- There are actually two truths about the Apple Vision Pro. I know that in today’s world, there’s a tendency to go to extremes when evaluating products. I think the Apple Vision Pro is the coolest - and technologically-speaking - the most impressive piece of consumer electronics I’ve used since starting this channel.
And at the same time, it’s a product I want everyone to test out - but most people probably shouldn’t buy - and not just because of the price. So how could both of these things be true - let’s talk about it.

Without question this device is the start of something big.
You’re absolutely right!!!
As someone with extreme motion sickness like you, i really appreciate you addressing this!!
This is much less likely to make you sick than earlier VR, especially if you don't use the fully immersive mode
So glad it was helpful! A bit more insight - I still can’t use it in a car - I get sick. I’ll test an airplane when I get a chance!
This will make you extremely motion sick, don’t listen to anyone who will tell you otherwise
I too am glad you brought up motion sickness. A couple of years ago I tried my son's VR headset and had to take it off quickly before I tossed my cookies. So when the Vision Pro was announced I thought "sure, I'll spend close to $4K to make myself puke". Having been reassured, though, I'm still not interested in the device, I'll stick with old school monitors.
Thanks Bryan! I should have made something else clear. I still can't use it in a car (I need to test a plane) but when I'm walking or sitting - it's amazing.
@@TechGearTalk I saw that you mentioned that in your reply to another person. I can't read in a moving car either except for a quick text response, and it better be quick, but I can read in an airplane (it's one of the reasons I like flying).
Wise discussion. We are "wearing the possible future" at this point
Great way to frame it
I use premiere, too, I don’t have AVP yet. even if it doesn’t have a 2nd screen, if Adobe released an AVP add-on app to work with your laptop and allows you to pop out your windows into their own floaters, that would be great!
100% agree with this!!!
Will there be a ultimate battery test between Samsung S: 23 vs 23+ vs 23 Ultra vs S24 vs S24+ vs S24 Ultra?
Such a good hook I’m so excited to watch this video
OMG - thank you so much. So excited to know what you think. Going to watch yours now!
How dare you present a sane and rational review in an age of extreme polarization when we all need our preconceived opinions to be reinforced. 😂
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You’re so good on camera !!
Thank you - you're super kind!
There is a lot of vr headset out there that cost around the same or more. They don’t come close to how well this headset works from Apple. The fact the varjo headset is like $8000 and it known for its great pass through . And Apple comes out at $3500 and it’s soooo much better. Same with the panels. Apples panels are the best available. Beats all these. $5,000-$10,000 headsets
Thank you for adding this perspective!
Ha! I can't wait!
Actually, adjusted for inflation, the price of the Vision Pro is half the price of the original Macintosh in 1984.
That was another new way to interface with your computer that was difficult to explain to people who hadn't tried it. Sure, the Macintosh had less RAM than the PC and wasn't even upgradable. It didn't have a numeric keypad. There wasn't even much software for it when it was introduced.
Who could have predicted Word, Excel, PageMaker, and Photoshop?
I'm watching all of these first impression videos, and they're all different but equally superlative.
Functionally, this seems to me to be a Really Fancy iPad.
Sure, several people want multiple displays for the Mac interaction, but, as you say, this is the first draft.
It's you early adopters who will show us what works and what doesn't.
So far, I'm mightily impressed. But my budget won't allow it and I don't know what I would use it for anyway.
I'll be fine with a new iPad mini when that's announced.
I'm eagerly awaiting your next video!
Thank you so much for contributing to the community!
Look I finally picked up the Vision Pro after almost picking it up on the first day. I’m someone who enjoys VR I have the quest two quest three I had the quest pro bold it. I have the PlayStation five VR and I think the quest three is by far the best. It’s almost as clear as division pro but with so much to do. Today, I played around with the Vision Pro and after two hours and realize there’s really not nothing you could do with it sure there’s a four minute really cool dinosaur movie but only one and sure you could watch a few 3-D movies on here but you could do that with any set well almost any set The games on here I downloaded most of them. Some of them are really bad. They like my first virtual reality game like the Lego game. I played it for five minutes and I would never touch it again so the little bit that I saw was cool not much cooler than the quest three but the quest three is so many really good games and other things to do with it whereas I end up keeping the vision Pro it’s really just to see what comes out in the future because there’s nothing to do on it now unless you want to see a race car in your living room but to me that gets bored in five minutes. And the headset feels nice because it’s metal and glass but after wearing a two hours my nose hurt matter fact, the quest three is a lot more comfortable, it’s cool to say you have the newest Torres and the newest tech but unless if you want to wear these to watch movies and you could use the quest three to watch movies this may be the first device I return. It’s either that or you wait and you hope something eventually comes out that’s cool and you also hope it happens before your glasses become outdated. At the end I was trying to watch the dinosaur movie again and I couldn’t get it to work, I’ve never had any issues with the quest two or three or pro. And wearing it to do work I don’t care what anyone says type in with your fingers takes 10 times longer than typing on the keyboard not even sure who would want to do that all day. It’s just a gimmick, and this is coming from someone who likes VR. I’m gonna do a review tomorrow, a review as an average person not somebody who caught up on the hype like you see all these, CZcams is with millions of views they get it for free so to them it doesn’t have to have any value we could just be a cool toy to play with a few times and then they’ll put it down but the average person spendingclose to $4000 to watch movies is crazy. We’ll see if I return it or not after I play with it again a few more days. Hopefully I get my review out soon. It won’t be as good as yours but it’ll be my take.
Thank you so much for watching and for adding your own, valuable perspective 🙏🏻
Good device. Its crazy to know this will be Apple's worst vision pro. Thanks for the video.
I couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come!!
your dog is so cute :)
Thank you. She is super sweet.
? The beginning was confusing original iPhone was compared to phones on the market it was so ahead , Vr been around over a decade , AR last 5 so there is something to compare it to it’s just leaps ahead in some ways n will only get better
I think we agree actually agree. I was talking about an iPhone now - (assuming it was a new product) - yes there are things you “can” compare the avp to but I think it’s far ahead technologically. (Obviously there aren’t enough apps - which is an big con at this time)
Just give me a vr version of this. No screen and just simple camera outside. Real controller or mouse kb support directly. no hand gestures. Make it alot cheaper then im good.
It’ll be interesting to see how this product evolves.
Weird. My video got cut off right at the end when you were talking about if we should spend our saved $4k on this… guess I’ll just have to wait until the next video to find out the answer? 😜
Thanks so much for watching - and for making me laugh! Appreciate you being part of the community!
Apple told me not compatible with M1 computer only M2 and above. Have anyone else hard the as? I see Reddit say some people are saying it works fine on M1 computers.
I’ll test it out tomorrow and let you know
why use that when you can get work done on your computer much more conveniently? 🤔
For me, the reasons are: Much larger screen, multiple windows.
Knock 50% off that price and I'd consider it.
I wish people would stop focusing so much on the product itself and more on the platform it’s introducing!
This!
Are you a speedcuber by any chance?
No I’m slow. I can do it between 40-60 seconds 😂🤣
Can two things be true? Yes. You say cool Apple Vision Pro. And I say, Apple Necromonger Lensors Pro.
You said you cant compare it to anything? What about the Quest 3? Thats apple to apple easily
I agree that the quest 3 is probably the closest to it (it has a significant advantage right now as far as apps etc.). If you try both - I’d be curious to know if you still think it’s apple to Apple. Please come back and drop me a line. Super appreciate you for being part of the community!
Well you see, then that'd make people have to admit the pass through is trash for what they're charging, and it's very uncomfortable over time, unlike the Quest 3. It's plainly obvious that a LOT of these "reviewers" are less 'reviewing the product' and more "Wanting to make Apple happy in hopes of getting early access in the future or keeping the early access they have". The REALITY is this is a $1000 headset that is MARGINALLY better than the Quest headsets but costs way way way more.
Just watched Jerry completely destroy one - he was very impressed with the build quality but it was hard to watch
I know right?! Like you don’t want to look and can’t look away
Interesting.
The price is insane... but clearly it will come down... I'd guess $2500 by late summer.
The notion of wearing this for more than an hour though... no thanks.
It’ll be interesting to see if the price comes down for this version.
I absolutely hate this. It will make us even less social than we already are, and especially now that we have people like Gen alpha, they will never get off of tech.
The technology is already hear and continues to evolve. I think the challenge will be in how to use it to become more social.
Yes two things can be true...... An example is I'm a male, and I'm bald.......🤷♂️
Waiting for xiomi to copy it so I can buy it😅
I'm sure similar products are on the way
The pass through is almost identical to the quest 3
I need to get one and test it. Thanks for the info!
Apple doesn't want it to be called AR or VR Device but actually it's exactly that. I think it's just a super expensive toy for freaky apple fanboys and fangirls because I don't see how in the world I could integrate this plastic brick strapped to my head into my daily life.
1:13 Except it's NOT A NEW TYPE OF PRODUCT. PLEASE can we stop pushing this nonsense talking point when talking about the AVP? It is NOT new. It is a VR headset with meh-passthrough that uses passthrough mode as it's main program. Ya wanna know why people in the VR space know this will "fail"? Because "VR" has already been tried over and over and has failed.
The iPhone did well because the "smartphone" WAS ALREADY a market proven to be successful. It was proven by Palm, Blackberry, and Microsoft. Same thing for tablets before the iPad, Apple's successes are due to them vastly improving a market THAT'S ALREADY DOING MODERATELY WELL. The ONLY notable exception to this rule is the smartwatch, but that ONE time does NOT prove this rule that Apple can always make unproven markets work. Most of their successes are in already proven markets.
The VR market has never caught on and is NOT doing moderately well.
Seems pointless, just another screen messing up eye vision
I think ocular health is a valid concern - I wonder what type of testing they did.
Are you an optometry? This thing won’t hurt your eyes more than your phone. You won’t be on this for more than two hours anyway. Your phone is worst on your eyes but you still use it, right?
@@APU658 are you a healthcare rapper? Oh thank you very much about your knowledge about phones being horrible for eyes. Just do the math on daily use, including your 2 hr limit, ask Google, then comeback here.
@@TechGearTalk indeed!
