  • AWAKEN the POWER of your original 125 & 150cc cykinder. it can be optimized. u reach 177cc power! its called #Otuning :) :P
    0:00 intro
    0:09 cylkit pics
    2:01 foot porting
    3:16 exhaust porting
    5:27 piston games
    6:28 pic slide show
    8:56 cylinder timings
    OTUNING STEPS
    1) cylinder porting
    2) exhaust port width & shape (=cyl timings)
    3) piston opening
    MORE TUNING STEPS:
    4) cyl head: sandpaper it down, to get more compresssion
    5) intake timings extension: crank & case intake opening
    CYLINDER TIMINGS:
    Cyl: the usual tiny blow down needs to be extended. 27,28,29 recommemded
    Transfer port timings: 116-120 recommended, if lower u need to raise the cyl
    INTAKE TIMINGS
    a) the rotary valve tolerance needs to be 0,05mm! (crank VS case)
    b) then u can realize intake timings up to 200 degree
    open intake to the back
    If u set the timings right and use a proper exhaust port shape and width, there is no trial and error with port exit channel edges needed ;) i never touch it beside rounding sharp edges.
    this cylinder was a present for Yoke DanuPat in bangkok, enjoy!

    I did everything with you tube clip. Expanded carburetor. Exhaust made more fluid. The engine is more elastic and pulls better. The transmission may be shorter. I am very satisfied. With minimal investment, I got a much better engine.

      no worries. all engines run fine. the limit where it gets dangerous, is never overstepped of course. thats self explaining.
      original exhaust ports are very tiny. u can widen them quite much, without any danger.
      the secret is to round the edges, if they are too sharp, rings might get damaged, thats true

    I have a veloce with a 22/22. Inlet of engine case matched to it and inlet opened to give it a longer inlet time.
    It runs great and super smooth. The only thing I would want to change is to let it rev a bit higher. What is it that limits the revs so much on these original cilinders, exhaust port timing and volume?

    I gonna try on 52.5mm set of lml 125. I hope similar performance as 150 5 port are achievable. I was very happy with 150 5 ports, mazzu full circle, boysen reed valve and scootopia big box exhaust. Drt 23 cogs as well did pretty good job. Now I want run similar setup but with 52.5mm cylinder with your mods.

      no, thats too much expectation. 13-15 instead of 9hp original = +50% with box, it has small channels which limit, dont forget.

It s 12 hp from the factory and i think that 18hp is the maximum limit...........but you know better. I would like to see how much do we have to open the ports, and the box with the fake ports and by using reed valves do we have to open the rotary valve distance??? and many others things from a specialist !!!............before spending our money on a tuning kit :(

      @FreakMoPed8  Před 5 lety +1

      the money on a tuning kit is well spent, 18hp is not reachable with the original 200cc cylinder, it simply has too small ports....

      With that 150 o tuning, is that need to advance the timing at the stator plate or just stand at IT mark?

    • @fabiotiburzi
      @fabiotiburzi Před 3 lety

      I did it. It depends on what do you want to do. 60 mm stroke with 110 conrod is more powerful, but you need also more fuel. If you do a 57 mm stroke here's what I did. I raised 1mm the cylinder and 2-3 mm exhaust (because mine was a knockoff) to make transfer port from 108° to 115° and the exhaust from 150 to 175°. Then open the exhaust up to 65% bore. I noticed that the exhaust duct was a little small so i enlarged by 4-5 mm. If you are on reed valve, optimize the front exhaust transfer port to the valve. If you are on rotary, do the usual stuff (cut 15mm on the cranckshaft and balance it on the other side and cut the rotary valve to the famous 120 before tdc and up to 65 after tdc. I went from stock to 13-14 hp and now it is a monster

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  Před 3 lety +1

      the lml is not reallt worth it, very low timings which means you have to lift the cyliner quite high = shorten it on top. Better take a vmc superg

    Just want to describe my engine so someone can take some benefit of it:
    150 tuned (original timing 150/120, tuned 180/120)
    Piston only removed the two reinforcement down on the "mantello"
    New drt storke 60 conrod 105 (now the timings of the cylinder are 186/126 placing an 1.5mm down the cylinder)
    crankshaft retarded of 10° and the suction valve is 120/60
    26 pinasco spaco
    22/68 (too long, cant use the 4th gear, stops at 6000 rpms i need to place again the 20/68)
    Tested with expansion chamber and a normal box exaust ( ricambio rapido road racing) and if impressive with the expansion exaust.....
    its like to have a exaust valve, once you pass 6000 rpms it gives you an impressive boost and brings you ut to 8000 rpms in 1,2,3 gear...
    but at the end it stops at 95 kmh since the 4th gear dont go up more than 6000 rpms...
    same speed, just some more torque on the low revs, with the box exaust, just less boost once passed the 6000rpms...
    probably gonna place the 20/68 and keep the expansion, really good sound and impressive power...

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you for the detailed info! . your timings are too high, try get lower. Not the power turbo kick and makes you fast, a wide band does. thats why it doesnt pull the 4th i would have recommendd 118/174, the thing is that with tunung you need a LONGER transmision usually, and you are still faster as the short one. A short one would throttle the engine / cut its power
