2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV startup in electric mode. The Outlander is based on the new Nissan Rogue but the powertrain in the PHEV is by Mitsubishi. The chime is different from the Rogue though, with a cool startup animation. The PHEV has a higher pitch chime than the normal Outlander and a exclusive ready to drive chime, nice touch.

if you leave the car without changing the shift, will the car lock automatically and shift to the P? If so, you never need to shift when you want to get out of the car which is amazing in my opinion.
Exactly! Same thing goes for older version of the Model 3 and other Tesla's
it throws itself into park when you take your seatbelt off or open the door. and yes it autolocks

Well this is a lower trim and also this generation Camry initially launched in 2018

Mitsubishi definitely took that screen from Nissan
Probably, because this is a car based on the Nissan Rogue, but they changed enough to make it not feel like a direct and lazy rebadge. For example shown in this video the chime is different, also the PHEV powertrain is made by Mitsubishi and not available on any Nissan Rogue.
@Strikefre I'm assuming you're asking why the chime is different and I'm guessing to keep the two cars different in some way
@@misccarvids More than likely, I saw one in person one time and the shifter was also ripped straight from the Rogue too so I'm wondering how much of the two cars have in common since it seems a lot has been shared between the two
I'm having a hard time determining which is more annoying, the Nissan chime that's been used since like 2004 or the Chrysler chime

Nissan is worse, but they have updated it on their newer models. I don’t have an issue with the Chrysler chime, it just sounds like a standard car chime, nothing special.

I do not have my hands on an Outlander right now or for the foreseeable future unfortunately, but if I ever do, I will try to.
