Just ignore 95% of loot you'll be happier. Great game!
wait...why? xD
@spacefan36 there's SO MUCH. Don't be a loot hoarder in this game and it's more fun. You can spend hours just constantly upgrading for minor improvements - not worth imo.
Then run out of scroll and regret not loot a pillow on previous act
The amount of times I had over encumbered with with nonsense
I disagree, need more nails for all my footwear
Original Sin 1, while not as fleshed out as 2 or BG3, is just as good and worth a play through.
Thank you for notifying us!
I’ll thoroughly check it out then
Dos1 was brilliant.
I agree, played last year for a second time and for me has a bether overall combat
Dos 1 is just too cartoony for me which is odd as it's the only game in the whole series to look that way
@@punksnotdead5367its cause Larian almost went bankrupt so they had to launch something, they probably didnt finalise the art direction they desired till aftsr release and luckily DOS1 still sold vey well! allowing Larian to refine it's art style for DOS2 and likely the upcoming 3rd in maybe late 2025/2026
As much as I enjoyed DOS2, I’m very glad BG3 has an over the shoulder view like other 3rd person games. Made it much easier for me to enjoy and BG3 is amazing.
Extremely true!!!
I used camera mods
The best part of this game is the classless system you arent locked to only being a ranger but can turn into a tank or a necromancer or even a polymorphing death knight
the combat mechanics are godwokwn tier good.
DOS2 is basically a tech demo for BG3. Larian approached WoTC about making a DnD game shortly after they released DOS1, but they didn't think Larian had what it took. Thus, Larian poured everything they had into DOS2, and afterward WoTC changed their minds. Boom! BG3 was greenlight for Larian to make.
Really? That's super cool that they didn't give up after their first attempt and worked harder to get approved. Shows that they're really passionate about DnD.
@@brandondenny226 and envy from them too Lol
@brandondenny226 Jesus, I could only imagine what Bethesda would have done to butcher BG3 lol. Thank GOD Larian got the contract. They hit it out of the park and then some. Game of the DECADE, and that isn't an understatement.
@@brandondenny226While BG3 is amazing by Larian. I do think that Obsidian would've done it some justice too, it probably wouldn't be as good as what we got but still quality.
@@brandondenny226 WOTC accepted the deal after being shown a pre-release version of DOS2. Larian was working on BG3 before DOS2 officially released though with a smaller team at the start.
70h??? how the fuck u did that, took me over 100h
Speed run?
Took me 50 for mainstory + the sidequest I ran into
The guy never played it
@@susch7466depends on the difficulty, no way you beat tactician on 4 man in under 100h on the first run
200 for me, for first run
Don't forget mod support was incredible!
Odinblade my beloved
Wait really? Sold!
"To those about to triumph, we salute you".
- The Red prince
Though my favourite was Fane, but Red is a different kind of b@d@ss ..
Literally my favorite character
Fane is so good I can't NOT play as him.
@@adnaP_esreveR well I
Also romanced Sebille as fane cause she has thing for the dead 😂...
Anyways fane was a rouge build with geomancer for poison spell is just bad@ss
@@vivekkparashar6369 I did the same! Rogue Fane fucking slaps yeah. Undead Rogues are great, and Fane's overpowered Source skill takes it to the next level. He can lockpick without any tools, play dead if necessary and gets Time Warp. I know his canon class is a Wizard, but I can only ever play Rogue Fane...
You forgot to mention how almost all the lines, especially those of the origin characters, are voice acted.
Thousands upon thousands of lines, no matter how small, were voice acted meticulously. Also amazing music.
Borislav is a fucking fantastic composer.
No, they didn’t carry over game master mode into BG3. It’s confirmed to not be in the full game
I was about to say
Code wise it looks like it’s coming later. When you go to the multiplayer menu there’s a column for campaign name. Or at least they gave themselves the ability to add more campaigns later on
It has arrived
@@Apple-vm5gc really?? Havent noticed yet
I’ll give y’all a reason to play DOS 2, her name is Lohse, best wifu, super cool companion quest and the best reward, a kick ass song if you save her.
I played as fane, romanced sybille since has a thing for skeletons ...😢😂
But you save Lohse right? RIGHT? 😂😂
It's the red prince for me.
Nah, i prefer sebille, not gonna lie, at first her "quirky edgy" persona in the boat just made me think "cool" but tough she wouldnt be anything to write home about, then the "queen roleplay" scene in the boat at the start of act 2 just melted my heart....
I have 400 hours in DOS2, it's one of my favourite games. I was sceptical about BG3 since I knew it didn't have action points and I had no idea how D&D worked. They're now both in my top 5 games.
If you play this game DO NOT TOUCH THINGS THAT YOU DONT KNOW THE PURPOSE OF my kill record went from like 50 to the population of a whole city including women and children(don't ask) cause I was fucking around and I was curious😅
My poor "good guy" play through
The greatest game I have ever played.
My first play through of Dos2 took me over 100 hours. Same with bg3 I’m 80 hours in and just made it to the city 😂
what do you mean? I'm 90 hours in and still wandering around in the underdark 😂
@@angelcrush3320 I played 100+ hour of early access so act one was basically a speed run for me. I spent 70 something hours in act 2
Story clearness : Bdg3 > Dos2
Story ending rich-fullness : Dos2 > Bdg3
Battle : Dos2 > Bdg3
Depth : Bdg3 > Dos2
Animation : Bdg3 > Dos2
personal experience
Yess great thank you!
I was waiting for someone to say this!
Everyone’s all up on that baldurs gate 3 train, when divinity OS 2 already did that gameplay.
In reality I just want people to ALSO check out DOS2 because it is absolutely worthy of high attention, of equal caliber to BG3
Been playing this lately and I have been loving it so far
Actually, I truly think that divinity's combat is actually better than baldur's Gate 3 because you can control the battlefield with magic. DnD skills are not meant to be that impactful, thus making combat different. The armor system is also incredible since it avoids streak of misses on rolls like I'm dnd
@@sekaikage That's one of the funny parts of the game. It does not need to be all that balanced because the AI is on the receiving end, not players.
@@sekaikage I don't think it is boring, tbh. Of course, if you Min-Max everything this kind of thing will happen, but I played very casually and it was pretty okay.
I liked comat in divinity better too, but in baldurs gate you don't start every fight in a disadventige position. don't miss that part 😂
I disagree, I prefer the combat in Baldurs Gate because it's more "realistic" with less magic and less effects.
Such a fun game, ive played DOS2 so many times. High reccomend it for anyone who has enjoyed Baldur's Gate 3
After playing Baulders Gate 3. I'm going to try and give this another chance. It was a really difficult game to get into.
And the best part: gameplay isn't based on DnD 5E.
It would have been the other way around because I played and loved DOS2. "You'll love Baldur's Gate 3 if you were excited about DOS2." Eat your heart out by the way, BioWare.
Masterpiece of a game, just like Baldurs Gate 3
You could beat this pretty quick if you know what you’re doing casually moving along. But I have like 500 hours in this thing lol
oh brother, got already 2.9k hours in divinity original sin 2
Also, in my personal opinion, a better and more fleshed out game in terms of moment to moment gameplay. Larion did a hell of a job translating a tabletop rpg into a videogame, but Divinity was built from the ground up as it’s own system.
Great game. I loved the modding community too. Made so many connections getting on their discord to find a group.
Odin is among the best. _Fantastic_ class mods, if a little...overpowered, at times.
DOS2 Great game, finished it multiple times. The only reason im not playing it again, or getting into Baldur's Gate 3, is it will definitely mess up my sleep schedule. I can't afford that with my current work and studies.
Lmao real I’m sleeping so poor this week, but it’s fun 💀
Played Divinity before getting interestsd in BG3. Love it so much.
I'd argue that " kill every NPC and nobody cares because they all exist for 1 quest each" is a negative
I loved this game, i had 3 different playthroughs. One of my own, one with my best friend/brother where we just went with what happened, and my very first playthrough with my bro, his bro some guy i didnt know(the worst playthrough i experience i had, because we had to follow what he said and didnt allow freedom or fun.)
You're so riiiight!!! I'm doing that right now tbh lmao waiting for the money for bg3
It seems interesting, but I don’t think I can get over the lack of voice acting. Still I hope that if Larian makes DOS3, it will be voiced because I am very excited to see more of what they can do. It’s been a month since the release of bg3 and im still playing it. Clearly they knew what they were doing, because it’s risen above Persona 5 and another game which shall not be named, to take my number one spot in the greatest games of all time. So if they continue to make incredible games, I have no doubt that the years will only make their games better than the last. I also want to see what their original IPs can do and how they differ from BG3. I just need to be able to play it modernized and clean.
What lack of voice acting? I put 66 hours into it to get almost to the end of Act 2 and I have only ran into a handful of lines without voice acting., nothing important just some NPCs commenting on minor things (no convo, just passing by)
@@janmiazek1390 really? well maybe I will try Divinity Original Sin 2 then. I just heard someone say it didn’t have as much VA.
@@maxkrepps9474It definitely has lots of voice acting as most dialogue is voiced. It just isn't as cinematic as Baldur's Gate 3, but the story is still great and has some of the same banter you expect.
People forget that this game is a direct sequel to "Conkers Bad Fur Day". They wanted the game to be taken more seriously with the Divinity title and Ben Ifan-mezd is actually Conker.
Are you fucking with people with this? Or is this for real?
Also looks great!
it takes you more then 70h .. if you want do all the stuff its like 120 / 140 h
Dos 2?
Strange bc im at 150 hours in and about 20% the way through on my honour run for platinum.
@@inthebeginning4751 lol xD.. i mean if you windows-shopping always and just running around instead of striving forward ..yes xD
i did honour solo with fane this year.. took me 90 hours..
i mean i have over 900 hours play-time on steam xD
tell me when how much hours you needed with your playtrough
So far I am loving baulders gage 3 and I think divinity is just as good both worth your time and great bang for your buck games
I feel bad. Played with friends who did half of the tutorial city and rushed me through everything which ruined my enjoyment of the game and now it's difficult to go back.
Played BG3 with a different friend, told him about my bad DoS2 experience and the friend proceeded to do the exact same thing which made me stop playing. Luckily I came back to BG3 after a few months.
Just note that playing an origin is kinda a must. Customs in Dos2 are super flat..
I wish it would go on sale on xbox already
$20 rn
Thanks I just bought it. Love u
Awesome have and the most badass elves ever
It's really great on Switch, if anyone was curious. Once you practice a bit on the tutorial deck, it's a breeze
I've tried DOS2. I bounce off at Fort Joy every time. I just can't get into the game.
My friend and I put literal HUNDREDS of hours into it. We absolutely love it.
I put so many hours into fort joy because it’s a content mine, there is so much lore there to explore and learn about
I quit once i got on the boat after act 1. I feel like its not as simple and easy to get into as baulfers gate 3. I just feel overwhelmed by it and not knowing how i should build my characters. But it was really fun. I think ill play BG3 and then go back to this game.
@@graxo3752 Yes, Baldur's gate takes a lot from dnd 5e which has simple mechanics because players would have to keep track and correctly apply those mechanics themselves, but a computer can automate the process so their original rpgs are more complex
@@graxo3752I’m happy to hear you have plans of going back to it after BG3
I loved that game even though the middle part felt really heavy compared to the 1st and 3rd acts. I also disliked how slow the ai for the enemies was. My longest battle was 40 minutes because of terrain 😂
ie been a massily long time diehard fan of the divinity series (tho no all of them were "great". divinity original sin 2 however is a game i CONSISTANTLY return to, ever since it came out. even now after 4 campaigns of baldurs gate 3, i wanna play this again
I've had dos2 since it's release on Playstation, and I pre-ordered baulders gate 3.
why does this guy pronounce stuff like an AI would lol
bro said everything normal except rivelon, why you up his ass over a singular world?
@@kaldaer7366 "Original Sins 2," "Rivellion," "VoidWOKEN." Dude pronounces 3 things weird in a 40 second video lmao
"Rivell I on". No offence to the video poster though. Although this is pretty funny
Played the hell out of DoS 1&2. Played the hell out of it again with mods
I cant wait to see what people cook with BG3 mods. There's already some really cool ones frm some 5E spells to new classes and very ncie QoLs. The hairstyle,, face mods have been awesome as well. The characters look so good in cinematics. I made a really cute tiefling and gave him a softer TAV voice mod which fitted him perfectly(there's some issues like random lines being in the old deeper voice but those cant be turned off.)
Tho i will wait for more time until more unique, properly done ones come out so i can exp more content.
The only two bosses I had an issue with was 'The Harbinger' and the last fight (stage 2).
Dos2 was the first game I ever got to 1k hours. Amazing game
I played DOS 2 like 800+ hours and still in my top 5 games along side BG3
Best PC game I ever played. Hands down.
Yep, I bought this on sale in 2020 and played it for like 200 hours, it's essentially the same game but baldurs hate has just slightly better graphics and a few new mechanics. It's amazing, currently doing a red prince summoner run until I can afford Baldurs Gate 3 for myself 😂😂😂
U lie!! It's never about 70 hours!! It's much much more ❤
I’ve started playing the game and it’s super fun but I kinda wish there was some more player species options. Because it’s like dwarf, lizard person, elf, human then an undead skeleton version and that’s it. The games super fun just one of my nit picks
Remember elfs eat people in this game.
Honour mode only for full enjoyment!
Currently my second favourite game. Guess my number 1
70 hours is Very conservative amount considering the 30 hours IT tooke me to get to driftwood
Sebille, the only reason I like DOS2 more than anything.
I haven't played any of deep RPGs outside Fallout 2. In fact I was mostly an RTS guy. But I really liked their ideas so I decided a few years back to try out Tyranny as most people described it as light version, which is good introduction to isometric RPGs due to being shorter then most. Plus bronze age setting looked awesome. Long story short, the clubkiness of it all mostly turned me off, starting with my biggest gripe - inability to make characters hold their ground unless I go full manual mode. Without that I can't utilize proper positioning like elevation, chokepoints, etc. The staples of tactical combat. It was a rather short and painful experience. I loved the RPG choices dependent on background and skills, the need to rotate or leave behind companions to get the needed results or prevent them from witnessing something(I was trying to go for "loyal rebel" ending. If you know, you know). The combat was complete turn off. As a result I haven't even tried Pillars of Eternity and the rest of the genre... and then JA3 revived the series and picked my interest. It may be not as deep for RPG part, but reactivity of the game may be able to make up for it.
Maybe you will like XCOM 2
I thoroughly enjoyed Divinity original sin 1
70 hrs to complete? I spent 40 hrs on the beginning island 😅
Besides Divinity, what other games like BG3 ahould I try out? I think i finally found my RPG genre as a working adult.
its the world of Rivellon
I don't why but I bored quickly. But I'm excited for baldurs gate 3
Divinity Original Sin 2 is good. Would’ve preferred it had cinematic cutscenes. I also didn’t like a certain something that happens after act 1 finished (You’ll know if you played the game). I hope to enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3 even more.
I think Original Sin 2 still was mechanically the better game. More elemental combinations, more satisfying combat system, more things to explore. But, I didn‘t like the characters. Still, overall it still is the better experience in my opinion.
Red Prince and his story are amazing.
@@KevinSmith-ln8dv Agree, red prince as a character and his accompanying story is amazing
@@keepmgsI died a little in a good way when he gave me a job interview to be his slave
we need this gm mode for bg3!
tomorrow i tried to play honour mode - IT'S A TORTURE...
Such a good game
Unless cut scenes are a requirement
I wanna like it but the armor system and how you have to stack your party for one type or the other really puts me off.
Divinity 2 was hard and there was a lot of secrets.
I found the DOS2 put way too much emphasis on ground effects for damage. I was worried BG3 would be the same but thankfully it was not
I just couldn’t get into DOS2 same with DOS1, (I dunno maybe it was the art style , the humor and the writing of the characters mainly )so I was worried that I wasn’t going to like Baldurs gate 3 either but no , I like it so much , its different , sure it has some similarities with the Divinity series but its pretty much a game of its own! I recommend it
Amazing way too much fucking loot tho 😂😂😂
D:OS2 is superior. By all means. ;-)
i luv da leezord
Just a quick clip of the END GAME FIGHT in there? Are you serious?! I'd be livid if I hadn't finished yet
You should delete this, there IS NO CONTEXT there, no one would even bat an eye that it was the final fight, specially if the person didnt know... if IT WASNT FOR THE ASSHOLE in the comments saying it was the fucking last fight, now b cause of YOU i was actually spoiled.
The only people that weren't surprised at the massive success of BG3 were DoS2 players.
Black hole spell is op
110 hours for me and still on act 2
IVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE THIS AUGH DIVINITY 2 IS A FUCKING MASTERPEICE
Rivellon!
440 hr. for Dos2(Divinity Ori sin2)
While their older games are dated, you should play them. A lot of the lore is tied to older games. The first Divinity, you actually play as Lucian, The Divine. Even eco Dragonis is pretty good. Though the older games are rather different to this.
And it has multiplayer this game really is amazing
What are the chances Larian develops a sandbox mode or a way to create your own campaigns in BG3?
I could see a mod being made to do something like that, but I think Larian could absolutely go in that direction themselves, maybe at least a campaign inspired by the original sin games
The best game
Is divinity 2 independent from the first game?
I think the games end bugged out in me the only time I tried a full play through. Couldn't finish. That being said addicting as hell, and it doesn't hold your hand on leveling
BG3 is great but tbh I enjoyed Divinity 2 more, I dont know why.
me too
NECROFIRE
My first ever rpg was dragon age, which jesus christ i had to learn quick cause of how clunky and unforgiving that game is. BG3 has but nothing but a masterpiece so far
About 1/3 into DAO, I was playing every combat fully turn-based while micromanaging my entite party. Morrigan and her CC was essential.
70 hours?! 70 hours?!
my first playthrough took me over 300. who beat the game in 70 hours?!
I prefer them to focus on one universe.
Genuinely I prefer DOS2 over BG3. Sure it's not as deep or intricate, but I do prefer the combat and fluid system better...
Most importantly, I think the story itself is leagues better. It's not that BG3 is bad, but DOS2's own story, companion stories, it's twists and turns, it's just out there.
It's has a dungeon maker? 👁️👁️
