That's one incredible purpose built Thar. Kudos to the owner. However just one question, wouldn't lifting that tyre from the roof rack be difficult? It's definitely gonna be heavy but was that more logical than placing the Jerry can up top?
I think so too. Now it is a two person job.
these tyres are less punture prone so only 5% chances of replacing Stepney... and 2nd thing is saving you from tyre theft ...3rd save you from unpleasant noise when to mount tyre on rear tail gate and doing off roading

I read down below lot of folks talking about modifications are not legal. What sort of modifications we are talking about here? is adding a roof rack considered as modification. Cos i see a lot of Innova cars on road all having racks. Help me understand.

So what happens if his Jerry cans are full of fuel and he gets rear ended on the highway... Doesn't seem very safe or is there like a bash plate to prevent that from happening
It feels high enough but yes, it may be a safety concern. Will ask them.
@@abhinavbhatt fuel explodes only in compressed situation or there is ignition ....of an car rear.ends ..it will just crank like bucket of water that's all ...Jerry cans in any position is not new jeep or suv world ia using them from world war time

Hey Abhinav, I was really curious as to the exact specifications of the rims and tyres on this vehicle. If you could kindly point them out.
Rims are probably Chinese. Tyres are 265/70 R16 BFG KO tyres.
@@abhinavbhatt So, hypothetically, will these wheels be less durable than the steel ones which you have on your Thar or are they just aesthetically different?
I don't think anyone will push them hard enough that they will break. But theoretically, steel rims will be harder to break. Steel bends, alloy breaks.
Customing is not like he did, i ll do, its more like hw we want our jeep or car to be .. so guys do not copy from others, come up with ur convinent, classic customs do the best, but abhi does the rest😆 no mods are customs is complete without ur narration budyy. It’s bn years from its launch and still on cosmetics flair. It wud hv bn super fantastic if people had come up with some after mrkt solutions for performance. Anyways well done. What’s the tyre size and the availability in India?
aftermarket performance isn't that easy. its a new car,hence the ecu needs to be cracked to perform serious mods to it. however I have come to know that the job has been done,and some companies have even started offering remaps for this car. beyond that honestly,something like a turbo or supercharger wouldn't really help the car in the purpose it was made for-offroading. But hey! that's more of a customer choice,and since ecu remaps are available,we might as well see some turbo builds soon : )
@@vedantawasthi5410 hi man, ur reply makes sense. however i was on the other side i mean, off-roading performance solutions like...heavy duty pully, on board air compressor, abs kill switch, additional intercooler, bonnet hood exhaust fan to vent the heat, offroad upper control arm, offroad lower control arm, off-road suspensions, curtain air bags installtion and its engagement switch, spacers for better traction, cabin rollover protection.....like this plenty.....anyways people may take some more time to realize all those stuff in India! stay blessed!

See, mods are always use specific. How much off roading will a person do? How much is a person willing to spend? Usually a set of AT/MT tyres and a bash plate is enough. And there is no upper limit of what all can go on the vehicle.

Issue with these mods is that the Thar roof is susceptible to leakages and the chemical binder connecting the composite roof to metal body is frequently reapplied. The roof mods comes in the way of the chemical treatment.
Question 1 . Which THAR is favorable for offroading in hilly area as Ladakh or spitti Valley. Hard top or soft top. I am confused to take decesion

7 kmpl???!! Abhinav put a disclaimer somewhere for the faint heated people like myself.
If you are not driving a lot, then 7 kmpl is not too bad. Remember, you also get to keep a petrol car for 15 years instead of 10 for diesel. So, ultimately, it all balances out.
@@abhinavbhatt what is your opinion on the whole "your car is only good for 10 years" and after that it's scrap. Really bugs me because I don't want to part with my diesal fortuner that's about to hit 10 years. It still runs like new.if it weren't for the the regulation I could have used it for 20 more years. Its that well made.
It's crap. I believe there should be a once a year fitness test and we should be allowed to run the cars as long as they clear that test.

I read today that even action cameras on motorcycle helmets aren't allowed anymore there. Just a sad sad situation.
