I'm not a die hard fan or anything, but I felt like seeing Bryan Ferry live was like one of those things you must do before you die. I had low expectations but when we left, we were just stunned. "Let's Stick Together" is a blues-based rhythm and blues song written by Wilbert Harrison. In 1962, Fury Records released it as a single. Harrison further developed the song and in 1969, Sue Records issued it as a two-part single titled "Let's Work Together". Although Harrison's original song did not appear in the record charts, his reworked version entered the U.S. Top 40.
Several artists subsequently recorded the songs; "Let's Work Together" by Canned Heat (1970) and "Let's Stick Together"[1] by Bryan Ferry (1976) were both chart successes.

As a young lad I thought Bryan Ferry was the coolest man on the planet, I often still joke by saying I thought he was god 😀. I was off school ill and my father asked me if I wanted anything and I said I wanted Lets Stick Together on a vinyl 45. I wasn't sure what position it was in the UK charts at the time. My father went to Woolworths which at the time did the record charts for both albums and singles, but I was shocked with what he brought back but the Wurzels with Ive Got A Brand New Combine Harvester so whenever I hear either of those records it brings back this memory vividly 😊

the Paul Thompson drums Rick Wills bass Chris Mercer sax and Chris Spedding guitar. The amazingly great producer Chris Thomas on piano... this is like a super group in itself. I suspect this was a pseudo alternative version of Roxy that he might have tried to sell but didn't.

    "Let's Stick Together"
    (originally by Wilbert Harrison)
And now the marriage vow is very sacred
The man has put us together now
You ought to make it stick together
Come on, come on, let's stick together
You know we made a vow not to leave one another never
But now you never miss your water till your well runs dry
Come on now baby give our love a try
    Let's stick together
Come on, come on, let's stick together
You know we made a vow not to leave one another never
Well if you're stuck for a while consider our child
How can it be happy without its ma and pa
    Let's stick together
Come on, come on, let's stick together
You know we made a vow not to leave one another never
Well if you're stuck for a while consider our child
How can it be happy without its ma and pa
    Let's stick together
Come on, come on, let's stick together
You know we made a vow not to leave one another never

The US gave birth to Rock 'n' Roll but the Brits adopted it and nurtured it and made it the art form it is today.
Rock stars in the US charted higher in the UK than they did in their homeland.

I think it's their craftsmanship. It also applies to their TV and movies. This is one of the reasons Lucas made "Star Wars" in the " UK and Cameron "Aliens". Cameron wasn't to happy about the continual tea breaks while filming though. = D
