The boulder that made the rock! Smell it chumps and jabronis.
I like that lol "The boulder that made The Rock".
So, his daughters must be pebbles???? 😱
Eric Tolbert I like that name
marcus24000 his mom would be more worthy of the title of "mountain". His dad is the Boulder that made the pebble that eventually became "The Rock"
Eric Tolbert good one
I'm glad that Mr. Rocky Johnson lived to see the immense success of his son professionally & privately
God rest him forevermore
He son really out shined him...........
@@flowersandcandyflowersandc9093 it's definitely what every parent want out of their kids

In memory of Rocky Johnson
1944 - 2020
I remember meeting him at the River City Wrestling Con in Jacksonville, Florida back in June 2019!
R.i.p Rocky Johnson you will be missed
Austin Dickerson so did I!!!
Awesome!! RIP Rocky Johnson!!
No matter what, Rocky was a very good friend of mine ever since we met in Jacksonville. I may miss him a lot, but he was the athlete and WWE superstar I remember enjoying the time with at the River City Wrestling Con in Jacksonville, Florida. I am planning to return this summer to see Sergeant Slaughter and Mick Foley by the way.
I met him in Tampa several times! I used to help Dawyne and a couple other kids steal beers from Rocky, Hulk Hogan, Greg The Hammer and a who ever else was there at the time!
The notion of Rock playing his own Dad in That 70's Show is a GENIUS bit of casting.
Rocky Johnson: "be yourself and call yourself the rock"
Strong statement by his dad 😢💪💪💪
Dwayne actually took that advice when he return and work as heel in 97
Both Dwayne and Rocky stayed very close to their ex-wives even after remarrying
One of the millions...and millions...that claim right to have the Idea for that name...
The father of one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time & the highest paid actor in the world.
Let that sink in.
shut up.
adu1991 not only that, the rock is a nice person. i think that is best part :)
+massdagod
Trash talked by many. Hated by some. Guess how many fucks I give? It’s less than one.
marcus24000 nobody cares about what you think bro. stfu!
Chris Huey i ain't no crybaby, rock will never be better than austin & hogan. DEAL WITH IT !!!!!!!!!
His dad remembers everything, God Bless the original Rock.
The original rock? You mean Don Muraco? What does he have to do with anything?
Briandrum Rocky Johnson is The Rock's dad, so he called Rocky Johnson the original Rock out of respect.
Mobin Kiadeh I know what he was trying to do, but the facts are, Rocky Johnson was never called The Rock. Don Muraco was. In fact, Dwayne wasn't totally sold on using the name "The Rock" when it was first brought up to him out of respect for Don Muraco.
Briandrum at first, Don Muraco was called "the Magnificent" Muraco. Later he was called the Rock.
Briandrum Rocky Johnson debuted in the wrestling business 6 years before Dan Muraco... and people did nickname him "Rock" for short. So get your facts straight.
Rip Rocky Johnson praying for the rock and Johnson family
So sad...but you are absolutely Gorgeous
Nadia Borzacchini hi 👋
Damm you to cute 😍 baby what's your phone number#Nadia Borzacchini
Incognito Fool what a bizarre comment
Nadia Borzacchini hi 👋
This is a real man with integrity, no wonder why Dwayne turned out the way he did. Great Family
R.I.P “Soul Man” Rocky Johnson 🙏🏾
This is a true father right here. Very inspiring. I love how prideful he is about Dwayne and how he considers him his best friend. I can imagine the grief is overwhelming rn at home. Rest in peace, Mr. Johnson.
Well, no he definitely, WAS NOT a true father- It was discovered (proven via DNA Tests) that he had at least 4 other kids that he hung up on when they tried to call him and talk to him (Therefore, these are Dwayne "The Rocks" true half-siblings)! One of Rocky Johnsons' proven other daughters is in the process of making a documentary on this, right now. She said that, herself, and The Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's other half siblings just simply wanted acknowledgment/love from their mutual father. WHICH THEY NEVER GOT. Now, would a "True Father" hang up on, ignore, and fail to acknowledge his own children? NO: A MAN would never do that!
The Rock is basically his moms face on his dads body. Perfect mix of both parents
Mom's face on his dad's body, his dad's nose on his mom's face.
His daughter is basically his face on a womans body. The resemblance is amazing
You can see the rock got his dads body but with a little more body fat on him cause of those somoan genes from his moms side of the family. Indeed perfect mix of both.
Wow nicely put
Dad's face also
Sir, you did a good job raising and teaching your son to be the guy he is now.
@Denzel Pinkerton I have enjoyed The Rock and he is a awesome guy. And his dad was and still wwe Legend. May he rest in peace and blessings to Dwayne The Rock Johnson. If you smell The Rock is cooking. ❤️ Goodbye Rocky Johnson. God bless you.
@Denzel Pinkerton I'm guessing that you like my comment about The Rock and his dad. The Rock is the Great One. The People's Champion. His dad is the greatest one who has raised a son who loves his dad. That's a bond that they'll always have.
Steven Stone LMAO wtf kind of drugs have you been taking?
@@miguel9943 I don't take drugs.
Inner Peace Dwayne is a high ranking Freemason
So, I kind of get why the guy believes they worship lucifer
Love the fact that Rocky Johnson said that "The Rock" wasn't a great worker, but he had psychology and knew how to get over. That's the most important thing in being a great pro wrestler.
You can see the pride he takes in his son. Rocky Johnson loves his son and he is practically glowing in this interview.
Rocky Johnson comes across as a man who was emotionally stable. Always using logic and not responding emotionally. That's important for a father. You have to be tough and in control, not losing your temper but be calm, cerebral and leading.
thats bc he came up in a time whereby a black man had to be more white than a white man to be accepted, hes a true well grounded old fashion man who lived life to the basic principles... and never got his fame get to his head... and he passed that down to his son
@@anthonyselby6436Uh, white men don't own the market on being logical and moral. History says the opposite. Ignorant comment.
Rocky Johnson passed away today, the WWE confirmed it earlier today but the cause of death is unknown at this time. Thank goodness he's already in the WWE Hall Of Fame and he didn't die at a young age like a lot of wrestlers before him have and had retired from wrestling years ago but it's still sad that he's no longer with us RIP.
I remember meeting Rocky at the River City Wrestling Con in Jacksonville, Florida back in June 2019!
Yes ! Being in a wrestling business, when you passed 70 is a big thing.
People die everyday and he's no different
@@emmanuelconner1787 Yes they do and nobody lives forever, not even us.
It's was a blood clot
You can tell how proud he is. He will be missed.
A proud father talking about his son
This is a real testament to The Rock's work ethic today and the pride he takes in his heritage and upbringing. Mr Rocky had the resources but he made him work for them from day one. Love it.
Thank you Rocky Sr. For training the Great One!!!
Sheev Palpatine or for giving us the Great One, period.
I love this so much, the way he remembers everything about his son and the way he praises him 😭😭😭😭 I wish I had a dad like that
Listening to him talk about his son with such details is beautiful ❤️ he truly loved his son that's why he was so hard on him and look what it made Him into a Global Icon . Nothing beats a STRONG father
Thats so cool...he proud of his boy. Nuthn like family
Nothing wrong with being proud of his boy but this nothing like family bs needs to stop. We're interconnected and everyone around us helped us all to be where we are. Slow down with overhyping immediate family. All are your family
Rip Rocky Johnson😢 Good bye Rocky. Without Rocky we wouldn't have had The Rock in WWE
Rock had great genetics, he was a natural winner in life. Some people are blessed to be born with the looks, the size, the intelligence, and the charisma.
And thats a gifted no can't take it except God
he put work in. He had to do things.
Dwayne Johnson is by far the best star that wrestling has produced.
Without a doubt
Vato Loko by far!!!!
Second best.
@@nathanplunkett1633 1st
Yeah, no!
Love how he tells the exact same stories here nearly 10 years after he told them when he was inducted into the hall of fame, like the father-son match in the Bahamas and that time he made Dwayne walk home, and I don't say 'love' in that sarcastic manner either, it is genuinely adorable.
Great interview. You can see where the Rock gets his personality and carisma. His dad was something special. One of the Legends of wrestling.
Not special at all.
Ask Tony.
And where was Dwayne when Rocky was buried?
No no: Rocky J is a goof...
@@Bazzeboy what happened?
Huge fan of Rocky Johnson RIP *note* Every time he says: The rest is history"
Sooo proud of The Rock.
RIP much prayers to his family he will always be remembered
This is the perfect example of how a good, loving strong father makes a great man.
I truly enjoyed this interview. R. I. P. " Soul Man" Rocky Johnson. 15 January 2020
I wish more fathers were this enthusiastic and all about their kids like The Rock's dad is.
lol, now I see where dwayne get's his manner of talking from. It's like seeing an older version of dwayne speaking. The body language is almost exactly the same.
remyboss17 Yes you're right. Especially the eyes, constant blinking Lool
Spitting image ... God broke that mold!!! 😉😁😁
The Rock is nicer. His dad you can tell was more direct. He told it like it is and didn’t mince his words.
The pride he has for his son. It’s very refreshing.
You can tell how proud he is by the way he talks about his son. Also Gridiron Gang is his favorite rock movie! Dope. Lmao rip 🙏
Who did he knock out? Dick murdoch?
He raised an amazing guy. Rest In Peace
True
The rock dad is cool asf. I know that he was harder on him then it sounds when he explains it. Tough love that made a solid rock.
My father told me about Rocky Johnson. He saw him wrestling at the D.C Armory a local legend. I used to watch wrestling with my dad every weekend and we would have a wonderful day together
"Soulman" Rocky Johnston
The old man don't be bullshitin. But that's amazing the The Rock is the highest paid actor in the world. Way to take care of your family Guys.
R.I.P Rocky Johnson you lived a legendary life😢
What a humble and genuine guy. RIP Rocky!
This pops up in my recommendations after hearing about his passing. RIP ROCKY JOHNSON
Rocky Johnson is a sincere, good man, and underrated strongman and athlete
R.I.P 😭 everyone will miss you
RIP Rocky Johnson you were great to watch !
You will be missed Rocky Johnson. The strange thing is that you die on Doctor Martin Luther King Junior's birthday. Both legends are now up in heaven right now. RIP to the both of you.
No one is perfect. This man did what he had to do to give his son a chance to grow and be a man. He was old school wrestling, town to town living on nothing to support his family . You gotta do what you gotta do for your family
The Rock's dad is very handsome and very well spoken.
Rest In Peace Rocky Johnson.......
you were one of the greats for sure.
His father must be so proud 👍🏼👍🏼
Kanav Kenth
Must? He is...
His Father is so proud of him. What a wonderful interview to watch. ❤
Beautiful thing to see .. reminds me of the relationship with my father . Without the immense success, just a proud father and aspiring son to be the best he can be
He should’ve played his dad in Walking Tall
True
That would of been cool but s he stated: He isn’t into action movies.
Im sure he swung the idea to him....
Agreed 💯, ❤️. That movie!! Uk england
There've been a few blue chippers who have surpassed their dad's success in wrestling. Randy Orton, Brett Hart come to mind.
To me though, Rocky Johnson was the best ever!
When a father loves his son.
You are looking so well Rocky!! So awesome how you support your son. You two really are alike.
He’s so proud of his son u can tell
R.I.P. Rocky. I recall watching this last year. Great tag team champion. Rocky genuinely seemed like a good man going by his aura. A legend.
My deepest condolences to you my brother Dwayne and the rest of the family. RIP, soul man. Like father like son. Thanks for raising an incredible man.
R.I.P Rocky the hall of fame star⭐️
I loved Rocky Johnson back in the '80's, he and Tony Atlas were the best!
He is The only one in theese shoot interviews Who just seem to speak the truth
Rip Rocky Johnson 🕊You were an inspiration for all of the people!!!
Gridiron Gang is the 2006 movie he's talking about that is his favorite film.
Good Movie too, real good movie
He sounds so proud. Thats awesome. Thanks for all your work, sir !
Take a shot each time he says "The rest is history" :)
They’re well off and they still make good money Wrestling.
Lol
And the rest is history
@@MedicatedMikey420mmj as they say...
Pretty cool for his dad to have so much love for him.
The part where he talks about his son’s favorite movies is the ones where it’s for the family and he doesn’t like him crashing cars and shooting up people is such a dad response. I love that so much. Rip Soul Man
This was awesome. You can tell he’s proud of his son
I met him in comic con in Newark nj he is an amazing person to talk to he was very kind hearted to my son who has autism and after my son got his picture and autograph he invited us back to his table to talk R.I.P 🙏🏼 very humble soul ❤

I was truly blessed and fortunate to have witnessed 3 generations of the Maivia and Johnson family wrestling. Saw Mr. Johnson at The Tarrant County Convention Center in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was really great to watch. R.I.P. Rocky Johnson (1944-2020)
RIP Rocky Johnson
I’ve met Rocky Johnson at the River City Wrestling Con in Jacksonville, Florida back in June 2019. He was a great guy, even as an athlete himself.
That's a real dad talking... Real and conscious about his efforts and what he helped his son to become. Solid as ever!
He kind of reminds me of my dad and sadly my dad passed away the same way he did from a pulmonary embolism. Rest in paradise Mr. Johnson
RIP man hope you rest in the sweet peace of heaven, thank you for your entertainment and for the great chip off the block in your son Dwayne
RIP Rocky..you’ve raised a great son. Your Legacy lives on👊🏿👊🏾👊🏿👊🏾
To all the dead beat dads out there this is how you raise your kids and become a great father be hard in your kids when you have to be and show live to your kid and the relationship will last forever RIP to a great father and man to do Rocky Johnson you did it right you showed your son hard work and focus can get you your dreams great job and role model
Rip a Legend😔
I have never seen game plan but hearing his dad speak about it and be so proud of him playing in it. Now I want to watch it. His dad seemed seemed like such a family man & well disciplined
God The Rock is looking more and more like Rocky Johnson the older he's getting.
Monica Logan he's supposed to. Most sons look at their fathers see themselves older
chrismc410 Not really most sons look like their mother. My brother go some of our father's feature but he looks like our mother. It's just The Rock is a dead ringer of Rocky. Also one thing every son does sound like their father and he does sound like him.
Monica Logan i guess I'm an anomaly. Other than my height, I'm taller than my dad, so were my uncles and grandfather on his side and I have no hair, lost it at a young age, same as my grandfather, I look and sound just like my dad as a young man.
chrismc410 yeah same as my brother like my brother is taller and bigger than my dad but he favors my dad and then also he talks similar as my dad lol. Same way as my uncle and cousin they sound just a like
One of the best interviews you have done. Great story, the human side.
His son is inspiration for millions
Family is first , a true man that loved his family and raised a boy into grate man RIP
I love the honesty, total dad mode...
Back in the 70's Rocky Johnson and Pat Patterson were my hero's. Thanks for the memories.
Damn, The rock look just like his dad.
Christina Bako Stop playing! They do? We can go together then. Lol
when he was young
He looks more like his mom
I reckon Dwayne looks like both of them
He looks like both. The older he gets the more he looks like his dad
Rocky !!! Rocky !!! Rocky!! Rocky !!!
RIP ,lovely kind man ,feel for Dwayne and his family , I know how he feels as I lost my dad recently ,it’s the worst feeling ever ,but time does heal
Rest in heaven sir u will be missed
Look, the Rock has a “sociably acceptable face” with his personality and Miami Hurricanes swag (plus family genes) he was destined! I am proud of him!
What's a socially acceptable face?
Proud papa here! R.I.P Rocky Johnson
He was a good looking man he and his wife did great with Dwayne
Nothing but RESPECT.
He seems like such an understanding type Father ❤️
This was a really good interview
I agree with Rocky
Dwayne Johnson only son who cares about his father God bless
Wish I would of seen this sooner. Funny how when people die, all of a sudden you start paying them attention. But man, his interviews are very informative, found out stuff I never knew ! He seemed to be so proud of his son and their relationship really did seem amazing as he stated. I know The Rock was reallly crushed. RIP Rocky Johnson. You seemed to be a great man
