    Excellent project for anyone, but a really nice starter project for either move to another home and you finally have that patio space to entertain on. Or, for a first time buyer that ends up with a small patio on attached to their condo and needs a privacy fence plus decor. Nicely thought out design. Good beginner project, as they all are.

    I have one question....in your projects why dont you use glue.?

    • @tparsons13
      @tparsons13 Před 22 dny

      Same question here. On those 1"x2"s I would rather go with Titebond III (exterior rated wood glue) and brad nails (18 gauge). #8 trim head screws is overkill, risks splitting, and requires more wood filler.

    I don’t see where you mention it or show it, but do you use any exterior wood glue? Great build!!!

      I just watched several videos on this channel and didn't see a drop of wood glue anywhere. They seem to LOVE trim head screws and use them exclusively. In other videos they also suggest using treated lumber (or cedar) for outdoor furniture, which is not something you want to do. Do not use treated wood when skin (or food) contact is expected. Those chemicals may be good for preventing wood rot, but they're bad news for humans.

    Great video but you should have a respirator or mask of some sort on when you're cutting the boards and don't have sufficient ventilation. Otherwise you can get some really nasty cancers later
