REMASTERED IN HD! Music video by Robert Palmer performing Addicted To Love. (C) 1985 The Island Def Jam Music Group #RobertPalmer #AddictedToLove #Remastered
My dear husband and I went to a Halloween party 1986 dressed as RP and I was his guitar girl. We won the contest! RIP Dale, love you forever, tomorrow would have been his 70th birthday.
I literally bumped into Robert Palmer on a street in Adelaide Australia on a drunken Saturday night in the 80s as he was walking out of about the only late night club we had there then. I was very young and pretty drunk, he was dressed immaculately in a suit and tie and could have been upset and angry with me but was wonderfully polite and friendly. Has always stayed with me as my brush with fame to this day in my late 50s. RIP Mr Palmer and thanks for yet another great 80s memory 😊
He really had it going on !loved it ,still wanna get up and totally gym to simply irresistible baby ! and someday I wouldn't mind seeing if I'm gonna have to face it
Robert Palmer - Was such an underrated singer. He’s a sad loss to the music industry. I’ve got a lot of his albums and listen to them regularly. I think he’s got a very distinctive voice. Singers nowadays don’t usually dress as good as he did. A clean cut and looked really great. A very sad loss, in my opinion.
We interviewed him in '89 when he visted our radio station. Drove with him into Bala Cynwyd, PA after our driver picked him up in a limo at Philly Airport. Very reserved, gentle man. Chain smoker, at the time, but weren't we all? Nice guy.
This has got to be one of the most iconic and memorable music videos of all time? AND-please note..these beautiful women are not all size zero...but they all totally kill.

I heard this on the radio when I was a small child and I thought he was singing "Mighty swell face but you're a ditditula." I didn't know what a ditditula was but it sounded unpleasant.
So much great music from the 80s. When this video aired on MTV the world stopped for a moment in awe. Amazing tune and the women in this video put it over the top. RIP Robert Palmer. Gone way too soon.
Awe is the best word. I remember a 35 year old coworker talking about it when the video came out saying the women were beautiful, white face, the makeup, black outfits, etc. She was so hyped and when I saw it, I was stunned. Great song and video.
Question, please: I recall this as being one of two songs that defined 80s MTV. The other was "Beautiful World" by DEVO. Are there any others that were as prominent (?)

Same age that Robert was in the video.
Remember that very well
Don't forget Casey Kasem's American Top 40👍
@@darringraham2613 Here in the UK it was the Radio One top 40 with Tommy Vance or Bruno Brookes.
Few weeks later I was walking the stage being my hs diploma
I heard this on the radio when I was a small child and I thought he was singing "Mighty swell face but you're a ditditula." I didn't know what a ditditula was but it sounded unpleasant.
This song will never play out!!!
Rest In Peace Robert Palmer 1949-2003 Aged 54
AMEN!!!
didn't know he died. Damn, more of my my youth gone, RIP Robert Palmer,
+DavidRsaid, he had a simple, typical 50 year old guy heart arrack. No drugs.
+DavidRsaid Autopsy. Public records. Try a little reading.
+DavidRsaid ooohhh, you're so insightful. Buh-bye
I don't care what anyone says, I love this video.
Quintessential 80s corniness which in retrospect was fucking awesome
Classic rock will never go out of style 👊
I love the 80s. Reminds me of my childhood so much. The cheese level is on fire. Unreal the ladies are all dancing to a different song!!
So much great music from the 80s. When this video aired on MTV the world stopped for a moment in awe. Amazing tune and the women in this video put it over the top. RIP Robert Palmer. Gone way too soon.
Yep, shania twain copied it too much success.
Awe is the best word. I remember a 35 year old coworker talking about it when the video came out saying the women were beautiful, white face, the makeup, black outfits, etc. She was so hyped and when I saw it, I was stunned. Great song and video.
Still Relevant EYE and EAR CANDY!
My 5 year old son was mesmerized!!!
As soon as I got home he took me to wait for it to play again.
Question, please: I recall this as being one of two songs that defined 80s MTV. The other was "Beautiful World" by DEVO. Are there any others that were as prominent (?)
