- 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV startup in electric mode.
The Outlander is based on the new Nissan Rogue but the powertrain in the PHEV is by Mitsubishi.
The chime is different from the Rogue though, with a cool startup animation. The PHEV has a higher pitch chime than the normal Outlander and a exclusive ready to drive chime, nice touch.
I love this chime, I also like the ready chime
In the PHEV models the chime is high pitched compared to the regular model
i was on the phone with my friend and she said it sounded like cocomelon and i explained to her what it was and she said it still sounded like cocomelon. i despise cocomelon with every fibre of my being but i liked the vid tho :)
Mitsubishi definitely took that screen from Nissan
Probably, because this is a car based on the Nissan Rogue, but they changed enough to make it not feel like a direct and lazy rebadge. For example shown in this video the chime is different, also the PHEV powertrain is made by Mitsubishi and not available on any Nissan Rogue.
@Strikefre I'm assuming you're asking why the chime is different and I'm guessing to keep the two cars different in some way
@@misccarvids More than likely, I saw one in person one time and the shifter was also ripped straight from the Rogue too so I'm wondering how much of the two cars have in common since it seems a lot has been shared between the two
