way they have conducted themselves, what with the PR machine and all that, speaks for itself.

Those whooshing curtains always make me laugh, who believes this nonsense? Kate was convinced that Madeleine had been abducted from the outset and yet she left the twins alone to run back to the Tapas restaurant. And she didn't phone the police nor did Gerry or any of their friends, the Tapas 7. That was left to the 24 hr receptionist, Helder Luis, and had nothing to do with the Tapas 9.
It's a pity no-one asked Kate to reconcile her whooshing curtains nonsense with what she said in her police statement of 4th May 07.

This is the first time they’ve changed that story slightly in public. It started out with the shutters being jemmied for access and exit if the apartment. They originally said they were using the front door for checking the children but changed it because witnesses would have noticed the key changing fiasco when they each did their checking shifts. So they changed it to the patio doors, which were not lockable from the outside so they reluctantly had to admit that the apartments were left unlocked. In this documentary, they say the “whoosh” was why they “originally thought the “abduction” was through the window”. Lots of lies and now more lies all to do with doors and windows alone.

I didn't turn the light on because of parental instinct??????
    Is she for real !!!
Then, she runs back to the restaurant leaving the twins vulnerable to being abducted too.
She didn't even bother closing the open window.
They took their kids to the kids club every day and picked them up at teatime then promptly put them to bed.
The fact they didn't take a pushchair with them proves they had no intention of spending any time with them.
Hardly a family holiday was it.

Exactly 👍🏻👍🏻 I'd rather stay with the kids at the vacation home. I'd die in sorrow instead of having a "good dinner and drinks .I wouldn't be able to eat. If they are guilty in any way on this horrible crime of killing a little girl by accident maybe? Was she really murdered? We can't say for certain these parents did it. But I had that wired feeling from the first moment that I saw their faces, too. But I realized some interesting stuff. Who is commenting on this subject?
Let's say; at least half of the active commenters here have sadly made scaring experiences in sexual abuse in any form, in any age. This is a horrible fact in itself. The statistics says over 50% children in the age from 18 month up to 17 t had been victimized sexualy abused and exploited worldwide. But I am sure - truth will find a way. But we should not judge, because there is justice. Trust me. The one who did it will be found, it's his destiny. I have experienced tthat this Karma-Thing is doing a good job. Always keep your mind in balance and be aware of the power of your thoughts and dark wishes. Back to the point. There are a lot of silent survivors and we need to understand the pain they are suffering on on and on, because this sad case is a TRIGGER for each victim out there. Of course they wish for an end and justice. And yes of course someone with this kind of abuse can *feel* the strange signs that marks every pedophile. It's the behavior, the way they try to manipulate their own body language. But micro expressions and micro muscular tensions can't be controlled easily. The emptiness of a faces mimic is, the more tense is the skin between forehead and lower cheeks. To me Mrs McCann seems to be under psychopharmaceutical medication. She seems unable to make any markable mimic expressions or having trouble with her facial muscles to contract. It's a side effect of most tranquilizers of the heavy stuff. I used to work as a social worker for young drug addicts. You learn about things you never thought they are really true or necessarytoknow about. It changes the way you look at things around your environment and you feel their pain and how they ended up is the result of our own helplessness to solve the dimensions of problems that are urgent. One of it in some city, there could be a girl with the name Maddie.... who would listen to the nightmares that might happened to her? The things she might had to do, to survive? We just don't know what really happened. But we all can feel as parents, there is something wrong with that couple...

The billowing curtains, the leaving the twins in the room, the immediate and to this day the unwavering conclusion that she'd been kidnapped. Just their lack of emotion during interviews (many of which they asked for!). Has anyone seen any actual tears shed? It's clear as day what happened - they over sedated her, she did wake up and went into the lounge, climbed up on the sofa to see if she could see her parents and fell down the back (the dogs alerted here) causing fatal injuries. The rest plays out as the big cover up. I think the so called bungling Portuguese police was exactly what they hoped would happen. They are guilty of manslaughter. Surely, a few years in prison can't compare to a lifetime of hellish regret, trauma, endless media in your face, of a constant effort to look your best at all times etc...

The children are unfamiliar with their environment . Even the simple fact of they could wake up disoriented . , start crying looking for you. Young children do wake up in different settings other than at home. I know this...I have 4. That act of leaving then completely alone just blows my mind. It is so irresponsible and risky even with a bit older children let alone babies!! I feel that those cadaver dogs cannot possibly lie .. something bad happened to that little girl and I believe it was an accident....at the hands of her parents. The absence of tears from these parents stumps me.....they cannot really be that cold and have no emotion... no tears? Come on. They KNOW what happened. The dogs were sent through quite a bit of subterfuge prior to the suspect crime scene and at least 10 different premises and 10 vehicles, they then moved the suspect objects (as they were shocked) to a totally different place and re-hid them under sand boxes, the sniffer dogs gave the same response in the new location.

    • @jezedwards3858
      @jezedwards3858 Před měsícem

That’s a good question but, this is one of the stories that has changed several times. Gerry even changed it slightly in this documentary. Fact is, in their original statements they said the apartment was locked and they were all using the front doors for checking. When the police started to question the whole “key handover” procedure, they realised eye witnesses would not be able corroborate it. So they reluctantly had to change the story to it being the patio doors, which were not lockable from the outside…so they were unlocked. As you can see to this day, the McCanns still like the “whooshing” story but, they’ve changed it to say “that’s what alerted them to the possibility of an abduction…but not through the window…” That first lie has caused them problems from the very beginning and is consequently still evolving.
