- Slovakia's populist prime minster Robert Fico has been shot and injured.
Witnesses said four shots were fired, and Mr Fico was hit in the stomach.
A suspect has been detained.
Mr Fico has been accused of moving Slovakia towards Russia and away from the West, and of supporting Moscow in the war against Ukraine.

Some people died in prisone at the time when Fico was in opposition. Fico himself got arrested 4 times for ridiculous reasons. Some of his friends e.g. Mr. Kičura was held 18months in prison without trial, he got his assets frozen. Police also captured Kičuras 84years old father and broke two of his ribs. Died on covid in hospital where he went to treat thouse ribs. And that is just tip of the iceberg.
