Love it, but are you going to cover the rebarb because won't it eventually rust?
I am so glad you asked about this. This is something that I debated for a long while before I started this project. I bought the green rebar paint that’s made specifically to protect against this but then decided not to do it. With the style of things that my MIL has on her deck, a little rusty rebar would actually work way better than the bright green. Plus, you don’t really notice it’s there unless you make it a point to look.
I may regret that decision at some point. LOL!
I have a plain, bare deck (no existing fence around it). I simply want to put up some pre-made privacy screens but I don't know how to attach them to the deck? Are there footings that you can buy to attach the screens to the deck? Many thanks.
Yes you can purchase metal brackets for the bottom of your frame that screw into the deck itself.

How did you attach the middle vertical support (4*4) to the base 2*4 ??
Trying to remember…. I’m pretty sure I screwed in larger screws at an angle… or used pocket hole screws. Either would work just fine. 👍🏼👍🏼

One question thought, do I must need to use that rod to hold it? I am in VA and don’t get heavy winds that often unless we get a storm or something here. What do you recommend? Thanks
Thank you for watching! The rebar is definitely not required. You could follow the same plan and remove that step with great success. I tend to overdo things like this from time to time. :-)

How did you attach the 4 x 4 in the middle? Did you use Pocket hole jig or toenailed the post?
I attached it with pocket hole screws but you could totally toenail it. Thx for watching!
