Ooty officially known as Udhagamandalam is a town and a municipality in the Nilgiris district of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km north west of Coimbatore ,100 km north west of Tirupur, 128 km south of Mysore and is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. It is popularly called the "Queen of Hill Stations". It was the summer capital of the Madras Presidency.

I personally enjoyed in Coonoor more than Ooty.
Previously, I had quit my job at Goldman Sachs in 2021 and left for solo backpacking trip for a month around north of India. It was my first time visiting Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Bir, Dalhousie, Manali and around Himachal. I met so many new people, different personalities and went on so many hikes and witnessed beautiful landscapes. All i feel is GRATEFUL!

Hi we stayed at The Hosteller Ooty and they did not check documents but they checked everything else in the car including our luggage
