I remember being bummed by my rejection with iTalki as well because I was so excited I was like I've got this in the bag - yhoo the disappointment. Like you just said I checked my application and re-watched my introduction video all to hear flushing of the toilet in the background noise. I don't know how I could not pick that up.
Yes sometimes it’s small mistakes that make your application to be rejected. Try out other platforms also whilst waiting to retry on iTalki

Don't bother with Preply, they blocked me because I changed my video which they didn't like. With italki they won't accept me because South Africa doesn't know how to print Driver's Licences, mine is unreadable and I still have an old ID book...such a mess. Thanks for you vid hun!

Italki is really easy to get accepted. I was accepted in days. All the information on how to get accepted is out there, italki provide a lot of information themselves, it's not difficult as long as you follow what they ask.
Cambly won't look at applications unless they have openings. They do not overhire. With the closing of Chinese platforms, cambly are bombarded with applications. I doubt they have time to give everyone feedback, it's not realistic. Again, cambly make it very clear what they are looking for. Its not difficult to be accepted. The fact they dont over hire is amazing, as once you're accepted you are guaranteed bookings as soon as you open your schedule. They're awesome! And they pay weekly!!

Is it true that in this site one gets paid from 3$ up to 20$ for each student per hour?
There are too many teachers and few students on italki... even experienced teachers complain about the drop!
I'm on italki and I can tell you it's a struggle for getting serious students, even with 5/5 stars+great reviews+ low prices
Yes the market is oversaturated now, I think that’s why they are rejecting applications
Preply is quite a opposite. There are lot of students.
Hey, I have a TEFL certificate and applied to italki I got rejected and I don't really know why so it completely turned me off from applying to other companies I eventually ended up applying with native camp and I passed the test and system check and was scheduled for an interview my interview was set for around 2am and I think about 20 mins before my interview once I was given access to communicate with one of the employees on Skype and where I was completely declined from even having my interview because they are now only hiring Philippines and sent me a link to another website to restart the entire application process but in that one you can only apply if you American or Canadian 🙄

I literally just got rejected on italki right now. Now I'm here to see what's up 😭waiting on preply but I'm bummed already but I'll try new platforms as well. Apparently there's too many community tutors. I don't know why they even ione applications if it's not allowed
Preply... You'll only get students if you charge $2 per hour and that's less than R40 + their commission. First lessons you don't get any money. Slavery. I deleted my account today.

Stop being scared. Just apply and if you get rejected apply elsewhere or try again. Never give up ever

Lol Yes you should reapply. Its suggested that you wait a few months before submitting a new application but if you can't wait reapply using a different email and check for mistakes that you made in your previous application. I hope this helps💞
