@@alexchang1878 oh it’s very true. Nigel Jones came out and said he despised Carlos and if you look up Carlos Lastra exposed, you’ll see the messages between Carlos and Nigel
These videos focused on beginners and the basics are great. It's fun seeing the crew do crazy stuff, but these ones are why I suggest the channel to everyone who expresses interest in skating.
Derek represents a huge number of skaters who are at or near this level. To see him progress is important for skaters like me and skateboarding in general. Videos like this inspire people in a way that video parts can not. The average person can relate to this and progress in their own skating. Great work, guys 👍

I like the seeing the learning of others. I learned Ollie still, Ollie moving, Ollie over a crack or line, then up and down a curb and by then my Ollie was just comfortable. So tweaking the height was just like bringing my knees up to get higher 😊

I have a video idea for you. Me and my boys were at the skatepark yesterday. I got a new blind board it's kicks are ways steeper than I'm used to. Which led us into a discussion of concaves and steepness of kicktails. And I think it would be a great video if y'all just did some skating on different types of boards and explain the differences between mellow concave steep concave steep kicks mellow kicks I'm sure y'all done one before but an updated video would be awesome.

You're getting so much better! I noticed in the successful ollies, he had his footing prepped and was already knees bent, where on the unsuccessful attempts he was rushing to adjust his footing and crouch at such a last moment. Maybe try to have more runway so he can be crouched and ready like 5 feet before the obstacle? Either way great progress

Man I remember I used to Ollie 3 decks interlocked and they were all like 10 inches then. I probably couldn't Ollie over a couple interlocked 8s now 😅👴
my ollies are high and i can land them but for some reason it seems like my back foot just leaves the board then comes back it doesnt stay with the board like i see most skate boarders do is there a way to fix that ?

I remember being a kid and learning to ollie and then realizing that in order to ollie over a crack or up a curb, you actually have to gap an entire skateboard length just to clear a crack

I got an idea for a video for the Braille House Crew!! Lets see a Jaws inspired video where the whole crew goes out and explores to find and do sets of stairs from 1 to how ever many the Braille Crew can get too! I think the street view and the committing to doing bigger sets will be great content!! BUT!!! You all have to wear helmets! Cause lets make wearing helmets cool! Look at Andy and JD! the reason they go big is their skill... and head protection!!
