Watch Gubera Express Volvo bus doing it's inaugural trip from Bengaluru to Ooty. This bus runs on Bengaluru to Ooty route early morning via the Bandipur Forest. This bus leaves from Majestic at 6:15 am and will reach Ooty by 2 - 3 pm. Then the bus would leave from Ooty by 3 pm towards Bengaluru. This bus is a Volvo B7R AC seater bus. This bus is an Ex SRS bus. However, the interiors still look good. The bus has been repainted and the seats have been worked on as well. The bus was full on its inaugural trip itself. The bus halted outside Mysore Palace for Pooja ceremony and then continued towards its journey. Two drivers accompany you on this trip. This bus is one of the earliest private buses to leave for Ooty. So people prefer it as it would drop Mysuru early as well. Both drivers drive the bus well. We reached Ooty by 3 pm. The delay was mainly due to Pooja Ceremony and then pick-up delays. We halted thrice on the way as passengers felt like vomiting. The journey is really beautiful and must try especially during summer season.

Way back in 1994 had been to Ooty (3n4Dpackage from Bangalore)..
Had a quick breakfast/ photo session at gudlur..& great feeling when you start feeling the chill after a certain height while climbing the neelgiri ghat.. 😘. . And yes... The traffic was less back then.

Bus is 11 years old and former SRS Travels, as per RTO.
Quick thought on this - don't you think old buses should charge lesser than newer one's. Or at least we need to some how know which is a new bus and which is older.

A valid point that old buses should charge a bit lesser than the new ones but on the busier routes of course .
This particular route actually is a seasonal one might peak in holidays and the rest would be dry runs.
